Will Trump take the USA backward or forward with women's rights?
Some editorials accuse Trump of being sexist but some of his staff members say he supports women's rights. What do you think?
Where are women's rights today after 8 years of Obama and 8 years of GW Bush, and 8 years of Bill Clinton and 4 years of GH Bush?
Where is the line today? If we don't know where it is today, then how do you know how president Trump will affect it?
Do we even know what Women's rights are at all?
Hillary Clinton thought that she had a Right to president because she was a woman, and the country never had a women president. Somewhat similar to Barack Obama, although he was only half black. Hillary is most likely all woman.
Marcy, maybe you could write a hub on it, as the question as asked is vague and ambiguous. Not a slam, just an opinion.
? Should all people get the same pay, like the $15 minimum, or should pay be given on merits. Equal pay for equal work and performance.
? Aren't there women out there that get more pay than they are worth, just because they are a female.
? How many men are not getting the same pay as other men
Isn't the workplace more true to saying,"It is not what you know but who you know"?
?Could it be possible that men on average get more pay because more men have been in the work place longer than most women. And even the men get screwed by other men.
Just to mention a few. Feel free to delete my comment for any reason.
Can anyone answer my questions? And why is abortion a women's right?
your opinions are skewered. you dont start from a basis in reality. you live in brad-land. hillary is a life-long worker in public service, not some queen demanding power. and abortion is my right, because i am the one who has to make the sacrifices.
Brad, it is very true that teaching was a lower paid profession for years in the 20th Century because most teachers were women. Same for secretarial, nursing and waiting tables. Some women writers took men's names to get published.

My question was about Abortion being a women's right??
People should be paid according to the work they do not because of their gender.
It’s not who know, it’s what you know about who you know.
Shyron, I agree and unfortunately many times it is who you know.
"is most likely all woman" .... LMFAO that was classic.
Brad, you said your question was about abortion being a woman's right. Couldn't prove it by me. It took about 35 lines to ask why a woman has a right to an abortion. But that's typical Trump thinking. Hide the issue.

abovementioned link is a computer virus-malware. IGNORE the link.......
Can't go any further backwards than giving women the right to murder their own baby in the womb for no reason other than the baby is an inconvenience.
Hopefully Trump can find the strength to bring us out of the dark ages on this subject and allow the constitution to be interpreted as it was written and not as the SC in 1973 ruled succumbing to Judicial activism.
Roe v. Wade is the single-most destructive Supreme Court ruling in history. It is responsible for the death of over 55 million human lives, and harming millions of women and men whose “choice” has caused death, regret, and an unfulfilled “promise” of “equality”. The supremely wrong decision (like many other Supreme Court rulings in American history) allowed the killing of an unborn child through the 7th month of pregnancy (the point of viability). Based on a complete lie (Jane Roe had originally claimed she had been raped) the justices never even heard from the actual plaintiff. She was merely a pawn. Jane Roe is actually Norma McCorvey. Many people don’t realize that she actually gave birth to her child and allowed her to be adopted and loved. Due to the influence of pro-life advocates, in 1995, everything changed. She became a Christian (Roman Catholic) and was Roe no more. Today, McCorvey passionately defends women and their unborn children and is fighting to overturn Roe v. Wade.
This case is activist because the Supreme Court relies upon notions of living constitutionalism, invoking the doctrine of “substantive due process” to create a right that is nowhere to be found in the text of the Constitution. This doctrine, which was established in Dred Scott v. Sandford, is the prime example of judges reading broad constitutional terms divorced from any textual or originalist moorings, thereby making them empty vessels into which they can pour any policy preferences they desire. The Due Process Clause, which is now being used by judges as a “judicial wildcard,” was simply meant to protect the citizens from government abuse by ensuring that no one be deprived of life, liberty, or property except by a fair process. The fact that the Court has used the word “substantive” to describe a clause that is clearly about process creates an anachronism that defies language and logic. The Court in Roe wields the Clause to support abortion rights without any reasoned justification: after citing previous Supreme Court cases that erroneously established a broad constitutional right to privacy, the Court blithely asserted that this right “is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.”

Excellent comment.
In addition, the interest of the state increases in the 2nd and 3rd trimester
said by someone who will never get pregnant....let me know when you want gubmint in charge of your prostate.
