There is no rational conclusion except that one side believed that it should win regardless of election outcome. To take such an attitude against all predominant evidence certainly does not make them the brightest star in the heavens, thus their "rational explanations" are mostly BS.

'Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin these four states exploited the COVID-19 pandemic to justify ignoring federal and state election laws and unlawfully enacting last-minute changes, thus skewing the results of the 2020 General Election.

    https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/ne … ction-laws

    \shrug/ who knows how?'

Which is comical because Greg Abbott, without the approval of his legislature, extended the early voting period in the 2020 election.  So, then Texas gets mad because other states chose to make changes during a national emergency in the same manner that they did.  Give us a break with this hypocrisy and find better sources.

As for the Rasmussen claim about absentee ballot verification:
    - The Georgia Secretary of State (SoS) says that in the 2016 Presidential election, 580 out of 246,621 absentee by mail ballots were rejected for “missing or inaccurate oath information” with a rejection rate of 0.24%.
    - In the 2018 general election, 454 out of 284,393 absentee by mail ballots were rejected for missing or non-matching signatures with a rejection rate of 0.15%.
    - In 2020, 2,011 out of 1,322,529 absentee by mail ballots were rejected for missing or non-matching signatures with a rejection rate of 0.15%.

Weird how that rejection rate between 2018 and 2020 are the same percentage.  And weird how they actually checked and can list the exact numbers that were checked and rejected.

Then, if you actually read the affidavit submitted, it states 'the board was told the signature verification was not performed.'  So, the guy making the claim, who sits on the board, was told by someone else that the signature verification was not performed.  This is Rasmussen's evidence?  Again, give us a break.

BREAKING: 2 "teen squatters" have been arrested over the death of Nadia Vitel.

Nadia flew to NY to clean her late mom's apartment when she discovered that 2 SQUATTERS already moved in.

The 2 squatters, Halley Tejada and Kensly Alston, allegedly beat her to death & then proceeded to stuff her body in a duffel.

In NY, illegal squatters become the LEGAL TENANTS after 30 days of living there.

This is where "Progressive" politics is taking America.

Funny how Florida had similar policies up until a few weeks ago.  Was Florida progressive up until March of 2024?  Nor was there any mention that there's already bills in both the NY State House and Senate to amend squatter laws and make it criminal.

An internal poll conducted by the Republican's campaign in December put the Republican on 47.7 percent of the vote against 36.8 percent for the Democrat.

Like I've been saying, the polling is not really accurate these days.  In 2022, the Trafalgar Group was only accurate within the margins in five of 22 polls.

We are losing by 10,000 votes...

Well look what we found here!  A box with 10,000 votes, how lucky!

Do you think it probable that 2024 is going to go just like that with 'Mail in Ballots' in all those key swing states... again?

        Banana Republic

Most developed countries ban absentee ballots, let alone mass Mail In Ballots. Most European Union or other European countries ban absentee for in country voters. Japan banned mail-in voting to only those who have special certificates verifying that they are disabled.

Russia banned them.  France banned absentee voting in 1975 because of massive fraud in Corsica, where postal ballots were stolen or bought and voters cast multiple votes. Mail-in ballots were used to cast the votes of dead people.

America... the only nation allowing their elections to be decided by "Mail in Ballots' that are found or come in AFTER the election is over.

I think we will see fraud in our elections from here on, it's clear that methods are being created in states that promote fraud. This Chicago case seems very classic of what went down in Michigan in 2020. I went to bed feeling Trump was a shoo-in-- then in the morning the shoe had dropped. We even had a Black Democrat poll watcher come forward with several complaints, and she was vilified by media, and made to look like a nut job.

This is what we have settled for, is it not? I see no one protesting or demanding different voting laws at state levels.  "We the people" have become complacent.  It seems we could care little about having our voices heard.

            Fraud or human error?

"Saturday Max Bever, spokesperson for the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners, admitted in a statement published in the Chicago Sun-Times that around 10,000 votes received by mail on the Monday before the primary had been mistakenly left out of previous counts.

"I traded speed for accuracy in reporting out numbers this week as quickly as I could. I truly regret this error on my part and for the confusion that it has caused the voters of Chicago," he said."

Was the man trying to commit fraud? For who? And why?   I'm not even sure that this makes much sense. If it were to be rigged for one or the other candidate, how did he know which candidate would be favored in those 10,000 votes?   I think the real shame here today is that human or any other type of error is disregarded because many would rather believe it's fraud.

                Makes too much sense right?

You require ID to drink, drive, get a loan, get a job... but to vote... nada...

Mail in Ballots literally have no way of proving who filled them out, signed them, or dropped them off.

                As RFK would say...

“There’s a lot worse things than dying,”

“And one of those things is living like a slave or having our children lose all the freedoms that so many generations of Americans died to give us and to protect.”

