Volunteers Abroad Needed to Connect People with Communities in Need

Updated on August 29, 2013

The Global Volunteer Network

The Global Volunteer Network (GVN) offers volunteer service opportunities in community projects throughout the world.

We need you!!

Our vision is to support the work of local community organizations in developing countries through the placement of international volunteers. We believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their needs, and we provide volunteers to help them achieve their goals.

Volunteering is a great way to contribute to the global community and gain experience, and also fosters personal growth. Whether you would like to take a short volunteer vacation or a prolonged gap year, GVN provides challenging and affordable international programs abroad.

We currently provide volunteer programs through our partner organizations in 21 countries.

About the Global Volunteer Network

GVN currently has volunteer positions available through our partner organisations in Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Kenya, Nepal, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, South Dakota, USA, and Vietnam.

At GVN we align with the idea of 'local solutions to local problems', so we work with local community organisations in each country. We believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their needs, and we provide volunteers to help them achieve their goals.

GVN offers a variety of programs that volunteers can become involved in including teaching, childcare, orphanage programs, medical/health placements, HIV/AIDS education, environmental conservation, wildlife programs, maintenance and construction, and community development.

Hello. Thought I would stop by while updating my Outreach Africa Lens. Thank you for putting this lens together. I do think that education and awareness are key in the resolution of any of the problems facing particularly African countries today.