Can't get more insane than likening a baby to a prostate gland - there is something really wrong with that, oh I'm sorry, I forgot, I'm talking to someone who approves of murdering babies even at full term as they are being born.
so does benjamin netanyahu. you still loooove him, dont you? hypocritical attitude. people dont really hate abortion, they hate american women.
all the christians here support the state of israel, which allows and pays for abortions. so, its really not abortion theyre against at all, or theyd be against israel as well.
Once again, where are women's rights today, right now?
some states you cannot get abortions anymore. the church/state has set up road blocks as to make it impossible. women are imprisoned for miscarriage. coat hanger abortions are back. women are less safe, less respected, less free.
If someone tries to murder you with a gun and shoots himself who is going to be sympathetic to the murderer? If that's how pregnant women were thinking about coat hanger abortions maybe they wouldn't do it.
What about women who use birth control but it fails? Or women who are raped? Just "oops, too bad, so sad"?
Do you listen to yourself?Because your birth control doesn't work it's ok to commit murder?simply because pregnancy is an inconvenience?http://tinseltownmom.com/10-celebrities-who-were-conceived-by-rape-or-bore-a-child-out-of-rape/ adoption
The point is....the women pay for it either way. Therefore abstinence is key. The guy leaves, you are on welfare.....Most men just make you another statistic. Maybe it does pay to be a lesbian....LOL
Thing is not everyone would agree that aborting a cluster of cells is "murder". But alright, say you have it your way. No more abortions. Who's caring for the extra 40-50 million kids born every year?
I predict there will be more jumping on the LGTB bandwagon....Then we will really have riots.
Thank you!! LOL I didn't get a social work degree for nothing.....
Still no one is telling me where is the line today? How can you tell where Trump will take it if you don't define where it is today after 8 years of Obama. In fact, where was the line when Obama took it from GW Bush?
More women than men go to college....Why don't you start there?
Sorry Bro. I'm interested in fewer abortions not overturning RvW. Focus on preventing pregnancy, not abortion. Do the 1st and you've done the 2nd. Contraception in the hands, and other places, of anyone, any age, no parental consent=fewer abortions.
Chris..YES! Amen. Education, FREE Birth control. Respect 4 all life. When is it LIFE? Only "living things" grow. Does a fetus begin to "grow" Day 1 & continue? Concentration on educ, BC & the alternative of adoption.
And you DO NOT have the right to tell a woman what to do with her body. That is her decision alone.
UR correct, Amber! I don't have the right 2 tell any1 what 2 do w/ their body..which is why I Do NOT tell anyone what 2 do w/ their body. read ALL my comments B4 U snap like a child w/ tantrum. Read my exchange w/ Ronnie." While reading, grow up.
you just dont get it, do you? the gvt you elected IS telling women what they can and cant do with their bodies. "we are pro-life". that means anti abortion, anti birth control, and they think they have perfect right to tell us what to do. thanks!
My former female employer, a diehard feminist and a Republican as she was wont to say, "down to my smallest toe," had a theory about why it is MEN are the most vocal about abortion. Here is what she said, "Men believe they are giving women "something" as a "gift" when men impregnate women. That's why they are so vociferous when women dare to end a pregnancy. To these men, the woman is refusing their "gift" and that makes them angry."
Of course, women today will fight to be able to control their own bodies. But, how about if we women control men's bodies? You think they'll allow that? You bet not. So what are men really talking about?
There are women who MUST have abortions. I know 2 of them who had "tubal pregnancies." One of the two didn't know she was even pregnant and ended up in the hospital when her fallopian tube nearly burst.
Ask any man or his financially dependent wife about this and you get a blank stare. So, my suggestion is for these men and women to have a bowling ball surgically implanted into their colons. Let's see how fast they change their attitudes about abortion.
“Women were created from the rib of man to be beside him, not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him, but from under his arm to be protected by him, near to his heart to be loved by him.”
Hxprof, lol Good luck making any sense of those two comments. Basically to a liberal it means the right to use your money (through taxes) to keep her from getting pregnant & if she does the right to use your money again to murder her baby.
what about her money through her taxes? you are saying she can pay taxes, but has no right to benefit from them.
