Germany's Aces of World War I

Lothar-Siegfried Freiherr von Richthofen (27 September 1894 - 4 July 1922) was a German First World War fighter ace credited with 40 victories during the war. He was the younger brother of top-scoring ace Manfred von Richthofen (the Red Baron) and a cousin of the Luftwaffe field marshal Wolfram von Richthofen.

      interesting information on Lothar...my dad was friends with Manfred von Richthofen (the Red Baron) I have a photo of dad and him in one of his planes...5*

      Lothar von Richthofen was well-liked by his comrades, unlike his famous brother Manfred, who was highly respected but considered cold and aloof. Lothar survived the war. Manfred did not. Something to think about.