“We have to be willing, our generation, to make sacrifices to make sure that we don’t lose them. And we’ve seen attacks, unprecedented attacks, on our freedom of speech, on our freedom of worship, on all of the amendments of the Constitution over the past three years. They’re unprecedented. And it’s important for everybody to stand up and say, ‘We’re not going to do this.’ Even if there’s some risks involved, reputational risks, salary risks, we need to make sacrifices for our country.”

If we allow our elections to be stolen by corrupt people with evil intent, they will be.  This is what "Mail in Ballots" ensure will happen.

Not arguing, only providing feedback. For mail-in balloting or absentee voting the scenario is:

Twenty-eight (28) states offer "no-excuse" absentee voting, which means that any voter can request and cast an absentee/mail ballot, no excuse or reason necessary.

Eight states (8) and Washington, D.C., conduct elections entirely by mail (California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont and Washington), which means voters do not need to request a ballot, and instead automatically receive one. However, some states remain having polling places as well such as Calif.

The remaining states (14) require a voter to provide an excuse to qualify for an absentee/mail ballot.

I think that is just fine.

I think them taking the next step and allowing it via phone... using your facial recognition or fingerprint to verify who you are is fine too... it means you will have to be in the State and Federal database... but that is going to be a necessity for your Digital Wallet anyways in the very near future.

So... to make it less likely for fraud to be committed, sticking with in-person voting, absentee voting, and coming up with a new form of voting pertaining to Digital ID sounds like it would be worth working toward.

But the Mail out ballots to everyone... so many places and ways for fraud to take place... for votes to be harvested... ballots to be hidden away...

Credence2: The thing I like best about absentee voting (which I never mail, but hand-deliver) is getting the ballot ahead of time, sitting down with a cup of coffee in the privacy of my own kitchen, and take my time with the amendments and down-ballot candidates with nobody waiting in line behind me to hurry up and finish.

Of course, we all want to take our time going through candidates and ballot issues to make our choices without being harried.

The idea is to encourage participation in the process not to to discourage it. There has been no substantive evidence as to fraud and abuse of mail in or absentee ballots, until all the sudden Trump and MAGA says so to attempt to explain why they lost in 2020.

I do mine sorting out in advance of going to the polls and I want everybody to have that capability of flexibility as an option, rather than jump through hoops placed there by conservatives for no reason.

If the Republicans are so hot to trot on physically casting a ballot, maybe they can suggest that the first Tuesday in November be made a national holiday. But, we know that they would never propose that.

On voting day, I am prepared, it is a quick process; I complete my PAPER ballot and then, I, personally, feed it into the voting machine.
A paper trail is left behind.....
Easy-peasy! I am usually in and out in 15 to 20 minutes.

Trump makes a visit to an NYPD officer,  Jonathan Diller's wake.  He told a crowd "Police are the greatest people.”. Are they? Does he really think so? Or just some of them?   Let's remember that he has not met with any officers from Capitol Police who were injured and assaulted.

Anyone who thinks Trump truly believes that "police are the greatest people" or that he was at the wake out of genuine respect should recall his  campaign rally in Ohio earlier this month.

At the start of that  event,  Trump  saluted as the sound system played a recording of the J6 prison choir singing the national anthem.  Saluting singing felons.

Among the choir  was Peter Stager, serving four years for beating D.C. Police Officer Blake Miller as he lay head-first, face-down on the Capitol steps. Video captured Stager striking the defenseless cop at least three times with a flagpole that had an American flag attached.

Court papers show that Stager subsequently stood over and cursed another officer who had been dragged into the crowd. “Every single one of those Capitol law enforcement officers, death is the remedy,” Stager was recorded saying during the riot. “That is the only remedy they get.”. Cool?  Reasonable?

“Our people love those people,” Trump told the crowd.  Really?

A few weeks after Trump made his latest pledge to free the “hostages,”  NYPD Officer Diller was fatally shot in the stomach after he approached an illegally parked car in Queens.

    Trump stated :

“Our heartfelt prayers go out to the family of highly decorated NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, whose life was taken by a murderous career criminal yesterday during a traffic stop in Queens,”

Where was the similar response or words for the capital police after January 6th?

Trump was apparently counting on everybody forgetting the 140 officers that  were assaulted at the Capitol by people he calls “patriots” and “hostages.”

    Is this hypocrisy?

And the death of officer Brian Sicknick? Trump couldn't even acknowledge it let alone attend the funeral/wake.

Abortion will be on the ballot in Florida in the November election after state Supreme Court cleared the way for the ballot initiative.  Should be interesting to see how this affects the outcome of down ballot races.

