Now, LOL, Trump is Promising low gas prices.
Trump promises dirt-cheap gas prices. That may require a global recession

Question - why does Trump want a Global Recession??

Huh!  Much like Harris promising to reduce grocery prices, rents, etc. while providing a "living wage" for anyone working.  Presumably a hour a week: I doubt even she would give that much for 15 minutes work.

Question: - why does Harris promise what everyone, including her, knows she cannot provide?  Even though it produce a Global Recession, she cannot provide it.  Is she just another liar, or just stupid, as in a literal idiot?

MyEso, this thread is up to 3 years. Thanks for updating it so far.                                But you as a human being has not give Donald Trump' the benefit of the doubt, in certain of the doubtful cases. Nor have you give him enough breathing space when he got entangled. You're always on his neck, shoklddr, back, when for instance, the Supreme Court of the USA heard and upheld his appeal.

You do realize, don't you, that:

                    1. Trump have found guilty by two juries and one judge - yet you defend him.

                    2. Do you you know who Hitler is? Are you aware of what he had caused to be done? Do you know no judge ever found him guilty of anything connected with WW II? Do you consider him a criminal.

How about Al Capone, Putin, Maduro, Xi, Un, the leaders in Iran, and the list goes on?

Now, if you say YES, you HONESTLY do not consider any of them criminals, then I can accept that as your POV

Your "deemed innocent" argument only applies to criminal court, not to anything else.

Even in your denial you admit a person can be a criminal without having been convicted of anything.

Nevertheless, here is the difference between you and I.  If we both observe the same boy walk through a school shooting and killing everybody in sight then I deem him a criminal while YOU say you would not, even though you saw it with your own eyes.

I can't ask Apollonius anything, he is dead, if he ever existed.

Mie57:  I don't know how you vote in Nigeria, but in our country you choose one side or the other based on your values and belief system for the candidate you are going to vote for.

There is no benefit of the doubt as you said. If there was, a decision would be very difficult to make. Whether you like it or not, the facts are that Trump is a criminal and sexual predator by his owning doing. We are not in court as lawyers as you are trying to be.  They is no benefit of  doubt with Trump.

Trump is very rich and has the best lawyers money can buy.  The only reason is he is not in jail is because our judicial system allows appeals and he uses them to delay his trials. I

n other words, he games the system.  If one steals a loaf of bread and does not have enough money to game the system, they will be tried and go to jail. That is is an exaggeration, but it makes my point.

Trump, the indefatigable liar, FINALLY tells the TRUTH - HE LOST THE 2020 ELECTION.

"Former President Donald Trump's recent acknowledgment that he lost the 2020 election has rattled prominent far-right figures, with some saying they will lead a campaign to keep him from being elected in 2024.

At least three times in recent weeks Trump, the 2024 Republican party nominee, has acknowledged that he lost in 2020 "by a whisker."

"He beat us by a whisker. It was a terrible thing," Trump said of President Joe Biden during a 45 minute interview Aug. 4 with podcaster Lex Fridman. He used similar language at an Aug. 30 Moms for Liberty summit and an Aug. 23 press event at the Southern border."

    That has ramifications:

    1. It proves his years long campaign to successfully convince his followers that his election denial was nothing more than a CON to get them to do what he wants.  Don't you feel USED now?

    2. Jan 6 shouldn't have happened since it was the result of Trump's Big Lie. Four Trump supporters and several cops died for nothing more than a lie.

    3. This provides a smoking gun in the insurrection prosecution by Jack Smith of Donald Trump.

SO, what say you die-hard Trump fanatics now, eh?  Do you feel like fools?

        Big deal for some.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Special counsel Jack Smith filed a new indictment Tuesday against Donald Trump over his efforts to undo the 2020 presidential election that keeps the same criminal charges but narrows the allegations against him following a Supreme Court opinion that conferred broad immunity on former presidents.

