Do you agree with our politicians that if the guns are taken away there will not be mass killings.

The man in Japan proved that you do not need a gun to kill 15 people and wound 45.

I have never heard any politician anywhere in the world ever say that the removal of guns will stop mass killings. I have heard some say it could reduce the number of possible deaths or make it harder for some people who may want to use a gun on a killing spree to get their hands on more powerful weaponry. These numbers actually do bare out during the 10 year period of the assault weapons ban law of 1994-2004 with the total number and percent of population mass killings. That being said, tougher gun laws will not stop all mass killings, and even if another weapons ban were instituted to reduce the percentage of mass killings per 1,000 people; as the population grows the number of mass killing would eventually rise as a total number of killings. Much of the problem has to do with the fact that people who initiate mass killings are planning out the attack on their victims and therefore will inflict a lot of damage whether their victims have guns or not. The element of surprise is their greatest weapon.  Additionally, while many Americans want to carry their guns all the times, a lot of private property owners (businesses) do not want everyday citizens to carry guns as it hurts their business.  So if you target people in a club, store, etc you need to rely on security or the police. This is my two cents, don't need the usual suspects to reply to my answers or ask me questions as this is my statement.

We don't have to  wait because we have already had mass killings by bombs, trucks, and axes just to name a few.
99.9% of legal gun owners don't use them criminally. Half of the gun deaths in the US are suicides.A fair number of deaths are from gangs. A negligible number a very small number of guns have been used for mass killings.
It would be better to guard against the person rather than their choice of weapons.

Of course the politicians in power now want our guns and won't even face up to places like Chicago that have none and live in violence from the criminals that get guns anytime that want!. Look at other countries today where they have no guns...they cannot protect themselves and they do not have enough police to protect a handful! We better be looking at other countries and know that people here having guns and willing to use them is all that is keeping terror away as much as it is but it will still be horrible before it is over unless we get someone in office to put some fear into these terrorist and let them know that America will be safe again!!!!

Thanks for your comment.  I agree with you.  The terrorists and criminals will always have guns.

No I do not. You do not need a gun to kill people.  This has been proven. The terrorists and criminals will still have guns.