To begin with most people getting abortions don't even pay taxes, they are on welfare. Can't you conjure up a better excuse? You have no concept of right and wrong.69 percent of women who have abortions are economically disadvantaged.
doesnt matter to me if shes poor or rich. same rights apply. supreme court settled it. its a medical procedure guarenteed by the constitution, which overides your bible. and if my taxes are going to help her, thats great by me. her life, not yours.
The point isn't her poverty, as usual you conflate issues to avoid admitting you are wrong. The point was most women who get abortions don't pay taxes which you claimed they do. Wrong, wrong, wrong as always you are wrong.
most women who get abortions dont pay taxes? how would you know that? who told you, pence?
and it doesnt matter. taxes are a community pool. we all pay for things we dont like, like emergency room care for gunshot victims. like viagra. like war. AND?
Are U a man? If so, I'll bet U know UR rights 2 the letter.WOmen have the same rights! Why wouldn't we? Do U have a common sense realistic reason? (I do NOT believe in abortion) I also don't believe I have the right 2 dictate to other women!!
That is no different than saying , "I don't have the right to dictate to a serial killer who they can kill. " It is simply not possible to be against murder and then accept someone's "right" to commit murder. I will show you the way to Ixtlan.
Ronnie..I don't give "permission" nor can I forbid. I don't have that power..do U? I choose 4 myself. Why & how could I choose 4 U or others? If they don't listen to most powerful, they won't listen to me OR U! I'm realistic.
Your question sidesteps the issue. It's not a matter of having the authority to grant someone permission. If we believe something is wrong then we stand against it. U seek to appease your morality while not offending the world.
Ronnie. Yes, I AM sidestepping~~feeling the right 2 dictate what others may or may not do~what choice they MUST make 2 comply w/ what I believe.YES, I am anti-abortion."IF" I was asked 4 permission, I would NOT give it. Now what? U don't C my point?
Of course I see your point. I also eat meat and I was raised on a farm. But I understand that killing animals is also murder. I willing participate in a brutal industry. It is my own hypocrisy that I struggle with. It is a great burden.to carry.
just to be clear...no tax dollars are allowed to pay for abortions NOW,already.hyde amendment,1973.this church of america wants to defund planned parenthood, even tho abortions are not funded by taxes.they want birth control out of insurance WE pay 4!
Well, now I don't C Ur point. I am not responsible 4 the choices & actions of others.Using UR example: I don't perform abortions nor do I have power 2 vote aye or nay on laws. Thus,I truly don't feel the burden U speak of in UR scenario.
nor will i. im 2 old to get pregnant, or use birth control. but i know plenty who are, and do. and i know how important it is that woman have the ability to get birth control, and the option for abortion. we are now ruled by people will take it away.
It is interesting feminists are silent about female Trump supporters hit with pepper spray on camera by liberal men. It is as if women's rights only apply to liberal women, not conservatives or Muslim women in poor nations.
do you think your comment is bringing people together?
who said 69% of women have abortions are economically disadvantaged. All women are economically disadvantaged. & rich women who have abortions U will not hear about.
No man has a right to dictate to a woman whether she can have an abortion or no
Women's rights: Just the opposite of what most Judaeo-Christian males think we should have. Glad I'm married to a Native American.
Need a definition of men's rights? I think as the sister to 5 brothers and half brothers, 1 ex, 2 sons, 11 nephews and having worked in the all male sales and engineering environments and closely with male CEOs, men need LESS not more rights.
Men today want to be boss. Not when women are paying taxes on their incomes EQUAL to a man's. The more men push that bossy, overbearing attitude, sexually molest women in the workplace and prey on teen girls ala Roy Moore and Trump, the more angry women become.
So, let's talk about why men need less rights. First? When you see a meeting called to discuss women's rights in Congressional sessions and there isn't a single woman on that committee, the first right to reduce from men is to remove their noses in women's lives.
Then, men need to stop pretending they know anything about how a woman's body functions and why. How dare any man tell a woman what her body can and can't do. I say, let's start telling men what they can and can't do with THEIR bodies.
If power is the only validation for male existence, that's a poor excuse for MANHOOD.
He's elected already and we can't do anything about it. Let's just hope for the best...
A wise man need use few words. Well done.
so, are you calling the tea party stupid? they certainly did something about obama....blocked him at every pass, protested and showed their opposition. expect the same.
Leslie give it a break he said you can't do anything about him being president - your side wants to stop the inauguration, force the electors to disregard their duty, declare the election illegitimate & basically start a coup. GROW UP.