The new indictment removes a section of the indictment that had accused Trump of trying to use the law enforcement powers of the Justice Department to overturn his election loss, an area of conduct for which the Supreme Court, in a 6-3 opinion last month, said that Trump was absolutely immune from prosecution.

The stripped-down criminal case represents a first effort by prosecutors to comply with a Supreme Court opinion that made all but certain the Republican presidential nominee won’t face trial before the November election in the case alleging he tried to thwart the peaceful transfer of power.

It comes days before prosecutors and defense lawyers are expected to tell the judge overseeing the case how they want to proceed in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling, which said presidents are presumptively immune from prosecution for official White House acts. The high court sent the case back to U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who now must analyze which allegations in the indictment were unofficial actions — or those taken in Trump’s private capacity — that can proceed to trial."

He is not guilty, so its actually no big deal.

        Yes, "He" is Cheney.
The Council of Foreign Relations wants to eradicate the southern and northern borders of the US and have one currency for all three countries:
Mexico, US and Canada. Anyway, I heard that years ago. Maybe they gave up on that plan by now.
Of course, many do not agree that Trump is guilty of J6 insurrection.

Compared this scenario with other Rep candidates, who spit fire, more deadly than the fire emitted by the Airforce 'Spit Fire' craft. Or biden, Kamala, or late MCain.                                        Seriously, he puts every question into the hands of the American people to answer. That's a gentlemanly move in the polity.

Do you have some quotes to prove the CFR wants to eliminate our borders as a practical matter?  I seriously doubt that is the case.

I would agree that many, in fact a lot, of people don't agree that Trump caused the insurrection. But, they all belong to one group, MAGA cult. (with a very few outliers like Pence who may be saying that for political reasons.)

The majority of Americans blame Trump because they saw it with their own eyes and heard it with their own ears.

Trump already failed once in the job of protecting the country.  In 2019, he was pulling our CDC scientists out of China in what he called a cost-cutting move.  Their job, to prevent endemics and pandemics.  He pared the staff down from 47 to 14.

By the end of the year, a deadly pandemic took hold in that country and then spread worldwide, costing nations trillions.

So, the claim that Trump has the ability to protect the country is not rooted in recent history.  In fact, his irresponsible actions likely led directly to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

"Trump warned he will jail election officials he considers cheats; is complaining Pennsylvania’s voting is a fraud; vowed to pardon January 6 rioters; railed against women who accused him of sexual misconduct; and spent hours in recent days on sometimes incoherent rants that raised questions about his state of mind."

Yup, she did well, and she came across in a manner that will garner her any of the undecided women's votes that are out there.

This is definitely what I expected it to be, more than any other issue that is being spoken of, a large percentage of women will vote for her because she is a woman and because of Abortion now being a top issue.

Over 70% of Americans believe some form of abortion should be legal and only 10% believe there should be no abortion at all.

Harris is not Hillary... Hillary was condescending, insulting, arrogant, and wanted the war that Biden has brought against Russia.  Many women didn't like her for a variety of reasons and Abortion was not really an issue, the country felt like the matter was resolved.

Kicking it back to the States was not the same as making it illegal, but it has been interpreted in that way by many.  It lends credibility to the other threats Democrats say Trump poses.

We are in the middle of multiple wars and transforming America into more of a Big Brother state beholden to the International corporate elite.  They are not going to let Trump and the discontented rabble supporting him do any more harm to their efforts than occurred due to his first (and only) term.

The only bump in the road now to a Harris victory is a Trump assassination, that would catapult Vance into the Presidency I believe, the backlash to Trump being assassinated combined with the massive distrust many Americans feel for their government in general these days would motivate many who dislike Trump, but don't really believe in Harris, vote for Vance who is a real true-blue American success story and who can articulate a solid message extremely well.

All the Trump supporters would vote for him, and all the people with misgivings about what is going on in America today would get behind him.

The reason Roe was passed was exactly because the religious right in many  states took the option away from their people. The Court Rightly decided that ALL women in America should be treated equally and not be subject to religious persecution.

