   Why do people look to the government to provide things that THEY CAN DO THEMSELVES?  Why do people EXPECT the government to give them a COMFORTABLE lifestyle?  What makes people maintain that the government ought to provide support?

      Because the easy chair and TV calls out much louder than getting up and going to a job you don't like at the ungodly hour of 7AM.

      I could write a book on this subject. I think it goes back to the concept of survival of the fittest. Over time I feel many Americans have failed to thrive. And many have a hard time surviving financially, as well as emotionally.   I am not at all going to point blame. I will let anyone reading my blurb come to some form of conclusion on that matter.
      
      In the past few generations, many millions of people have grown up in a bubble. A bubble that we just as parents just did not comprehend: It left many of our off-springs aware that you should try to work hard, but if you don't feel like it emotionally, you just don't need to. Many Americans don’t have the tools necessary to survive as the fittest in life without lots of assistance.
      
      I agree with Wilderness -- that easy chair and TV is so much more satisfying than a work-a-day job. 
      
      Hey, let the rich send me some cash --- I just deserve it.

         There are poor people who are challenged whether physically or developmentally, they SHOULD be HELPED.  However, there are poor people who are intellectually & otherwise abled who made unintelligent choices.  They should either SWIM or sink.  Why should we help abled bodied Americans?  People have choices in life- either select CONSTRUCTIVE or DESTRUCTIVE choices.  Poor people believe in doing AS THEY PLEASE.  They DON'T STRATEGIZE for their future.  They live AT THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR &  view such bottom living as a lifestyle.
         
         For example, there is an impoverished or poor couple.  They intend to have children & they can't take care of themselves.  It is a very selfish act for them to have children when they CAN'T take care of themselves.  IT IS WHAT THEY WANT, THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL & SOCIOECONOMIC FUTURE.  Poor people, on average, are immature & selfish (toxic kind)-they ACT first & think, if ever, later.  These are people who must have OUTSIDE resources whether charity, relatives' support, &/or the government to help such poor people live comfortably.  Again for the nth time, people are POOR in America because THEY WANT TO BE, nothing more, nothing less.

      That's THE PROBLEM-the poor have become a PARASITIC class because of the Democratic Party.   Because of the Democratic Party, the poor have become lazy & entitled.  The WORST thing one can do is to HELP the poor.  When the poor had no outside help, they either pulled themselves by their bootstraps or DID WITHOUT.   When the poor didn't receive any help, they realized that being poor were no joke & they pulled themselves out of poverty.  Now that the poor is receiving help, they are MORE COMFORTABLE being poor, knowing that the government is easing their burden.  As a result, they have LOST ANY INCENTIVE to improve themselves.
      
      The poor are analogous to D students in school.  The poor have an instinctive mindset & purview.  They believe in doing what they want although it is self-destructive to themselves, not to mention their families.  The poor DON'T care.     The poor revel in the poverty culture.  The poor are distrustful & disdainful of those who are more socioeconomic affluent than they are.  The poor are toxic & have the crab in the barrel mentality.   The poor are people to avoid as they don't wish to elevate themselves one iota.   When will people see this?

         Yeah, all these Democratic states with those high percent of the population using federal assistance. 
         
         In terms of states and food stamps, California has the highest numbers of people that rely on them with 3.9 million.  #2 and #3 are Texas (3.3 million) and Florida (2.7 million).