Leslie
Gustavo had the right view. You just keep feeding us fish, red herrings, I hate red herrings. I am for Trump not the Tea Party or the Republicans.
sorry, you voted trump, you get tea party and republicans, hes not a king. and nobody is stopping the inauguration,i just find it interesting you think it would have been wise for the tea party to accept obama. i dont remember them,or you doing that.
Forward. I think he has a wonderful reputation for hiring women on merit not due to gender. We will have to wait and see, but I think forward.
Leslie, U have Literally hit an all time low. Tell us U didn't just print the most brainless, outrageous, asinine stupidity ever printed. Un-friggan-real. Do you have no pride, no class, no grey matter? U've gone way too far.way off the edge
Above comment in response to Leslie's God comment!! Les I suggested B4 & I'll say it again. Take a break and give it a rest. U're off the wall. UR truly obsessed & incensed & pathetic. Calm down and breathe..
funny, thats what a lot of people are saying to prez trump...think he'll listen?
I don't know if DT will "Listen."U should be able 2 C in that crystal ball of URS If HE will B his own undoing & Poof! Bah Bye DT!.Then it will B happy days & champagne 4 Leslie & the Libs (good name 4 a Rock Band!) My focus is the whole
i dont drink. donuts n coffee to celebrate the end of madness. it'll do. but if we get pence, its really no better. we need a whole new election, since this one was as dirty as trumps business dealings.
Neither - President Trump takes a lot a flak from people who think he's against women, but in reality, he's just a crude dude; like a large percentage of American men (argue all you want, but men are men and they talk terrible, get braggadocio, and embellish a wee bit too much from time to time.) Trump is going to be less involved in social programs than anyone will expect because he'll be focused on the economy, jobs, and building the wall. He will be shaking the trees in DC to root out corruption and graft and focus on doing the right thing. He's not out to get gays, women, or any other special interest groups, BUT, they won't be getting special treatment or extra rights, like they do now. They'll be treated just like every other freedom loving taxpayer, unless they take up arms against him and demand something more, things should be good for them under his leadership.
he just signed an executive order moving forward with a pipeline project in which he owns stock. a project which the tribes have called an act of war. he just declared it. guess who majority of people here are with? not your caligula. it is war.
how can he root out corruption when he is in cahoots with the worst of the worst and his corruption roots are deeper than most.
What "extra" rights are you speaking of? Last I checked women minorities & LGBT just want the same rights afforded to white men. As a LGBT female I just to be paid the same as men in the same position & marry who I love. Not extra, but equa
Are you happy about paying for the wall?
Speak 4 yourself Ralph. Compared to Trump I am a sex God. I'm not a billionaire, and women still find me irresistible. Why? Because I am not a pig, and I treat women with respect.
Definitely forward, with Hillary she would just be feeding the delusion that women get paid 70 cents to a man's dollar or whatever that phony fact is. Trump promotes hard work, and he treats everyone the same, that is exactly what women want right? Yes Trump doesn't stand for abortion, but he is well aware planned parenthood gives women good healthcare, so he won't scrap the funding of planned parenthood for the parts not related to abortion. Also, Trump recognizes the Radical Islamic Terrorist threat. Keeping those people out of our Country is a great service for women, as well as homosexuals. I know I wouldn't feel too good to have people that actually think I should be punished for not covering up all my skin. And people that believe the wife should always listen to the husband. Feminism is needed in the middle east, not here. Like I've seen some people mention Trump has a history of hiring women in the past to administrative jobs that people never would have given to women at the time. Many people say he is sexist because it was just a character attack widely used on him, but if you look back at his actions, they really show something else. The future looks promising
Yea...He's slap a guy on the ass just like he does a woman....GUARANTEED!!!
"Many people say he is sexist because it was just a character attack widely used on him." .... ARE YOU DELUSIONAL!?! He admitted on tape to sexually assaulting a woman!
Nothing promising in your future. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you. You seem to have trouble connecting the big dots. Namely: Jeffrey Epstein, who is Trumps billionaire pedophile friend.