Unless you consider someone being shot at an assassination attempt, e.g. someone who doesn't care about you personally sends a bullet at you that nicks your ear is an assassination attempt on your life, the Trump shooting was not an assassination attempt.

They have found that the shooter did not shoot a Trump because he didn't like the guy (they probably still don't know whether he did or didn't), he shot at him because he was a popular figure that was holding a large gathering close to where the shooter lived.  Remember, he researched Biden's schedule as well. It just happened that Trump was closer.

That is one disadvantage of not listening to real news as opposed to podcasts or YouTube.

"But the emerging profile of Crooks nearly a week after the shooting has left authorities puzzled about a motive for his assault and has had investigators speculating that his intentions may have been less politically motivated and more about attacking the highest-profile target near him."

That was a very good report on the actions that he took that were recorded prior to the shooting, a variety of angles, a good timeline.

But nothing at all... no evidence that he targeted other politicians or had plans on attempting to kill anyone else.  They mentioned it last second of that report, with no evidence to back it up.

I do appreciate the clarification they gave about his explosives, perhaps he had plans for if he escaped, who know?

The point is, Trump wasn't the target, it seems, it was some figure where he could make a splash by killing them.  It could have been Biden, it could have been Harris, it could have been Taylor Swift; it doesn't seem he cared so long as they were popular and close by.

Best quote I heard on the debate after the moderators ask a question to Harris about immigration and she mentions crowd sizes in her response.  Donald Trump spends most of the time in his response ignoring the immigration question to talk about his crowd sizes:

'She was like Bugs Bunny draws a tunnel on a side of a brick wall, and she moves the road over, and he's like "I gotta follow the road." '

He was so easily manipulated and that really showed to the American people last night.

I don't think people tuned in to judge Trump... they tuned in to judge Harris.

She did fine on her own, Sharlee noted something that others may catch on to as well... ABC effectively did more to hurt a strong Harris performance than help.

That aside, if they keep her away from interviews that turn into disasters and they keep Trump alive, this is a done deal.

Hide her away for the next 40 days as much as possible that is the best way to handle things from here on out... if they want the win.

Seriously, I think she will be declared the winner of this debate.  I might be off by one or two, but I don't recall Trump offering a single plan to help middle class people; Harris offered five or six specific plans.

Harris "probably" lied a couple of times, Trump lied about 95% of the time.  And his lies got more fantastical the madder he got.  She had a lot of substance while he had virtually none.

It was embarrassing watching him. The only good thing I can say about him is he kept his energy up for the whole 90 minutes.

And 63% or 67% (I can't remember which) of Americans thought so as well in a snap poll of Debate Watchers whose stratification leaned somewhat to the right by about 4 points.  That means even some MAGA supporters thought Trump lost.

Actually, I think many people tuned in to see how an old Trump would fare against someone tougher than Biden.  And he got baited and led exactly where she wanted him to be.  He was easily manipulated by her.  It validated much of what his former cabinet and generals had been saying - that he is more of a threat because of his vulnerabilities.  Because, according to Trump, she is very weak.  Well, if someone he perceives to be that weak can make him look that bad, then what will someone more savvy be able to do to him, and by extension, the country.

What?  Man, you must be living in Ozland.   Because of Biden & Harris, there is a massive influx of immigrants which causing crime waves.  There are articles indicating that people have been assaulted or worse because of the migrant population.   Migrants are terrorizing neighborhoods which causes people to be fearful.  There are those who DON'T want migrants in their neighborhoods. Biden & Harris have opened the borders, reversing what Trump has done regarding the borders.  There were no problems with borders when Trump was president.

When Trump was president, there was no inflation.   Now, that Biddy & Happiness Galore came into office, inflation is beyond astronomical.   Prices on food & other essential has skyrocketed.   It is nice living in Fantasyland but reality is far different than Fantasyland where most people live.   Biddy & Happiness could care less about the plight of American people.  They aren't for the middle class at all.  They are for the wealthy.  They care more for migrants than they do for Americans.

