Dr. Thomas John Paulos

Updated on August 17, 2014

We Appreciate You Tom!

If Tom were to greet you today, he would welcome you with a smile and let you know just how much you are valued and appreciated. It was just his way.

Everyone who came in contact with him always came away feeling a little better.

He loved the Lord and will long be remembered as a people person and an encourager sharing God's unending love.

This is a tribute to a loving husband, son, brother and friend. As a child of God, his lamp will continue to shine bright forever.

Tom, we love and appreciate all that you are.

Tom's favorite passage of scripture.

Matthew 6:33-34 (NKJV)

But seek first the Kingdom of God

and His Righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about its own things.

Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

The Lord's Prayer - Tom prayed this prayer daily.

In the arms of Jesus.  Welcome home my son.

Lovingly Remembered
Lovingly Remembered

Tom would want to remind you just how much you are loved by God.

You are valuable to Him. Believe and receive that love.

Because Jesus was the lamb that took our sin debt,

He is the one and only true God Almighty.

He is worthy. - We are counted as worthy, because He is Worthy.

Tom's Life Verse in Song - by Casting Crowns

There are many things that happen in our lives that we do not understand.

It is our faith in God that keeps us going when everything within us wants to let go.

Our hope and help comes from trusting God to work everything out for His glory.

Though our heart is sometimes torn, we will continue to PRAISE HIM IN THE STORM.

All you need to do is pray this prayer of salvation.

Dear Jesus,

Lord I know that I have not lived my life according to your Holy Word. I have sinned and seek Your forgiveness. I am asking you right now Lord Jesus to forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me. I believe You are God's Son who died for me. Save me now Lord; I want to live my life for You. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

      Dr. Michael Boston

Today, March 23,2013 I learned of Tom's passing at a continuing ed. seminar in Ft. Lauderdale ,Fla. In disbelief, my eyes welled with tears. Tom was my Assistant Clinic Director at the North Marietta Clinic at Life University. I have NEVER had the pleasure of working with anyone so cheerful, giving, thoughtful and helpful as Tom. He was never too busy to lend a hand no matter what you asked of him and it was always done with a smile. Even when something did not go his way, he smiled through it. He always had something nice to say to someone and always looked for the positive outcome. We had some deep conversations about various topics and his insight, genuineness, smile, and friendship will never be forgotten. Tom was truly a special human being and I am a better man for having known him. Rest in peace, my friend.

I hope this isn't too long. I worked with Tom (or for him) at Loyola Marymount. I had a wonderful relationship with Tom, I have him an NIV bible. All that energy. I used to tease him that he should use Papodapaulos! When I finally found him on Google, it was too late. I wanted you to know how special he was to me, & how I loved him .I know he must have loved you so much. You'll alway have your love together. Thank you for your memory of him.

Monday Sept 10th is My Sparkling Gem's birthday. We always celebrated our birthday's for days. I remember the first year we celebrated my bd-we were only dating for a short time and I asked him, two weeks after my BD, are we done celebrating yet? His comment was,"not quite yet!" he was such a giver and full of life and fun.

@anonymous: Thanks for the post. I can't believe he has been gone 5 months today. Thanks for sharing the part that he told you he wanted to marry me. We were so happy and he was such a great husband, best friend, provider, soul mate. He was truly a man of God and love me like Christ loved the church. I learned so much from him and am a better woman of God today because of my husband.

Cindy, It was no coincidence that Dr. Paulos was my boss after my surgery and 30 day hospital stay in 2001. God knew that I needed someone to tell me that "the sun is shining and the birds are singing" everyday at that point in my life :-) Dr. Paulos confided in me how he wanted to marry you! I read about his passing in the Life publication. So sorry for you... You're in my prayers. As I look to the sky right now, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the sky is a more beautiful shade of blue because Dr. Paulos is up there now.

I don't know if you remember me Cindy, we were classmates and both friends with Eric and Greg. I was shocked to learn of Dr. Tom's passing this morning. Whenever my husband and I talk about our experiences at Life U., we both remember Dr. Tom fondly. He always had a kind word of encouragement for us students and always made us smile. My condolences to you and your family. He will be greatly missed.

@anonymous: Thank you for those kinds words. He surely was an example of God's love and encouraged everybody he knew, even until his dying moment. I will forever be thankful that God gave me such a precious gift. He was truly My Sparkling Gem. He loved me as Christ loved the church. He was and will always be my forever.

Hi. I went to Life Chiropractic College with Tom. We were in the same class for 3 1/2 years. Although we haven't been in touch, I've always wanted to be. Tom was one of the best classmates I ever had. He was ALWAYS there for me when I needed him. We studied together, we practiced adjusting on each other, we ate meals together, and he just made my experience at Life so much easier. I am so truly saddened by his passing. All I can say, is that he loved God so much, God probably wanted him up there with him. My deepest sympathies for the family, friends, and everyone who was touched by the magic of Tom. I know there were very many - Jeff Arnel.

Tom has been our neighbor in Brunswick for many years. He had the most positive attitude of anyone we've ever met. He was always ready with a smile, a word of encouragement and always left you with "God bless." In the past two years as Tom dealt with his challenges, he was very careful to cover his pain and disability ... he never complained and no matter what you did to try to make him feel better, you always came away feeling better than he. Tom was a blessing ... and we will miss him.

The first time I talked to Tom, it was over the phone at work. I don't think we talked about anything important, (I really can't remember) but I remember the gentleness, warmth and kindness in his voice. I don't remember what we talked about but I'll never forget how he made me feel! I feel blessed for having had the privilege of sharing a little time knowing Tom. Cyndi, you continue to be in my prayers. Be at peace knowing that Tom will always be with you in spirit! Love you, Joy

Tom was and is my forever. He was my spiritual leader as the head of the home. He loved me as Christ loved the church. He taught me the meaning of love. He loved me deeply and I am so blessed to have the wonderful years we had together. I will forever be touched and changed because of this man. He taught me how to be strong in the Lord and trust Him even when we do not understand. I know he would not want us to be sad for him, so please rejoice with me in the celebration of his new life. Please remember what my husband stood for and let his legacy live on. I love you so much my "Sparkling Gem".

      Your forever,

Cyndi and family I am so sorry to hear of this terrible loss. Unfortunaly, I never had a chance to meet Tom, but I know Cyndi and her loving heart and what she stood for and I can only imagine their personalities blended well together. My heart greives for his loved ones, but the one assuring thing I do know is he is no longer suffering and is in a much better place looking down upon us letting us know he is OK.....SIncerely, Antoinette Morris

      Cyn,

We love you, and will always remember Tom for the special person he was. My funniest memory of him was at your wedding in Jersey where he was greeting the people and he had a great big smile from ear.He set a new tradition for grooms. When they are nervous before the wedding greet and walk the guests to their seats! Now he is greeting new ones in heaven and talking with Mom and Jesus! We will always remember and miss you Tom!