Trump will likely be rated by historians as one of the greatest U.S. presidents. As for women, he will produce a country that is respected, more skillfully employed, and will not bow to Middle Eastern dictators who run their countries by Sharia Law. The left-wing-nut haters spewing venom are just unhinged at losing Congress, state houses, presidency, governors, local offices and soon, the Supreme Court. They should put the blame where it belongs...on Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama - who has the shortest coattails in American history - and the shameful, insecure and unsecure Democratic Party to which they belong.
hp alert!! --->right wingers needed to chastize the above post for being divisive, insulting and not trying in the least to respect others of the opposing side....c'mon, pretend he's me or ap...let him have it! "the lecture" <--
Great post Larry ! Just ignore Leslie, she's too busy always parroting leftists talking points that one wonders if she can even think for herself.
hey, im only looking for fairness. if im lectured about being civil, others should be too. otherwise, it looks like im supposed to play nice, while others can insult to their hearts content. as if tea party never happened, dems supposed to melt.nyet!
Leslie, I'm with u.Everyone has the right to make a fool of themselves on HP and someone has to tell them, call them out when they do,because it is never obvious to us by the repeated shameless nonsense&make believe u,I mean they, spew here.
God is not hateful like those that are playing God in this conversation. Leave God to do his job in judging others. This isn't your job to take.
Hear that Leslie? quit playing God and being so hateful..
"left-wing nut haters spewing venom" did not come from me.nor did "shameful, insecure, unsecure democratic party". perhaps your bible doesnt consider "shameless nonsense and make believe" 2be judgemental or hateful.sometimes i wonder, have you read it?
Yes, I have read it. I don't agree with it either. However, I have lived in a military community, and they won't give up their opinion, and I won't give up mine. Therefore, what's the point?
i was talking to tazer bro! im on your side pathways!
I know Leslie. I am just saying, "they r very hard headed, & not very open minded." If you have the stamina for this, then I say, "go for it." However, I don't. I have medical issues, & I care about my own well being. Just take care of you
It is interesting that the only rights liberals defend are sexual - that others pay for sex change operations, abortions, never judge someone badly for having affairs or sex out of wedlock, pay for the children others create outside an intact family (collective responsibility for personal irresponsibility).
But freedom to express your opinion, freedom of association, economic opportunities from a strong economy, freedom to build your home as you choose and eat what you'd like ... all those freedoms liberals don't care about and actually want to deny us because they know so much better than the rest of us.
Trump is in favor of broader personal freedoms by reducing the size of the state. It is the political left that says it gets to micromanage your life down to banning words and telling you what clothing and hair styles you are allowed to wear.
In that regard, Trump will improve EVERYONE's rights, men and women.
Suppose the state no longer subsidizes sexual freedom, you will remain free to pay for your own abortion, sex change, etc. You can still have a child out of wedlock but may not receive as many benefits paid for by the rest of us, encouraging adoption instead of more single motherhood.
But you won't be able to take my money to pay for it or demand the state force me to be silent about either the act itself or my money used to pay for it.
When you get right down to it anything the liberals fight for is a fraud designed to take your money& enlarge government. Women's rights (really right to murder your baby), global warming (a ruse), minorities (only to get their vote) ...
what makes you think its only your money? we women work and pay taxes...but know who doesnt? the church.why is an entity that pays no taxes telling me i cant utilize the taxes i pay? and you are wrong. trump wants to end abortion rights, as does gop
Leslie or any of the women.
Can you tell us where the line in the sand is today, after 8 years of Obama? Simple question simple Answer??
obama is not the problem. republicans are. house, senate, states, and soon supreme court. obama is a feminist, i have no problem with him at all.and democratic party platform is decision is woman's to make. they trust women...and respect.
Leslie
Obama is history, deal with it. As the great HRC said, "What difference does it make"?
I think you have forgotten what is the question here? Will Trump take the USA backward or forward with women's rights? Where is the line now?
global gag rule. he crossed it. its done. back we go....wait til we are forced to have guns and god in schools. but only their god, mind you. and forget about common sense gun safety...oh no. open carry, starting in kindergarden! bush 4. on steroids.
Read about the Muslim migrant rape crisis in the EU. Ending the importation of men from a true rape culture protects women, whereas the EU is arresting critics of the rapists' culture instead.
