This should frighten all Americans especially since Obama and his justice dept is doing everything they can to keep the borders open. Obama cares only about winning latino support for reelection than he does about the safety of Americans!
Maybe we should try killing the demand for cheap, Hispanic labor. How about we get all the white, God-fearing capitalists to stop hiring illegals to boost their bottom line?
You're a good capitalist Lady - that's a pure market solution. According to the basic economic theories you support, kill the demand and the supply will dwindle, que no senora? If we destroy it, they won't come... And if you aren't "legal" then you simply can't vote. So your argument falls apart unless of course you are assuming that all "legal" Hispanics hold great ethnic sympathy for their illegal counterparts...
Dude!!lol!! What are you talking about? Did you read what I wrote or the link?? There are terrorists in this country from the middle east... they didn't come here for jobs!!! Wake up man and get off your ideological horse!
Lady, I read the link. And the story mentions nothing about Obama's control of the border or lack thereof being motivated in attempting to garner Hispanic support. IT JUST PLAIN DOESN'T. And that is what your commentary on the thread accuses the administration of doing. So you take 1 and 1, add them together and get 14.
The article by the Fox News blogger is about Hezbollah's influence in the drug cartels in Mexico and how that may destabilize the US. And that may be the case, but you have spun this article into something that isn't even "partially implied" in the actual text of it.
A college professor of mine some 25 years ago, certainly a communist (lol), said one thing of great importance to me and it always stuck: Don't read something that isn't there into the text unless you want to look like an idiot.
I have heard others accuse you of this on other forums. I never really paid attention to it before. But they may be onto something...
I love when ignorant bastards throw around the word "terrorists" to support their lame arguments.
Stop throwing the word terrorists out there just to scare people into believing your idiotic viewpoints and substantiate your ideas with facts.
Thanks Ron... I think its best not to respond to such lame remarks.
You got a whack job spreading unwarranted fears of terrorists and "open" borders and im over the the top? Riiiight.
Some legislatures are indeed trying to ban the hiring of illegals. And that's a good thing.
As far as their willingness to work for less than the average citizen, it's common knowledge that a dollar here is worth much more in Mexico, and the main intent of them working is to send the money back to Mexico.....
And yes I'm inclined to believe that they do hold great ethnic sympathy for their "illegal counterparts". It's becoming more and more obvious that people of other races except for whites do have some sort of...personal preference or racial-based defensiveness for people of their own race. We see it all the time, and I've seen it many times from news commentators. One was recently when Geraldo Rivera interviewed a former drug user (now a musician I think he is..) and Geraldo made a point of saying the guy was a credit to their race, simply because he had straightened out his life. I think it's awesome that the man changed his life for the better! But....there are many whites and others who've changed their ways and lives for the better. Yet I can't imagine any interviewer make a point of saying any white man's change of heart is a credit to the "white" race......
Sorry, you posted to lady_love, but I had it in mind to respond. Wanted to throw in there what I've seen personally....
So Brenda, in your expert opinion, it has nothing to do with business trying to maximize their bottom line in hiring illegas? I will go out on a limb and tell you, point blank, you are 100% wrong. I see this everyday in the roofing industry, construction industry, and maintenance industry. The "white hillbillies and their trucks" of course misdirect their anger at the Mexicans as if they were to blame for taking a job at a lower wage rate.. What they and most small-minded people fail to realize is that the MEXICANS AREN'T DOING THE HIRING. It's the solid, blue-blooded American capitalists/ small business owners who are putting the American hillbillies out of business by hiring mostly illegal Hispanics. And it's all over increasing the bottom line. And the same holds true, on a much larger scale, in American industry - the only difference is it's jobs going overseas instead of hiring cheap Mexican labor domestically. And that's the beauty of politics - being able to convince the not-so-bright that it's the other guy who's doing them wrong. And before you bring it up, this pre-dates healthcare reform and Obama by more than a decade. According to you it's all about working for less because it's common knowledge that the dollar here is worth much more than in Mexico. That's interesting and partially true. It doesn't take into consideration the obvious - that actual illegals LIVE AND WORK IN THE US. If that weren't the case, then they wouldn't be illegals, would they? In other words, the rent they pay is to an American property owner, the milk they buy is at an American store, the gas they buy is bought at an American gas station, etc. Some money is sent back to Mexico, but to assume that most isn't spent/consumed here is ridiculous. And your absolute best quote, "It's becoming more and more obvious that people of other races except for whites do have some sort of personal preference or racial-based defensiveness for people of their own race."
So whites don't have a preference for their own race, is that what you're saying? loll- Wow Brenda - do you live in the Deep South or out West on the Plains? just curious....
Geraldo said to him he was a credit to his race? That is so racist. I'm surprised that no one brought him to account for that remark.
