         In any case - for every "fact" on the internet, you already well know there is someone else who's got a "fact" that says otherwise.

            Very true. And I really don't care what people choose to believe on ANY topic.
            
            But I do care if they're just doing it because friends/news/random people says it is so.
            
            I'm just annoying like that.
            
            I'm even happy to take the minority side even if I don't agree with it in some cases just because I like people to THINK.

               Maybe I wasn't paying attention...but it seemed like an hour after I watched the thing IT WAS EVERYWHERE!

               My take is always "spreading awareness" about stuff. Too many folks in the US...literally believe the garbage/lies on television...even to this day where it's so abundantly obvious that televised "news" is antithesis to all that is true.
               
               ...folks are often still wrapped up in their material world, and don't bother to consider what might go on far away.

      I would, if I could be sure my money would go anywhere useful.  Having lived in Africa, I know the level of corruption and how frequently "charities" are absolute scams.

      Do your research people this Kony is a scam. Kony has been dead for years. the "Kony 2012" is nothing more for the American people to get behind this globalist government of ours  to invade that part of Africa, guess what that part of Africa has? Thats right Oil, same reason we invaded, Iraq, and all the others. Wake up. Man I can't wait to start my first hub.

      They only care about people or social issues when they are referring to a nation where they feel the need to increase their control over the resources within.

   Wesman. Not exactly true. Uganda would be a great place for the united states military in terms of national interests. The area is known for natural resources and it's thought we need to do something about Chinese advancement on the continent. Not saying that's a good idea, but it shows there is something else going on. The Kony issue is much more complicated than that 30 minute video shows.

   I think everyone is nitpicking a little bit here. The Kony 2012 organization only suggests people donate and to a different organization. They basically want people to spread the word. But the bigger picture is that people KNOW that monsters like this exist in the world. We all do, and if you don't, I'm putting you on notice. It's hard to get involved and make a difference sometimes. Now here is someone who is DOING something about it (or trying to.) We need more people like this. Both sides of the issue? More complicated than that? Does it matter? It seems to me that nothing changes the underlying theme that people like this need to be stopped. If it's not "Kony" it's going to be somebody else.

   "Freedom of information" doesn't specify good or bad, but rather the freedom to put something out there for whatever discussion might follow.  P. S.  Try a "Freedom of Informatin Act" application for what the FBI has on file about you!  You might be surprised.  No big expense, just a "forgot all about it!" until it finally arrives.

      I spent four hours one day years ago in a federal building with those goons...one was asking questions, one was watching my body language and taking notes, and there was also a camera, and a Dallas City big wig prosecutor asking questions as well.
      
      I went home...never heard back from them.