    1. Sharlee01 profile image86
Sharlee01posted 7 months agoin reply to this

While the presence of an abortion initiative on the ballot in Florida's November election certainly adds a significant dynamic to the political landscape, it's important to consider the possibility that it may not have a substantial impact on down-ballot races. While social issues like abortion can mobilize certain segments of the electorate and influence voter turnout, polls show other factors such as economic concerns, healthcare, education, and infrastructure also play significant roles in voters' decisions.  Some polls show abortion concerns are not very prevalent any longer. Source Gallop latest polls released March 2024   https://news.gallup.com/poll/642887/inf … deficit%20(51%25).
      https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads … ey-issues/
      https://www.statista.com/statistics/136 … issues-us/

One might consider voters often have multifaceted reasons for supporting particular candidates or parties, and while abortion may be a key issue for some, it may not be the deciding factor for others. Furthermore, the intensity of voter opinions on abortion can vary widely, with some voters feeling strongly about the issue while others prioritize different policy areas that they feel affect their well-being more than abortion rights. Therefore, while the presence of an abortion initiative on the ballot will undoubtedly shape discussions and most certainly mobilize certain voter demographics, its direct impact on down-ballot races may ultimately be more nuanced than anticipated. In my view, I am pleased to see it on the ballot, living in Michigan we worked hard to get it on our ballot in 2022.

And yet, we just watched what happened in Alabama when they attacked women's reproductive rights.  What was supposed to be a tossup went for the Democrats by 26 points.  With Florida's six-week abortion ban going into effect, that is likely going to mobilize the same kind of response that was seen in Alabama.  Women don't like their rights taken away and made to have less than men, or even dead people.

  18. Credence2 profile image82

That got me thinking, what it this The Freedom to Vote Act she was talking about?

The Freedom to Vote Act is historic pro-voter legislation to strengthen our democracy, promote racial justice and equity for all Americans, and block anti-voter efforts in the states.

Well that sounded absolutely positive, who could argue with that?

Hmmm... perhaps I should look into the particulars...

    https://www.brennancenter.org/issues/en … n-can-vote

Millions of Americans are barred from voting because of criminal convictions in their past. Felony disenfranchisement laws...

    Wait... that's a bad thing?

We want people who rob, rape, commit murder to vote?

One in four eligible voters isn’t registered. A decade ago, the Brennan Center proposed automatic voter registration (AVR), which effortlessly registers you to vote while you’re at the Department of Motor Vehicles or another government agency.

Do we really want people deciding who is going to run the country that can't even be bothered with figuring out how to vote?

I suppose we should just fill out their ballots for them and Mail them in as well.

How can you even come close to saying that as gasoline prices go up again every few days?  LOL

Because I understand why.  The Saudi's cut production, which spiked the price of a barrel of oil.  So, Biden is trying to save the country some money by waiting for production to return later this Fall.

You understand the "why" so you can say it has spiked when it clearly has not.  I'm sorry - I don't follow the reasoning.

I'm sorry that you cannot follow the basics of supply and demand on pricing.

Oh, I follow that just fine (although not sure you do).  What I don't understand is claiming prices have spiked while they are still going up.  Generally speaking, "spiked" means "topped out" - no more increases, but apparently you use a different, private, definition.

It gets tiring trying to explain how words can be used.  I'm going to pass on listing definitions in this case and just be done with our conversation.

Criminals Win… NY Hands Prisoners $2500 Each
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNozscpiAz4

Nothing to say really, the information forwarded in this video is... sad...

Well, there has always been an amount of money given to people released from prison.  And that amount has not been raised in fifty years.  And studies have shown that such an initiative has reduced recidivism by close to 30%.  So, only in the eyes of the far-right is an attempt to reduce the crime rate... sad.

So, as the title States "NY hands prisoners $2500 each"

Are they actually, in reality, meaning right now, doing this?

Looks to me that it is currently Just a Bill presented by a state senator.

A candidate you would vote for? Tell me if this is okay..

"Trump stood before a crowd of supporters in Michigan this week and claimed he had spoken to family members of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia, who was killed last month:

“Ruby’s loved ones and community are left grieving for this incredible young woman, remembering what they called her, they said she had just this most contagious laughter and when she walked into the room she lit up the room, and I’ve heard that from so many people. I spoke to some of her family.”

    What does the family say?

"He did not speak with any of us, so it was kind of shocking seeing that he had said that he had spoke with us, and ... misinforming people on live TV,” Garcia’s sister, Mavi Garcia, told local TV news station Target 8."

Trump leveraged Garcia’s  death to gin up fear about the southern border. And he lied about speaking with the grieving family so he could appear to give a damn.

Always so quick to condemn! We just don't know who he has talked with about this, do we? Obviously, not this particular sister. I have family spread out all over the United States, don't  most of us?
I will not be so quick to condemn.
