Unbelievable Arrogance And Cruelty

Updated on January 28, 2015

How Unthinking

What a mess our arrogant 'leaders' have made.I am talking from a British perspective.

In the middle of the disaster in Japan ,they have shamed us in front of the World, by dragging us into this terrible attack upon a country that has nothing at all to do with us i.e Libya.

One could ask 'Where are the so called rebels getting their money from "?

They certainly look well fed, well clothed ,and well showered !

So half a Million pounds for each missile, whilst in the UK, we are seeing swimming baths, libraries, nurseries and even public toilets closed.

Day centres and other help for the elderly such as meals on wheels are already shutting down, or facing privatisation.

NHS Could be lost

If Government spending cuts are not stopped we will see the end of social care and the NHS.in the United Kingdom.

Prime minister Cameron said he was sending Tornado and Typhoon Jets-as part of a joint operation with U.S and France-this against plenty of opposition and questions asked in the house about the use of depleted uranium munitions ,which as usual, went unanswered.

Just a few months in Iraq

The invasion of Iraq was to take only a few months ! Eight years have gone by at a cost to the U.S of $750 billion . As of this week 4,439 U.S troops have been killed with 47,000 U.S troops still in Iraq.Where will we be in another Eight Years ? Will we still be in Libya ? Scavenging for Blood- oil !

It's shameful jandee. What we all have to do with this is way beyond me. For many years I've tired of us trying to be the world police and it doesn't stop. Too many lives (human not just US or GB) have been wasted not to speak of the $'s. The rich get filthy rich while the rest of us suffer. Maybe we need to do what they're doing in the middle east, it's past time for a change. Wonderful hub! Peace!! Tom

Thanks Tom,Today in U.K 500,000 union members and others are marching against cuts and I wish them well. We were well over a few million in 03 against Iraq war but it was futile. My question is 'Who are doing what in the Middle East and for what motive'???

There is some major union busting being attempted here too. What's the motive indeed. Government's are run by corporations now so whatever is in their interest flies.

I do not understand why we are involved now in Libia. It is a drop of oil when you look at the big picture. I am a liberal who voted for Obama but this is not why he was elected. The last thing we need to do is bomb or occupie another country!

an incrediable waste of money. If there was "meaning" to it, then I'd be okay with spending money, but to continue something like this, even in Canada (where we have spent nearly a billion on various prjects of teh sort) is a waste.

By the way on the subject of bikes you mustn't take it personally ! everybody gets abused on a bike by nutty motor drivers, bus drivers and wagons etc. etc.

I saw your hub for a couple of seconds and was getting back to it later........Too late,j Oh!Another thing! A young friend of ours,a mad keen, cyclist, was cycling round the outside of the park when a fast car slowed down and an arm came out and actually pushed him off his bike.

The Iraq invasion 8 years ago was madness. This just seems like sheer insanity. The western world is bankrupt, exhausted, and supposedly under the care of new leaders who would steer us on the right path. Hogwash. Business as usual. Blood for money.

When oil is concerned morality goes out of the window. The world is so dependent on oil that the leadership goes into panic mode when they think the supply is threatened. Human lives, not to mention human rights, are worth far less than profits, and profits are driven by oil. So people and their rights get sacrificed for oil. Happens all the time.

If the concern for human rights, which has been the excuse given for the invasion of Libya, were real, then Saudi Arabia should have been invaded years ago!

      Thanks for this Hub.

      Love and peace

Although I am not sure I agree with your overall sentiment, I think you make some excellent points - including the length of time the US has been in Iraq and the fact that Britain is sending military aid when your social services are taking such an enormous hit.

Ladies - I cannot ride my bicycle without seeing arrogance and hatred from a driver or drivers. People use their vehicles for they homocides. Drivers purposely slam on brakes to injure and scare cyclists. American drivers drive as arrogantly as they vote. America is so ignorant about the bicycle that it seems most cops aren't familiar with the goings on. Many cops are not bicycle friendly. The loudest voice in America is arrogantly NEOnazi.

Considering it makes little sense in the long run I wonder what the true motives behind the whole Libya farce is . . . It is obviously a contrived revolt, but what are the true motives . . .is it really just greed or is it as the Zeta Talk website describes that Africa will for the most part survive intact the coming Polar Shift and so is being divided among The Powers That Be now so that it can be easily seized after the Pole Shift?

I still believe that Nibiru (Planet X) is here and causing all the geographical upheavals and TPTB know for the most part what countries and continents will survive. According to Zeta Talk Africa will remain the only relatively untouched continent, hence the occupation and attention that it is receiving.

    • Micky Dee profile image

Good point for sure somethgblue. These folks can supply any country (and do) with NATO arms. America NEOcons must be tired of the evidence of the arms used in atrocities like the murder of hundreds of thousands of East Timorese by Indonesians trained in the United States of America by Blackwater, now known as Xe Services (talk about pollution. Of course the mothers, fathers, children were killed by M-16s made in the United States of America.

If any country stands against the POWER they will be invaded repeatedly by the CIA of this country or the many secret facets of the EMPIRE. There are so many "secret arms" of the EMPIRE it will amaze me if the other countries can resist the beast.

"Beast" is what the devouring POWER is. They will shed all blood that is necessary.

I'm certainly not preaching here - but - the religious again fail to connect the dots. My atheist friends DO NOT believe in endless war. My atheist friends DO NOT participate in war. My atheist friends do not believe in blind false patriotism. The religious wrong need to get right. The religious need to DIG and find true answers to this world under siege.

But the religious sit. They watch as country after country is invaded in this hemisphere. They sit as Palestine is obliterated. They sit as Cambodia is trashed and millions are murdered. They sit as their fellow Americans are trashed, as heroes who disagree with murder are trashed. The religious sit. They make a stir at abortion clinics. They sit as their children are murdered in "just another conflict over-seas and they thank a "merciful God for keeping war from our "shores". America needs to wake up as well as all western sheep. The war is ALWAYS on OUR SHORES. Our children of draft age are missing. But the elite don't care. The poor are just breeders for the soldiers needed. The maintenance of these soldiers will be very cheap. I know. I am a soldier. Still am.

This endless war is just "murder on the half shell".
