Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) is a refugee of Somalia. She and others were rescued from a refugee camp in Kenya, by the United States of America!
This tweet of hers...follows a long line of messaging of what she truly thinks about the U.S.A.!!
I understand that she and other members of 'the squad' are popular and have a large following here in the States.
My question:
Is she (and this particular mindset) the greatest threat to our Country or is Marxist-breathed/ Marxist-embraced Critical Race Theory the greater threat?
How dare her ---And this woman sits in our Congress, And some feel this nut job represents America. Not me! Hopefully, she keeps her mouth going, and she can be removed "The United States Constitution (Article I, Section 5, Clause 2) provides that "Each House [of Congress] may determine the Rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member."
She needs to be expelled.
She dares Sharlee and what's worse, she feels comfortable daring!! Why does she feel so comfortable putting out such a statement!?!
I agree she needs to be expelled immediately, she is an enemy of the United States of America!
Why does she feel comfortable making a statement that out and out put America in with groups of terrorists such as the Taliban, and Hamas? And adds Israel as one of our valued allies. Equating the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban is as offensive as it is misguided in my opinion.
In my view, she truly believes what she said. Factually, she has provided us with several antisemitic statements in the short time in Washington. As well as making the claim In on the floor in Congress that El Salvadorian troops that had been trained by the US military committed crimes against citizens, and implied America would look the other way to serve our own interests. ( Cspan Source https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InGCmxCjaWE
IMO, her beliefs, her attitude, her mindset demonstrates she does not hold the same values as MOST Americans. Not sure why she is being tolerated in Congress? However, I find her more disgusting than a threat. I find CRT more of a threat than Omar. in my view, she is her own worst enemy.
I don't care what color she is or her religion, she is not fit for our Congress... Her values are anti-American in my book.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPuOif50fhE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqhStfe3MtE&t=41s
I don't hate this woman, but I sure the hell dislike her attitude, her mindset, and her ideologies. So blessed to be an American where I can share my thoughts...
She was voted in by the Somalians who we allowed to immigrate to the country.
"In the United States, Minnesota is home to the largest Somali community, with the majority residing in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area (Hennepin and Ramsey counties), as well as St. Cloud and Rochester 17." copied
"Representative (Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party-MN 5th District) since 2019."
Hi Kathryn, that's why I fear she, with community support, is a great threat, because they aren't assimilating, because she does display hateful rhetoric regularly.
But, moreso than CRT? I just don't know.
I agree Sharlee, she has proven time and time again, that she has no loyalty to this Country. She is an activist above all else.
I really can't answer my own question of which is the greater threat. I would choose CRT because of the long term harm it does, but, Ilhan (and her compadres, aka:the squad) have a following, which makes them equally harmful. {shrug}
I also feel CRT due to the long-term psychological effects it could have on our youth.
CTR curriculum varies and has been tweaked over some 40 years. Some forms of CRT curriculum teach that “white people are inherently privileged, while Black and other people of color are inherently oppressed and victimized t through life, and that “achieving racial justice as well as equality between racial groups requires discriminating against people based on their whiteness. Some going so far as to make the claim “The United States was founded on racism.”
In my view, much of the current debate appears to spring from different forms of the curriculum. Giving rise to fear among critics that students, especially white students—will be unduly exposed to damaging or self-demoralizing ideas.
IMO it also opens the door to teachers to add their own bias. I feel children grow up with enough stressors, and don't need to have race theory added to education. I wish more citizens would realize how poorly the USA scores in regards to education, and worry more about that.
Amen....this was my focus on a recent discussion here on 'Climate Change'. Our poor kids are already made to feel guilty for daring to walk upon this earth and now on top of that...made to feel guilty for the skin they are in. Such abuse should not be tolerated.....and YES it is child abuse!!!
I do know CRT is in some schools across the country. However, the curriculum is tweaked to fit what the individual school boards want to teach. It is up to a school board to finalize what is taught. It would appear many school boards won't even entertain the CRT curriculum, due to parent's voices being heard above the rhetoric.
