I entertain no delusions about who or what I am - Supergirl or are you Helen Slater?

Well perhaps you would be so kind as to explain the thinking behind the "Stripes" video clip. I'm sorry if this is supposed to be obvious. To me it was not.

    1. Why are you SHOUTING?
    2. You need a space between the words fact, and Jack.
    3. I bet you just can't imagine what you would do without me, can you?

Watch the video clip again. Trivial. I don't imagine anything about you, at all, ever.

The first lady is trying to help educate and give people tools to help their kids from being fat, unhealthy, picked on and laughed at by their peers.

Ever notice what fat people have in their shopping baskets at the market?  Some people just don't know to prepare healthy meals.  As a result you see a fat momma, a fat daddy and fat kids.  A whole family of Klumps.  Not a pretty picture!

I absolutety agree with your observations of 'supersized families",unfortunately the hand that rocks the cradle also fries the chicken.

I applaud the first ladys initiative in striking up a new food label system that Walmart will be adopting ( this year -unsure of date) and to put pressure on manufacturers to lower salt and additives.
I also think its great that prices will either be lowered to encourage availabilty for low and average income families.

I hope other supermarkets follow suit.
(It really is the responsiblity too of the consumer to quit buying junk and instant over processed foods,so regularly.

      Go Michelle Obama.

Hi Eaglekiwi, I am glad Michelle Obama is taking action toward obesity. I love eating healthy, and it would be great if the prices could be lowered on healthy foods to be more affordable.

Love the phrase, "the hand that rocks the cradle also fries the chicken."  This is so true and the only way to break the cycle, is to offer help to the adults who provide the food for the family.

You can tell that Mrs. Obama's concern is sincere.  My mother didn't start baking instead of frying foods, cutting down on salt and watching her weight, until she was diagnosed with high blood pressure.

High blood pressure can be preventable (in most cases) through proper diet and weight control.

Sadly it is cheaper to eat junk food than fresh fruits and vegetables.  The next best choice is frozen vegetables.

I agree with you there 100%.
My eating was out of control last year ,I was making bad choices ,because I wasnt used to 'instant' and junk being so affordable ( here in the states) ,but my heart was not happy!! so back to basics for me.

Its tough because I love sugary treats, but I also love fruit and raw veggies ,so its worth it.

I feel that if only we could unify more and put pressure on the manufacturers and edcuate the consumers, perhaps change would come.

The manufactures put sugar in everything.  They know it gives you a quick rush and that it is addictive.  It is the same with salty foods.  Food manufacturers are only out for the dollar. They are sooo not interested in the health of the public.  If we are to get healthy, I believe for the most part, we are on our own!

Yes it is that way ,because we(consumers) dont unify into a louder voice.
(And so there is no pressure for the greedy fats to change)

Yes, it is sad. I find it shocking to observe how much sugar is in food. They should raise the prices of junk food so it will not be very easy to purchase, and lower the prices of healthy foods. 2besure, I agree with your responses.
