Trump campaigned on his deal making skills. "It's what I do." What deals has Trump made since becoming president?

Here's a deal Donny appears to be making while in the oval office, it could easily be considered a bribe of the U.S. Presidency by China and a felony crime that violates the emoluments clause of our constitution, but never the less I think it qualifies as a 'deal':

China $500 Million -------> Indonesia Project -------> Trump Org Profits

"IS CHINA STRAIGHT-UP BRIBING DONALD TRUMP?"

When Donald Trump announced on Sunday night that he was riding to the rescue of Chinese electronics maker ZTE, more than a few people, including those who work for him, were shocked. For one thing, Trump has long-claimed that China “is raping us” through unfair trade practices, and stealing American jobs. For another, the U.S. and Beijing are currently locked in tense negotiations to avoid a protracted trade war, thanks to the president’s decision to slap Chinese imports with a vast array of tariffs. For yet another, just a month prior, Trump’s own Commerce Department had banned shipments of American technology to ZTE for seven years, saying that the company violated American sanctions against countries including Iran and North Korea and lied about punishing employees for doing so. As a result, ZTE halted major operating activities—an outcome you’d have expected to please the president, considering he’d just imposed aluminum and steel tariffs on “national security” grounds, and ZTE was threatening national security. So it was a bit odd to see Trump pull a complete 180, suddenly insisting that the company and its 75,000 Chinese jobs must be saved, though to be fair, tweeting “Look, China just pumped $500 million into a Trump Organization project so I had to do them a solid” might not have gone over so well."

Yes, I'm aware of certain "deals" that benefit him or his family.  Are there any that have benefited our our country or our people that and that Trump has orchestrated?

No PP, unless giving rich greedy pigs even more of our money qualifies as a 'deal':

I was supportive of Trump on trade until deals like ZTE. Any progress that has been made is without a solid foundation as China has reserved the right to void any agreements should the US apply any new tariffs. Even Bernie Sanders is talking tougher on trade than Trump is now. The media spouts off a lot about "trade wars" and creates a lot of click-bait, but in reality, it seems Trump now has a soft spot for China. Was he bribed? It sure looks like it.

        Only the beginning?

        Feb 2017

China has awarded Donald Trump a 10-year trademark for construction services in his own name, a decade after the businessman began his attempts to have the measure approved.

It is thought to be the first trademark awarded to Mr Trump’s real-estate business since he was elected.

It comes days after the US President said he would stick to the country’s “One China” policy, ending weeks of speculation he could break four decades of foreign policy by addressing Taiwan directly rather than as part of “One China”.

        Mar 2017

China has granted preliminary approval for 38 new Trump trademarks, paving the way for Donald Trump and his family to potentially develop a host of branded businesses from hotels to insurance to bodyguard and escort services, public documents show.

All but three are in the president's own name.

Dan Plane, a director at Simone IP Services, a Hong Kong intellectual property consultancy, said he had never seen so many applications approved so expeditiously.
“For all these marks to sail through so quickly and cleanly, with no similar marks, no identical marks, no issues with specifications – boy, it’s weird,” he said.

        May 2018

Ivanka Trump won China trademarks days before her father's reversal on ZTE

Ivanka Trump’s fashion and homewares business received initial approval from the Chinese government for five trademark applications days before her father announced a U-turn in policy on ZTE, a Chinese telecoms firm that has admitted breaking US sanctions on Iran and North Korea.

The five approvals, for applications made in 2017, came through on 7 May. On 13 May, Trump made the surprise announcement that he had instructed the Department of Commerce to help get ZTE “back into business”.

        May 2018

China on Sunday signed off on the 13th trademark for Ivanka Trump’s company in three months, the news service reported. China has also given the company provisional approval for another eight trademarks during the same period of time, it added.

Records viewed by the AP show that Ivanka Trump currently has at least 25 trademarks awaiting approval in China, while 36 are currently in place and eight have been granted provisional approval.

Nice breakdown of the conflicts of interest. Looks pretty good for Trump and family and even better for Xi and the PRC.

IslandBites: You've posted hardcore evidence of Donald Trump and family mega-corruption, It's nothing less than astonishing that he's still allowed in our white house but if we still have laws, he and his family of grifters will be gone very soon:

If you would like, please post a copy of it in the discussion forum that I created to document and preserve the massive and growing trove of criminal and civil evidence pending against the Trump Family

It's titled: Colossal Trove of Criminal / Civil Evidence Against Trump and Family

        Is Kim talking?

Well, I guess I don't consider an signing a tax bill that repeals the Obamacare mandate a "deal."  Do you?  Especially considering only one party voted for it.  Doesn't a deal require some sort of agreement between two or more persons or factions?

And I don't think Obamacare "ended" just because the mandate was repealed.  In fact, a quick check at healthcare.gov shows that open enrollment for 2018 just concluded.  I know people who still have insurance they obtained through the Affordable Care Act, so no, Obamacare hasn't "ended."