Now, the Federal Gov could pull weight in regards to cutting bits of cash they give to public schools if the CRT is not taught.
Sharlee, I came across this article earlier today. Sums it all up pretty well, I'd say.....
https://www.dailywire.com/news/professo … -of-living
I can't thank you enough for sharing this article, very poignant. I fully agree with this young man's belief --- so many Americans were not and are not a part of these despicable acts that came with slavery. Most of our parents were refugees from foreign countries, whose came to America to escape oppression and persecution. Myself, I in no respect feel responsible for slavery or do I feel because I am white I need to make amends for slavery.
My ancestry is Scottish ... well, my grandfather was mostly German. Well, my dad was mostly Irish and German. One grandmother was Irish on my Dad's side and on my mom's side, pure English. My brothers and I are Scottish, German, English and Irish. Total white mutts. We are of the baby boomer generation. We loved everyone because that's what the 60's and 70's were all about.
For some reason we have to be reminded of s l a v e r y on June 19th.
I think its disgusting and gross. Its really abuse.
Its Baby Boomer abuse.
All You Need is Love and this ain't it.
Thanks for nothing.
Agreed! All you need is love.

... justice for crimes against humanity.
What are the crimes, specifically, I wonder
The crime of betraying her allegiance to the U.S. (if she ever had any allegiance to begin with) with her constant anti-America rhetoric and now she has outright accused the U.S. of atrocities,
and has included the U.S. in the same category as Hamas and the Taliban. If that's not treasonous, nothing is.
Of course she does have a (D) beside her name, so naturally she will get a pass. Which leads me to another question! Why is that?
This put this issue in its proper perspective. If you care to read the whole article. To really understand an issue, you have to see it from both sides. This article does just that.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics … story.html
No that article doesn't 'justify' her callous tweet. It wasn't even an acceptable explanation. Now don't try to compare her to anyone. It was her action.
"See it from both sides" PP? Do tell! You do no interpret her continual tweets, comments, speeches, etc., as anti-American?
You can send me a dozen news stories which seek to protect her and it will not change this fact; she hates this Country!
What damage has she done in her capacity as a Representative of the United States of America? What is she doing there?
What are her true motives?
While you and others give her a pass and dismiss her treasonous ways...I am convinced that she should be watched like a hawk - up and until someone, without a hidden agenda in D.C., determine that she is a threat to this Country and needs to be removed. That will be a good start!
I meant the US's crimes against humanity which is what Omar is accusing the United States (govt.) of.
She said in her tweet, "We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity."
So what crimes is she talking about, in all actuality.
Wouldn't her actual viewpoint be good/interesting to know?
Okay, got it Kathryn -
Great insight, good questions!
Can we get to "her actual viewpoint", without being targeted as haters? Is that still something that can happen here in these United States? Because it seems to me that when you dare to question such things, as I have done here, the first instinct for SOME is to automatically target me, point fingers at me, accuse me...rather than questioning or caring why Ilhan tweets the things she tweets and says the things she says against America.
Yet, America stands for justice.
https://twitter.com/secblinken/status/1 … 7630962694
https://twitter.com/hashtag/StandWithHo … htag_click
Back to my initial question - in defending the actions of Ilhan, you are suggesting that CRT is the greater threat, correct?
"Critical race theory (CRT) is a movement that challenges
the ability of conventional legal strategies
to deliver social and economic justice
and specifically calls for legal approaches that take into consideration
race
as a * nexus of American life."
* nexus n. pl: nex·us·es or: nexus [-səs, -süs] [Latin, bond, tie, from nectere to bind] : a connection or link between things, persons, or events esp. that is or is part of a chain of causation.
- what is the danger of critical race theory?
- the fact that it is a THEORY? !