TW, Brock Turner (white) only did 6 months 4 rapimg unconscious woman. Kraigen Grooms (white) pleaded guilty to raping a girl under the age of 2. Video of the rape was posted on the internet. He got 10 yr.sus.sentence. White rapists R biggest threat.
this is not about rape, tw. it is about forbidding women to talk about abortion, which has been done since the beginning of time...long before your male gods showed up to suppress us. we wont have it! if your lives are that empty, learn how to knit.
Trump may take the USA back into alignment for equal rights for women with men. Ladies if we are being honest, the pendulum of rights under the past decade has swung past the mid point and is now more pro women than pro male. At least that is what I see in high schools and in companies with college degree based jobs.
More young girls are getting college scholarships than boys. More girls are in the top 10% of their high school class ranking than boys in most schools. While this is not a bad thing I wonder what is causing this change.
At work, the diversity & inclusion programs as well as government's protected race and gender rights clearly give LBGQ, women and select non-white men a strong platform and backing that others do not have. I have seen others get raises due to falsely stating that they are gay in order to better protect their employment. I have seen women promoted above men or get jobs over better qualified men many times just because they are women. I see executive men afraid of speaking their mind out of fear of the D&I group at work. I believe this is wrong and I saw it happen at BP.
I believe Trump's team may reverse some of this activity similar to what he is doing with the broken ACA healthcare system.
While I believe Trump probably thinks of attractive women as pleasure units to men and are also for having babies, most successful men have similar thoughts whether we like it or not.
I do not believe in abortion for me, but do not find fault in most woman that choose to have an abortion. That decision is between her and her doctor and her God. I recall Trump saying something very similar to this himself?
In fact I wonder WHY, if trump is such a serial misogynist, why no recent complaints or lawsuits against him exist for sexual harassment? All the dozen or so complaints during the campaign were about 10+ years old incidents. None were recent - this seems suspicious and makes the trump's defense of "fake news" potentially believable.
Anyway I think Trump will take the USA somewhat backward with women's rights but if handled carefully that may not be such a bad thing. Parts of the women and gay movement have gone too far and may be getting corrupted similar to what happened with labor unions. We will have to wait and see what happens.
Amazing answer and I commend you for your bravery in posting it.
Jmann. You are one, brave, fair, honest, rational, wise, intelligent woman! Cheers! I love it!....Proud to be a woman.
A brilliant, well articulated and thought out comment. I applaud your contribution and hope to see more from you.
I am thrilled to note that the FEC recently reported in 2018 that the number of women running for public office has increased by 23%.
You always know when a wife batterer like Steve Bannon says, "Women are going to change society," what he really fears most is loss of his manhood if women outnumber men in government.
Real men have no such fear of loss of manhood. These days, they can't afford to when their spouse or partner is providing that nice cushion of second income.
Ewent, women are becoming more powerful than ever. They know that having their own career & income is instrumental in that power. Women who have no outside careers nor income have no power in the household, they are subjected to the husband's rules & dictates. They have no say in the household whereas women who have careers & income have POWER in the household along with the husband.
While many men desire, even WANT their wives to be equally contributing members of the household, there are men who by their infantile need for control, want women to be silent vessels so to speak. Such men want their women to obey & submit. They don't want a powerful woman. Women realize that if they want more power, they have to run for political office.
I feel that Trump will take the USA forward with women's rights and in all areas. Why? God allowed him to get there, be voted in, and whether he knows it or not, surrounded himself with believers. Right now, I'm taking a wait and see approach because media is having a field day with Trump. It is the media's job to tell whatever they want for the ratings but we have a duty to investigate it ourselves and not rush to conclusions.
Trump won't take women anywhere... WOMEN will move themselves forward, or backward, collectively, as they see fit.
Trump is nothing but a reflection of the people on this Nation, just like Obama was.
People supported Obama, what he stood for in total if not in particular, but his swing of extremes... to ignore blaming radical islam or even saying such words, to supporting BLM while denouncing the Police, embracing Cuba and Venezuela while frowning on England and overthrowing former allies in Egypt... so the pendulum swings the other way, because people start to fear the changes going on around them.
And when the changes around them are Police getting murdered everywhere, and people being slaughtered in the name of a religion here in America as well as Europe, and the rest of the country watching CA being over-run by millions of illegals and the government there capitulating and giving them licenses and voting rights... then yes, not only was Trump a foregone conclusion... we should all be thankful that he is NOT anything like what the 'media' tries to make him out to be, he is not the next Hitler, not the next Stalin... because there are plenty of Americans that would have supported someone much closer to that extreme in an effort to protect themselves from the 'changes' brought on over the last eight years.
