The List Of Star Trek Characters

Hello and welcome to my list of Star Trek characters. I am a Trekkie, a Trekker, a Star Trek fan...what ever you want to call it. I made a page about Star Trek Ships and thought it would be fun to make a long list of the characters from the TV series. Of course, if i decide to later in the lens, I could include all the different Star Trek movie characters too. So I am going to begin here, where no man has gone before, and make the list. ( I really do know that others have gone here before and there are many online lists of the Star Trek characters. I just thought it would be fun to say that...and it was!) There are places on this lens where you can add a name or two or ten, so if you have a favorite Star Trek character I don't have on my list, please feel free to add them.

Check out some fun Star Trek Valentine's Day card and gift ideas.

    James T. Kirk

Meet Captain James Tiberius Kirk Of The USS Enterprise

James T. Kirk Captain Of The USS Enterprise

James T. Kirk was born in Riverside, Iowa on March 22nd, 2233. That's one of the trivia quiz answers, so you will get at least one right if you take the quiz

Kirk completed the Star Fleet academy and became the only student to ever beat the Kobayashi Maru scenario, a test that graded the reactions of students while in "no win" battle situations. He had to break into the test program and re-program them. It was considered a brilliant move, he even received a commendation for thinking outside the box.

In the year 2264, when Jim Kirk was 31 years old, he got command of the USS Enterprise, Registration NCC-1701. It's here he met and crewed with Mr. Spock, Lt. Uhura, Montgomery Scott, Dr. Leonard McCoy and Hiraku Sulu. This is the Captain and crew of the Star Ship Enterprise who embarked on a five year mission, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, to go where no man has gone before.",

James Kirk was married once to Miramanee. He had two children, one who died unborn in 2268 and a son, David Marcus, who died in 2285.

He was Captain of the Enterprise for over 30 years. The character of James Tiberius Kirk was played by William Shatner and in the 2009 movie, he was played by Christopher Pine.

Mr. Spock, Vulcan First Officer Of The USS Enterprise

        Meet Mr. Spock

The Vulcan First Officer, Mr. Spock

Don't you just love those pointy ears? Or is it that eyebrow that gets to you? I was always gaga for Mr. Spock. He was the logical choice for me, so cool, so collected, so logical. He made an impact on lots of Star Trek fans, in fact, I don't know who is the more popular character, Captain Kirk or First Officer Spock.

Spock was born in Shi'Kahr on the planet Vulcan. His parents were the Vulcan Ambassador, Sarek and the Human woman, Amanda Grayson. The marriage of these two made life rather difficult for the half-breed Spock as he was growing up and later in life he still had to wrestle with issues from his human and his Vulcan sides. He could have gone to the Vulcan Science Academy, but chose Star Fleet Academy instead and that caused a long rift with his father.

Spock's serial number in Star Fleet was S 179-276 SP. He was born in the year 2230, he died in the year 2285 and he was re-born again that very same year. Spock had an older brother named Sybok. He was also married to T'Pring, but it was annulled. This caused Spock to say that famous quote, "Ston, she is yours. You may find that having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting. This is not logical, but it is often true."

Leonard Nimoy played Mr. Spock until 2009 when the role was taken over by Zachary Quinto. Can you tell that Spock is my favorite of all the Star Trek characters?

        Dr. Leonard "Bones" Mc Coy

Meet Dr. Leonard "Bones" Mc Coy

Dr. Leonard "Bones" Mc Coy Merchandise

Dr. Leonard "Bones" Mc Coy was born in 2227, in the Southern part of the United States of America. He was married and after a rough divorce, he joined Star Fleet. One of the pat statements McCoy makes on the show and in the movies is, "I'm a doctor, not a brick layer, a mechanic, an engineer, you fill in the blank." DeForest was one of the original Star Trek characters. DeForest Kelley played Dr. McCoy in the series and movies until 2009 when the role was taken over by Karl Urban.

        Star Fleet's Lt. Uhura

Meet Lt. Nyota Uhura Of The USS Enterprise

        Lt. Nyota Uhura

Lt. Nyota Uhura was born in the year 2239 in the United States of Africa on the planet Earth. After graduation from Star Fleet Academy she was assigned to work as communications officer aboard the Star Ship Enterprise under Captain James T. Kirk.

Uhura speaks her native language, Swahili, fluently. Her name means "Freedom" in Swahili. This Star Trek character made some huge advances in TV history. She was the first black woman to be a communications officer and she and Captain Kirk exchanged the first bi-racial kiss on TV. The character of Nyota Uhura was played by Nichelle Nichols until 2009 when this role was played by Zoe Saldana.

        Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Meet Enterprise's Chief Engineer, Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Montgomery "Scotty" Scott, Chief Engineer Of The Star Ship Enterprise

Mr. Scott is a Scottish Star Fleet Engineer who serves aboard the USS Enterprise with Captain James T. Kirk. Scotty is one of the more humorous Star Trek characters with his rantings about his ship's engines. Chief Engineer Scott hales from Linlithgow, Scotland, where he was born in 2222. He is a virtual miracle worker coaxing the engines of the Enterprise to go faster and further than it was ever intended to do. Though it was actually never said quite this way, the most popular of all Mr. Scott's quotes is, "Beam me up, Scotty". Mr. Scotts official serial number at Star Fleet was SE-197-54T. Scotty began his career in Star Fleet as an ensign and ended it as a captain.

Hiraku Sulu Of The USS Enterprise

        Meet Mr. Sulu

Mr. Hiraku Sulu Of The Star Ship Enterprise

Hiraku Sulu was a physicist serving in the astroscience division of the USS Enterprise when he asked for a transfer to the helm, where he became the helmsmen, serving under James T. Kirk. Sulu was born in 2237, in San Francisco, on the planet Earth. Sulu was a genius when it came to the strategy of the Klingons, he studied them for years.

Sulu was a botanist and enjoyed working with rare plants in his garden. He was an experienced swordsman and he was also an expert on ancient Earth weapons. Sulu was also experienced in judo. His best friend was his crewmate, Pavel Chekov.

        Pavel Androvitch Chekov

        Meet Mr. Chekov

        Mr Chekov Facts And Merchandise

Mr. Pavel Andreievich Chekov was the navigator on the USS Enterprise and served under Captain James. T. Kirk. His Star Fleet serial number was 656-5827B. Chekov was a Russian and when he spoke his v's always sounded like w's. He would say Wodka instead of Vodka. He was also adamant that everything was Russian in origin, including Scotch Whiskey. Chekov was born in 2245 and he began his career on the Enterprise as an ensign, ending it as a commander.

Scotty - loyal, resourceful, brave, brilliant at his job, and he could do Captain Kirk's job too when he had to.
