Are you a perennial?

A friend shared this with me, and I found it an interesting term that contrasts with the description of millennials and other generational descriptors: A perennial is the adult opposite of millennial. Perennials are the ageless generation that ignores the notion that same age equals same interests; ever-blooming, relevant people of all ages who live in the present time, know what’s happening in the world, stay current with technology, and have friends of all ages. They are involved, stay curious, mentor others, and are passionate, compassionate, creative, confident, collaborative, global-minded risk-takers who continue to push up against our growing edge and know how to hustle. I think this term should get more use. Found it here: https://www.culvercityobserver.com/stor … /8060.html

I love it…think I will have to start using that instead of “Baby Boomer.”

What a lovely definition and state of life! It’s a much nicer term than baby boomer. I’m going to identify as a perennial, too.

A very admirable concept; of course I am many of the qualities you’ve listed – albeit not a risk-taker.  Nevertheless I am very much a baby-boomer, and proud of it; so much so that I was delighted recently to discover the Boomer Radio in the UK, launched in Feb 2021 (during the pandemic) that’s run by baby-boomers for baby-boomers – and the only radio station in the UK that does not have a central studio as the programming for Boom Radio is recorded and presented remotely by its presenters from their own homes.