I forgot to mention the huge hike in healthcare costs, and all those companies that were planning to close and ship jobs overseas.
trump is the one appointing the next justice. ryan said the house was pro life. 33 states have anti abortion gvrs....and yet 3.2 million americans came out to tell them keep your gvt off our bodies...somehow, this picture doesnt mesh. something wrong
All i can say is.. "Lets just give him time". Although he has been rough and a little bit of sexist but i have faith he will change soon. I believe his advisers will push him towards something better that will be positive for a better America and the world too.
have you read what bannon says about women??...if he advises trump we'll be back to founding dad days.
The real Question should have been deeper , " Will women take the USA and women's rights backwards" by really believing that Trump is a sexist ? I say ,Constantly screaming "The sky is falling " in any issue virtually and constantly pushes the reality of ANY progress backwards because of creating falsehoods. After awhile people STOP listening ! Is THAT what you want ?
i heard him loud and clear. "i'm pro life. i will appoint a pro life judge. pro life christians will be very happy". "yes, i believe there should be some form of punishment for women who have abortion". what did you hear?
So true, all this 'blow up the White House" protests, obstructionist politics, etc. ... it is only going to get the Socialist, Sharia Law, Globalist Democrat Party not a win in 2018 or 2020 it is going to net them even more losses than 2014 and 16
blow up the white house....where are you getting that??
I think that if people did their homework they would see that in his businesses Trump's staff is 57% male and 43% female and generally his female employees make more money than their male counterparts (http://dailycaller.com/2015/08/17/attor … ale-video/). This would be another good article about a woman who worked for/with Trump-http://www.cbsnews.com/news/what-women-who-worked-for-trump-have-to-say-about-him/. I think that sometimes things are blown way out of proportion. I understand that there are concerns about repealing Roe.V.Wade but I do not think that is going to happen. I have no problem with a woman's right to choose and if she thinks that having an abortion is that right choice she should be allowed to do it. I think that Trump may have verbal diarrhea and just says whatever he thinks but I do not think that womens rights will move backward.
He had his wife as president of Trump enterprises in the 70s. All the men from other countries were frowning on him for that but he stood him ground. This crap about Trump being ant women is garbage. Too bad people believe it instead of learning the truth
Glenda/ Sharon/ Leslie- I am impressed that other women are willing to brave the violent liberal hate mongers and speak their mind about our new President. He says and acts like he supports "equal rights" for all versus "extra rights" for only some
Any woman who would support a greedy, racist, misogynist like Trump is deserving of the second class citizenship women have enjoyed for 250 years here in the USA. Without a doubt, they R suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. The "Stepford Wives" R 4real.
trump likes beautiful women like charms on a bracelet. He likes little girls for pleasure and all the others he considers pigs.
I'm surprised at this question-no offense to the asker-but I remember back in the 1980s-I think with Papa Bush when he tried to overturn Roe vs. Wade. I honestly don't remember massive protests across the nation. I do remember a peaceful protest outside the Supreme Court of both Pro-lifers and Pro-choice.
I know that not everybody will not get equal pay. For example, I work in a factory. I do not expect to get the same pay as a doctor or lawyer. But in the job I do, I get equal pay in with others in my skill level.
I honestly do not think I will feel that my rights will be violated after either 4 or 8 years.
I can't see how Trump being sexist or not has much to do with women's rights unless you believe that women should have extra rights not available to others.
As far as the existing laws go, I don't see any real threat to the Constitutional rights of women.
your guys and gals just released their replacement aca bill.they defund all of planned parenthood across the usa.if you dont consider that sexists, ill GIVE you christies bridge! even tho men use it too, we all know who this hurts.poor women n kids

Prompted by a CNN "The Sixties" segment,I admit I was unaware...That in the 60s women made 59 cents for the same work a man was paid a dollar. That access to birth control. was generally illegal - a long process and a compassionate doctor were necessary to get it - and then only for...

Republicans always want to take a mile when they are given an inch. Conservatives cheer with the overturn of Roe vs Wade, saying it was a victory for States Rights. So the Red States double down creating a Handsmaiden's Tale environment for its residents. But that has not been enough. Trump remains...