"Omar’s tweet stemmed from a question she asked Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing Monday about where victims of attacks by the Israeli or Afghan governments can go for justice.
“We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity,” she tweeted with a video of her question to Blinken.
“We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.”
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics … story.html
So what are they?
Omar is concerned about "the victims of attacks
by the
Israeli or Afghan governments."
Basically, she is against Israel, our ally.
It seems to me the two issues of this thread are separate,
or are they?
The first issue is really about whether or not we should back Israel, a democracy.
The second is about the effect of racism on public life.
if we did not back Israel and we all started being against the jewish people, well, that seems like racism.
Is Omar promoting racism while she is against it?
wondering
How dare her!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7ErFCqCXcg
I mean, him.
She is right. Btw, he was too (about his last sentence).
Btw, in case any of you want to know what she was talking about.
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archi … id/619196/
And her clarification. (That does not matter, cause she's a muslim, and as so she must hate the US. )
"On Monday, I asked Secretary of State Antony Blinken about ongoing International Criminal Court investigations.
"To be clear: the conversation was about accountability for specific incidents regarding those ICC cases, not a moral comparison between Hamas and the Taliban and the U.S. and Israel.
"I was in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems."

Here is your tweet . . . "Forget it, ab and Sharlee are Biden haters."
Do you get it now?
No context is needed . . . You are judge, jury, and executioner the same as she was in her tweet. Ah, the danger of tweets!!!!
Deflect much?
A portion of an old Trump interview and an anti-Israel article, is your idea of making some case for Ilhan?
I'm just left with more questions than answers, per usual with this crowd - why do you two, PP and IB work so hard to protect and defend a woman who hates America?
I only brought up Biden, in order to put my question in the proper context, I don't hate him and have never once implied such a thing and I did not mention Ilhan's religion, that's all on you two birds of a feather.
When the left brings out the ICC, it's important to realize it is an anti-United States and Israel organization.
If the ICC is so interested in war crimes, where are they with the war of aggression waged on Ukraine by Russia? There is volumes of documented war crimes committed by Russia.
If they want to prosecute war crimes, where are they with state sponsored terrorism by Iran? No, the United States takes out one of the biggest terrorists, an Iranian general, and the ICC goes after the United States.
The ICC is something that needs to be ignored. The United States should not be part of an organization that supports terrorism and terrorists. Again, the left is proving their anti-United States bias.
.. and why does she hate America? Is there something wrong with freedom?
O.K. I want to get four things straight here. First ab, your title is a loaded question "Biden speaks often of 'greatest threats'. Is it llhan Omar or CRT?"
No, the answer is NO, it's neither one of them. It's domestic terrorism caused by Trump. You see, you only give two choices of which neither are in the proper context.
Second, put yourself in the place of the Arab Palestinians who have been made refugees in their own country for decades by Israel pushing down their houses and colonizing their territories. How would you like your neighbor to push down your house and build theirs right over your property?
Third, there is plenty of context in these forums about you, Sharlee and others making derogatory remarks about Biden. Yes, I do the same about Trump, but I'm not afraid to say I hate him. Just fess up to it, it will make you feel better.
Fourth, Critical Race Theory is not a threat to Biden, but it is a threat to white superiority groups because it uncovers how badly those groups have treated others who do not have the same color of skin as theirs.
If our greatest threat is "domestic terrorism caused by Trump" then we're in good shape with no problems at all, for Trump "caused" no domestic terrorism. We have plenty of violence, destruction and death but it was not and is not caused by Donald Trump no matter how many times you filter it through your hatred and repeat it.
Wilderness: So the paramilitary troops and Qanon who attacked the Capitol and wanted to kill Pelosi and Pence were not domestic terrorists and never heard Trump's mantra of "the election was rigged and stolen from me."
They just simply came up with the idea on their own? And they are no longer a threat to this nation that Trump, Fox, and MAGA news have divided into an us and them mentality?