However, all that is beside the point.  The question is about what deals Trump has made since becoming president.

Yes, Kim is talking, but has a deal been made yet?  It will be interesting to see if he can come up with a deal that results in de-nuclearization of North Korea.  That would be a real feat.

He ended the Iran deal.  Has he replaced it with another deal?  Not that I can find via Google. He pulled us out of the Paris Accord.  No deal there.

And he walked out of G7 without a deal.  So, what other deals have their been?  I'm willing to give credit where it is due.

You're getting there.  He couldn't end the ACA as he wanted, but got an agreement to get rid of the worst of it (it's called a "deal").

He's got them talking, and is the first president in history to meet with NK ruling family - a pretty big deal in and of itself.

Want to bet that he doesn't get some concessions on tariffs of American goods?  All it takes is a single one to make a "deal"...

Want to bet that he won't get some of "the wall"?  You don't think a deal will be made to get at least a single foot of it, whether electronic, physical, or organic?

I'm no fan of Trump, but I try to look at each issue individually and will give him credit for getting to the table with Kim. Hopefully we'll see some substantial results from the summit. It's definitely a welcome change of pace from the war drums.

As I suspected, nobody could conjure even the resemblance of a 'deal' tha benefits the USA established by the most mega corrupt, mentally unstable liar ever to live in the oval office:

I hope wilderness understands by Spanky Trump 'ending the ACA' as he so desperately wanted to, it would have ended health insurance for over 20 million Americans while his wife I'm sure enjoyed the financial security of health insurance during her recent hospital stay:

Let's pray Mr. Trump is removed ASAP:

Here are six points turnoutpac.org is using to call for Trump's impeachment:

                POINT ONE:
Trump’s extensive conflicts of interests expressly violate the Emoluments Clause in Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

                POINT TWO:
Trump’s “Muslim Ban” directly violates the 1st Amendment of the Constitution protecting freedom of religion.

                POINT THREE:
Trump also violated the 1st Amendment by attacking the free press, repeatedly labeling them as “enemies of America.”

                POINT FOUR:
There is growing evidence that Trump and his campaign worked with an enemy power to illegally steal the 2016 Election.

                POINT FIVE:
Political experts say there is legal precedent to consider Trump’s response to Charlottesville as a violation “of the basic principles of government.” That would make Trump guilty of committing “high crimes and misdemeanors” -- another impeachable offense.

                POINT SIX:
LIVE on NBC to Lester Holt, Trump openly admitted to Obstructing Justice in the Mueller Probe by firing Jim Comey.

Well  , one thing about impeachment ,  You guys will continue seeking any and all reasons as long as the "dream"  is there , Now , do yourself a favor and go back through your history and study the history of  US presidential  impeachments . Even Trump has stated , he could literally commit murder in the White House and there's not much anyone could do ,  why ?   Because he is the ultimate head of all law enforcement in the country, thus protected from all petty "politically " inspired impeachment proceedings .   But good luck with your numbered points.

Advice ," Get on the train " and join in with the incredible  success of Trump's incredible winning streak . Now THAT is real ,......compared to your pretty lame numbered points above.

Just providing information with a cited source. I didn't mention anything about personally seeking impeachment. I wouldn't be surprised by any high-ranking politician getting away with murder as even the lower-level law enforcement seems to do that with relative ease. That being said, there are some serious conflicts of interest and deals being made that seem to benefit the Trump family over and above the American people (though these issues need to be looked at in the broader sense for all politicians present and future and not become solely Trump issues). I don't buy into divisive left-right tactics and try to look at every issue individually. Note that I did give Trump credit for meeting with Kim Jong Un above. There are plenty of issues I disagree with Trump on, but I'm not sure impeachment is the most productive way to go forward either.

It's a solid 'impeachment list' Eastward but Mr. Trump's obvious 'Mental Incompetence', his inability to think straight and destructive proclivity toward uncontrollable anger fits and tizzy tantrums and of course maniacally engaging in nuclear war brinkmanship should also be included:

If the 'electoral college' executed their job faithfully and honestly, Mr. Trump would have been immediately rejected from assuming the presidency without reservation nor hesitation but unfortunately for America, that didn't happen:

I would support a thorough set of psychological tests for presidential candidates. I've had to take psychological employment tests for positions that were admittedly less important than the role of POTUS.

Maybe we should talk about all of the politicians that profit from public office. How do our public servants enter congress with maybe one or two hundred  thousand dollars in the bank leave as multi millionaires? Should we visit the major conflict of the CGI or the Clinton foundation ?Diane Fienstein steering insider information to her investor husband. Be un biased now.
Thank you  Eastward for admitting that to disagree is fine but impeaching because your a sore loser is another matter

The way in which politicians profit from public office is a major problem and also an extremely difficult one to overcome. Stricter laws are required but we also depend on the very people that are profiting to pass them. Leaders than can see far beyond their own personal gain are in short order these days. The public needs to set the bar higher and hold representatives accountable.