Trump cared about core issues while Biddy & Happiness Galore cared about inane social issues.  BTW, Trump didn't cause the pandemic but Biddy caused inflation.  You have to face reality & not avoid the truth.

You must be thinking of the crime wave that happened under Trump in 2019 and 2020.  Since then it has declined significantly.  Here are my statistics.  Where are yours?

              Violent Crime in 2020 - 1,313,105; in 2021 - 1,284,885; in 2022 - 1,268,880. That is a 3.3% REDUCTION in violent crime under Biden's first two years.
              https://cde.ucr.cjis.gov/LATEST/webapp/ … rime/query

      You must face FACTS.

Obama's, Trump's, and Biden's economies were very similar if you remove the Bush recession and the Pandemic.  That is just reality whether you like it or not.

Another REALITY is this: Trump LIED to you in 2017 that "They (Obama) put American energy under lock and key.”

The TRUTH: To the contrary, Obama UNLEASHED oil and gas production (not to mention making huge increases in renewable energy) such that we  "almost" attained energy independence by the end of his term.

Further, they predicted at the end of Obama's term that America will be a NET EXPORTER by 2019.

      https://apnews.com/article/588d1d2ed421 … fa2b7d573e

And that came to pass, briefly. It ended in 2020 due to the Pandemic.

In spite of what your side said about Biden putting the lid on energy production the FACT remains that we became energy independent AGAIN under Biden in 2022.

Bottom line, TRUMP was no energy mastermind, he just benefitted from what Obama started. and Biden INCREASED energy production and DID NOT decrease it.

It is interesting that your side considers the TRUTH a "rant".  That tells us a lot.  And attacking the TRUTHTELLER is a well known and studied tactic of those who have run out of cogent ideas.

What it means is a preference by your side to deny the TRUTH and live in Trump's fantasy world of make-believe.

A world where it is OK for the Vance to effectively call on somebody to assassinate VP Harris - “The big difference between conservatives and liberals is that … no one has tried to kill Kamala Harris in the last couple of months," That is mafia boss-type code for somebody to go do it.  He should be arrested.

And isn't it rich that now Trump is whining that because Biden and Harris TRUTHFULLY say he is a threat to our democracy and somehow that encouraged a Republican who wanted to kill somebody, anybody, and another guy who voted for Trump in 2016 (and then, like many others, regretted his choice) who is apparently pissed that Trump wants to hand Ukraine over to Putin to make the political choice to shoot Trump.

Ironically, Pathological lying, Sexual Predator, serial Felon Trump is FALSELY claiming the same thing about Biden and Harris. Using HIS OWN LOGIC, that means he is calling on somebody to go after them.  What is good for the Goose is good for the Gander.

Two lies (negative minus negative) is not positive, or make the truth.                                     Critically, instead of sifting out truth here, why magically conjured inflation with the pandemic?                                      There's no president under whose government inflation has not occured. Q.E.F.

What do you think the question is here?  Has inflation ever occurred or did a particular president CAUSE the inflation that occurred during their term?  Which scenario is your post addressing?

It is also true that a negative TIMES a negative is a Positive and a negative divided by a negative is also a positive. So what point are you trying to make?

Critically again, a negative multiply by a negative, let's say minus 2 times minus 2, gives minus 4, which is still negative or below zero, or the freezing point.                                      A division by the same -2 by -2 is -1, not plus 1. What maths are you working or scarfolding to blindfold me? What brandy are you drinking to drive me nuts?                                  MyEso, you took too much on yourself!                                      Seriously, tell me where I bad mouth a government cause inflation. What I said was that they's no government under whose administration inflation has not occured. QEF

You need to check your math books   -2 x -2 = +4  And  -1 divided by -1 is +1. (BTW, one of my degrees is in math.)