LOL There were no "paramilitary troops" at the Capital riot, and Trump did not instigate it in any case. Making up "facts" to fit what you want others to believe and applying funny labels does not change truth. It takes more than idiots taking selfies, swinging from wall ornamentation and sitting with their feet on desks to have a "paramilitary troop brigade".
How many "paramilitary troops" have you seen "armed" only with baseball bats, police shields and fire extinguishers? Not a single gun was found or confiscated from inside the capital - that doesn't sound very military to me, "para" or not.
Were the rioters all summer long in Portland or Seattle "paramilitary troops" as well, or do they get a pass because you can't tie them to Trump? Maybe if you claim Trump told them to riot you can get people to believe that one, too?
Trump didn't divide the nation, either. We have one half that thinks "This guy is the real deal, not just another fake politician, lying to us at every opportunity, building their power base and pocketbook while using American to fund the world". And the other half thinking "Trump is a liar, thief and downright evil...and anyone that doesn't agree with me, climbing on the "demonize Trump!" bandwagon is vile and evil, too! I'll go get in their face and disrupt their day!" You tell me which group is "dividing the nation". Hint: it isn't the ex-president.
Hear, hear!
PeoplePower, while you are digesting all of this, what do you know about the one person killed on the day that you and others obsess over, while ignoring ALL other events of the year before and since?
Her name is {was} Ashli Babbitt, she was a Veteran, she was unarmed and she was the only one shot and she was the only one killed in the Capitol Building that day.
What of her?
Does her life matter?
Who killed her and why?
Do you have any insider information about her that you can share with all of us?
IslandBites, you are always ready with information, what do you know?

You could have just stated that you don't know PP.
There's plenty of speculation already out there.
Does her life matter?
Wilderness: Seeing is believing. Trump divided the nation from the very first days in office. What do you think the MSM is fake news and the MAGA and Fox real news are all about?. How about his rallies, tweets, and over 10,000 lies and misinformation? I suppose that was all designed to unite the country. Every chance he got, he divided this country and we are still divided. He has taken over congress where his followers still pay allegiance to him, including Mitch McConnell.
https://youtu.be/pPpMjp4ksnE
https://www.npr.org/sections/insurrecti … capitol-si
Sorry, PP, but one person cannot divide the 320,000,000 from themselves. Only masses of people can do that.
They can do it by claiming that there was an "insurrection" at the capital, carried out by a paramilitary group headed by Trump - all it takes is a few to believe it and blame everyone else for not stopping it. They can do it by claiming that using the cages Obama built and Biden is using for the same purpose that Trump did...but without admitting he followed the law while others did not when they used those same cages. They can do it by using loaded words whenever they speak of Trump and never, ever giving the whole story.
Lots of ways to divide the people, but it cannot be done by one person. It takes tens or hundreds of thousands to accomplish that. You and those like you, spreading hate and lies about Trump are doing far, far more to divide than Trump ever did.
Claiming that Trump divided the nation is like saying Lincoln created the confederacy and divided the nation back then. Our nation was, and is, already dividing - it is the reactions of people that do it, not the presence of a single individual.
Such misuse of words, do you work for CNN or MSNBC in their creation of falsehoods and fabrications department?
paramilitary - definition - a group of civilians organized in a military fashion (especially to operate in place of or to assist regular army troops).
domestic terrorist - definition - a person who commits terrorist acts in their own country against their fellow citizens.
In actuality, what we had were people disaffected, dissatisfied, and distrustful of their government, Congress in particular, and a suspect election.
I am sure there were some less than mentally stable individuals in the crowd, and I am sure there were some Antifa antagonists, but 90% of that mob were just average Americans agitated with a corrupt government.
Trump had at least 75 million supporters, despite a 5 year media barrage against him and all the Social Media platforms shutting him down (Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
I guess 75 million or more Americans are Paramilitary Troops & Domestic Terrorists, according to your perspectives and beliefs. Most of the people there were average citizens, your teachers, nurses, police, etc.