Many recent latino families seem to be a mix of legal and illegal family members from what I've read. Any sort of illegal immigrant raid means a breakup of the family, but it is a problem of their own making when they flout our country's immigrations rules when they succeed in smuggling in a family member. They always yell that the family should be kept together but they reject the obvious solution: returning to their homeland as a family.
Brenda there are quite a lot of white American citizens that have no respect for our immigration rules, so your conclusion that whites don't have any race based preferences or defensiveness seems to be true.
However, let's not hijack the thread. It's about security and our open borders not immigration. In addition, this type of talk will probably get both of us banned because the liberals will see this as holding racist views and a form of hate.
It's more than that. Obama probably wants to give them and Hezbolla instant citizenship, it's a new source for voter registation drives.
Is posting lies your full time occupation? the F A C T S are, (as usual) exactly the opposite of the drivel you post.
Try telling the truth just once. It might become a habit and Brenda won't fear for your soul.
Brenda has more important things to do: gay bashing, snake stomping, America hating etc. etc.
Nice...first off the declines in immigration into this country that you posted reflect the Bush years... I think its safe to say the bad economy accounted for the declines in 2009 as well as the INCREASED violence on the Mexican side of the border from drug lords. Second, deportation increases do NOT reflect secure borders but it shows the administration is addressing the problem after the fact. Third the very subject of my post mentioned secured borders was NOT about Mexicans!
He's trying to show how liberals can think up two different things at the same time, especially when they are not related to your OP!
My bad. I didn't realize you were referring to Canadian Latinos.
"Obama and his Justice department is doing everything they can to keep the borders open" By spending more on enforcement and deporting more people?
Were you home schooled?
And what if they do reflect the Bush years? Who is accusing the Bush administration of not doing enough about illegal immigration? Certainly NOT THE CONSERVATIVES! And certainly the bad economy accounted for further declines in 2009. But the giant bitching argument is that "nothing is being done to secure US borders" and most of the rhetoric is being directed against the current administration - as usual. The graphs show a steady decline in annual inflow of illegals, a steady increase in the number of deportations, and a steady increase, over the decade, in spending on immigration enforcement.
There was no "spin" on what he posted.
Hey that last graph is colored in a RACIST MANNER!!
How do you know when Fox News is lieing? They're on the air.
"Were you home schooled?"
Professor Beckles the Clown School of Fake Drama.
Lady, we have 2000 miles of border with Mexico and only 100 miles are under full control while about 800 miles are "managed", whatever that means. Securing our borders will always be an uphill battle and Hezbolla members are already here. The attacks will probably be in the densest parts of a big city like in Times Square in New York not up on planes anymore.
I still see most of the libs just aren't getting it!! 44% of our southern border is under " operational control" the rest? Wide open according to Reuters:
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUST … 215?ca=rdt
As I stated in the title it isn't Mexicans looking for work I'm worried about its middle eastern terrorists! The recent car bombing by drug lords has the finger prints of Hezbollah all over it and we're beginning to see more of such tactics being used by drug lords. Chavez in the south is aligning with Iran and allowing terrorists entry into Vezuela to make their way over the Mexican border into this country. There is plenty of evidence to support this and yet our borders remain open and the idiot ideologueson the left continue to whine about the poor Mexicans looking for work!
We need troops all along our border and we need to confront violent drug lords with force as well as Chavez if he continues to funnel terrorists into this country!
I don't think Shiny has any money to put more funds into border control. Over 50% of our budget goes to Social Security, Medicare and safety net programs. Too many people are used to the benefits.
There's no money left to do that. The right-wing dim wits are so concerned about keeping lettuce pickers and landscapers out that the actual threats to the U.S. are laughing at us as we waste our law enforcement resources. Nice job teabaggers.
I hate all foreigners. Everyone who comes from "outside my house" should GITOUDDA HERE!!
I never cease to be amazed at how little people know...and yet how loud they decide to run their mouths...
That's a shout out to you Lady, Flightkeeper, and Brenda...the Hubpages trinity of uninformed hate...
What is not a surprise to me is your typical drive by insult comment with a lack of specifity... I think that just displays how much you don't know or how unwilling you are to accept facts unless they are presented in some left wing radical publication that also includes an attack on Cheney Halliburton and the Iraq war! I'm sure you will soon be forth coming with such a post that ties illegals Chavez and Hezbollah terrorists to the Bush family!
Hi Lady! I am part of a trinity of uninformed hate along with you. SNAP! I'm in good company. At least Mikelong recognizes some sort of trinity. It's so funny when they get so irritated that they came up with a title just for us. The only thing I can say is Keep On Truckin!!!
If I didn't know better, I might think you are being sexist
I'm hoping it is just coincidence that your "trinity of uninformed hate" happen to all be women!!
Ouch! We are supposed to be the "fair" sex

I think Pres. Obama's Immigration Reform speech was one of the best he has given. He touched on all the right points. And I like the content of his proposed action. Here is the speech:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeT_vu31eawBut... I also think it was a pure political move. I do not believe he was...
