Why are people so quick to make judgments after seeing a video that is less than a minute long?
There are a lot of really good detectives and would-be law enforcement officers on social media right now. A lot of Criminal Lawyers as well. Why go to Police Academy when you can just read comments on Twitter? Better yet, how many of these people would survive being a cop for one day? NOTE: I am NOT condoning the killing of innocent men, but what I do have a problem with is the entire world jumping to conclusions before all the information is out.
Gut emotional reaction based on existing biases and how bad the video looks - and facts coming out later rarely affect views set by the initial reaction.
The "precedent" has been set! Too many Black are being killed by police with no consequences for their actions. Therefore, as human, they (Blacks) are looking for ANYTHING to keep in line with their thinking of "No Justice - No Peace!" However, EVERYONE is entitled to "due process" under the law.
Can't say that happened for Charles Jackson (sniper)???
It appears that we as a human are inherently bias and we prefer to see what we would like to see.
In this age of social media, we are overloaded with information and selectively process information which is in tune with our beliefs, ideas or attitude.
Moreover, it is easier to go with the larger group / opinion than be contrariant.
