Ever seen a woman slap a man? What was your reaction? Now, what if you had seem him slap her?
It's widely acceptable in our culture for women to hit, scream at, belittle, swear at, spit on, throw objects at, bite, and otherwise physically harm men. Often, it's even considered funny. Yet, if a male does any of these things to a female, he is portrayed as an abuser. People tend to turn the other cheek when a woman behaves abusively to a man. She is portrayed as "passionate" or "feisty". Newsflash: There's a difference between being passionate or feisty and behaving like a histrionic child with no self control.

Unfortunately, divorce doesn't always mean a man gets rid of an emotionally unbalanced woman. If only it were that easy. If there's a shared custody arrangement, the two ex-partners must maintain some degree of contact with each other. If the man was married to a female who was emotionally or otherwise abusive, she can continue the abuse through that continued contact and via the shared offspring. Even in cases where no custody arrangement is involved, men are frequently slapped with alimony payments, tying them to their exes financially. Now, how many women do you know who have to pay their ex-husbands alimony?
Men get chewed up and spit out in divorce & custody proceedings every day. There's no equality or fairness about it. The system is largely biased toward women. It's disturbing, unconstitutional, and disheartening, to say the least.
Men Face Discrimination Too
"Does sexism against men exist? What it looks like and why we need to take it seriously
This book draws attention to the "second sexism," where it exists, how it works and what it looks like, and responds to those who would deny that it exists. Challenging conventional ways of thinking, it examines controversial issues such as sex-based affirmative action, gender roles, and charges of anti-feminism. The book offers an academically rigorous argument in an accessible style, including the careful use of empirical data, and includes examples and engages in a discussion of how sex discrimination against men and boys also undermines the cause for female equality."
"Empowering, educating and directing men to resources and advocates when their basic rights are violated or compromised because of their gender."
- A Shrink for Men
"For men who are recovering from relationships with abusive women and the non-abusive family and friends who love them."

- The National Center for Men
"The National Center For Men, incorporated in 1987, is dedicated to the advocacy of men's equal rights. We educate the public about how men have been hurt by sex discrimination and we also counsel individuals and families who have been damaged by dis
Pulling Your Own Weight
It's nice to have a man open a door for me once in a while, but I'm not disabled, and I'm perfectly capable of helping carry the groceries into the house. "Because I'm a girl" is not a valid excuse to get you out of doing something you don't want to do. If you want to be treated as an equal, then act like one. However, if you want to be treated as an invalid or a child... well, you know. Just be aware that if you choose to behave that way, you forfeit the right to get angry when those around you handle you as if you were a toddler in need of a nap.
The females who really make me sick are the ones who feel empowered when they successfully manipulate people, especially men. If keeping someone under your thumb, and keeping them from reaching their full potential makes you feel empowered, you might be a sociopath. True empowerment comes from such things as autonomy, good ethics, strong boundaries, and the desire to help others succeed, to name but a few.
The Bottom Line
Most emotionally healthy, confident women truly do desire equality. Unfortunately, there are plenty of fickle, whiny, emotionally unstable females seeking to tip the scales in their favor. They want to be treated like princesses, and they think that men are only here to buy them things, make them feel special, and cater to their every whim.