My Esoteric,  that is interesting.  How many degrees do you have?  You stated that you have an economics degree, correct? Do you have postgraduate degrees also?  I am curious-my previous job was that of an investigator for human rights.  I have degrees in Sociology & History.  I know that you are a very astute person.

Maths is one of my favourite subject. That  minus 2 times minus 2, plus 4, d' you agree that the answer plus 4 is negative?                                      Like as I said before, I graduate BA History. And I attempt a post graduate MSe in Internet System. So I  know my Maths or Arith.

It is absolutely amazing how far the MAGA-Republican Party and Trump have fallen.

Now we have a Trump-endorsed (he called Robinson the “Martin Luther King on steroids” black candidate for governor in North Carolina once calling for the return of slavery and wanting a couple himself. He also, sort of unsurprisingly, called himself a Black Nazi on a pornographic website. (There is much more disgusting stuff in the attached article.)

This quote nicely sums it all up:

"it would be an ironic historical coda if Trump becomes collateral damage to a Republican who would have been anathema to the old GOP but who thrived in the smash mouth political era the ex-president nurtured."

With any luck whatsoever that revelation will push North Carolina in the win column for Democrats because enough Trump voters who want his policies but hate the man will be so disgusted that they won't vote or will vote for the sane party - the Democratic Party.

The rest will either agree with Robinson or stick their collective heads further in the sand and continue to vote Republican.

For those of you who falsely claim no guns were brought to Trump's insurrection, this should put that debunked claim to rest.

"Outside the US Capitol, he wore a red coat and held a gun. It was January 6, 2021, and the gunman stood on a scaffold above the west plaza as a flag-waving mob pressed against a police line. He raised the .38 revolver toward the gray-white sky and pulled the trigger. Once, twice. The gunshots made a dull cracking sound in the winter afternoon. Below him, a few rioters seemed to cheer faintly in response. The man yelled something to the crowd, waving the gun in his left hand. Then he put it away, climbed down the scaffold, and disappeared."

Well, it seems like we have two mafia boss's from New York, Trump, a Republican, and Eric Adams, a Democrat (as if you didn't need more proof THIS DOJ is even-handed even though the last one wasn't).

The Feds are going to indict Adams tomorrow, I guess.  On the same day the Special Prosecutor is going to lay out, in gory detail, the case he has against Trump's insurrection.

A lot of people seem to be going down with Adams, but I don't think it is as many as from Trump's circle that got crossways with the law.

Huh!  So there was "fraud" committed in that election!

Wonder why Democrats deny any such thing as they claim there is no reason to check?

        Reading is fundamental.

Former Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters was sentenced Thursday to nine years in prison for her role in a 2021 security breach in the elections office she was supposed to oversee.

Peters is a prominent far-right conspiracy theorist who was accused of breaching Mesa County’s elections systems during a 2021 security update in an attempt to prove debunked claims of election fraud.

For allowing a man to misuse a security card to access to the Mesa County election system and for being deceptive about that person’s identity, on Aug. 12, a Mesa County jury found her guilty of three felony counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one felony count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, one misdemeanor count of official misconduct, one misdemeanor count of violation of duty in elections, and one misdemeanor count of failure to comply with the secretary of state. She was acquitted on two felony counts of criminal impersonation and one count of identity theft.

Mesa County Commissioner Cody Davis, a Republican, spoke next, telling the court that Peters’ actions cost Mesa County $1.4 million. After the investigation was launched Peters continued to receive her salary while she traveled the country, Davis said. She also cost the county by creating distrust in the electoral system — causing the county to conduct a time-consuming and costly hand count of ballots in 2022, which found no material difference between the machine and hand counts, Davis said.

Fortunately, Colorado, the state where I grew up and spent most of my time,  is "true blue". It has a highly educated sophisticated populace, distinguishing itself from other states in the region. This woman and her antics are not going anywhere and I hope that they throw the book at her.

We need more aggresive prosecutions of those guilty of such crimes in other states, it is not happening fast enough for me.