Funny how that works, they weren't looting stores or rioting in the streets, they weren't attacking innocent people walking down the streets or pulling them out of cars. Like we had seen for many months, in many cities, leading up to the election. ... They were there protesting their government, a government they have lost faith in, lost trust in, and most especially believe no longer is looking out for their best interests, or the best interests of their Nation.
You have made yourself quite clear PP, you have no interest in answering my question.
There is nothing loaded about it, you just do not like my question. Both are huge concerns and the majority of people do not dismiss the seriousness of both, as eagerly as you!
The place which needs to "get things straight", is in your head....not in my question.
- what is a "white superiority group?"
- and how have they treat others of a different skin color?
specifically, speaking.
Not only is your statement libelous, it is also a personal attack. You need to stop. Your words are defamatory and as such, they are highly prejudicial and completely lacking in merit.
Most people are too nice to report you, but rest assured, I will.
Perhaps it's the "nice" people that report personal attacks (and that certainly was!) in an effort to maintain a modicum of civility in the forums.
It really is telling, when a topic which concerns all of America, can’t move forward, without the questioner being personally attacked. Would be participants in the discussion are put in a position to point out the obvious, rather than add to the discussion. It becomes a wild goose chase. Meantime, the enemies/the haters of this Country....like that just fine.
Ab: Here is your question:
“Biden speaks often of 'greatest threats'. Is it llhan Omar or CRT?”
Your question gives two choices, Illhan Omar or CRT. It is neither one of those. By definition it is a multiple choice loaded question.
The truth is Biden’s greatest threat is domestic terrorism as was just presented on CNN by Attorney General Merrick Garland. I switched to Fox to see if they were carrying it and they were not. It was probably one of the most important message we have had in this country since 9/11.
Your question is designed to poke fun and criticize Biden, Omar and CRT. That is what you are expecting from your followers. The fact that I questioned your reasoning makes you come up with this statement.
"ab words: “I'm just left with more questions than answers, per usual with this crowd - why do you two, PP and IB work so hard to protect and defend a woman who hates America?”
Do you have proof she hates America? She is a Somalian Muslim Refugee who is a Citizen of the United States of America and a Congress Woman who has experienced atrocities that I hope you will never have to experience.
So now not only have you stated that Omar hates America, you are stating by implication that I'm the enemy and I hate America as well. I have news for you. I love America as much as you do.
I helped protect this country against Soviet bomber invasion during the cold war. What did you do? I'm just not willing to play your game of conflating Biden with Omar and CRT and you are implying that I hate America because I'm not in agreement with you.
According to Savydating, that is defamatory and libelous. I’m sorry I disappoint you by not poking fun at Biden along with the rest of Biden dislikers...or is that to strong a word for you and Savydating?
The only games being played are by you.
You are welcome to move along, no one is detaining you.
Biden is exactly that at this stage in his life and lack of mental acuity.
To pretend otherwise is no better than someone who refused to admit that Trump was an abrasive, arrogant, self aggrandizing individual who was exceptionally disrespectful to anyone who crossed him.
However despite all his faults, Trump was far sharper mentally, and far more capable a Commander and President than the shadow of a man that Biden is.
This was on full display for the whole world to see at the G-7 meeting, where world leaders spent the time laughing at his gaffs and correcting his mistakes.
Careful, there are many who would say that shoe fits you quite nicely.
The article does not justify her action. She clearly chose her words with intent for a purpose! She knew who would read it.
Copied:
The International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression.
"... Arab Palestinians who have been made refugees in their own country for decades by Israel pushing down their houses and colonizing their territories."
This is the can of worms:
TO open or NOT TO open!
What does President Biden consider as great, greater and greatest of threats?
Do you think it is the Republicans and Conservatives gaining in strength and speed?
(and even possibly Democrats joining in.)
"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." Abraham Lincoln
Biden will never mention the border which is a a threat on many levels
