What would you do if you had no limits?

Think beyond the boundaries of practicality and "shoulds"; this is an open-ended question about possibilities...

I would share without limits, without end, without validation, for not only the better of others, but for the simple joy and satisfaction in giving.

Thank you Gerg and whonunuwho, I figured I'd leave the idea of infinite sharing up to the imagination, thereby placing "no limits". I couldn't possibly know all the possibilities, but I'd sure enjoy the journey. Pure bliss!

Something that is way up there is to travel first class on airlines as a VIP. Upon arriving at destinations, I would love to be chauffeured to and from hotels and points of interest ( I don't want to drive).

I'd like a vacation condo in Kauai that we could use, plus any of the family could use, and that could be willed to heirs upon my demise.

If I'm going to live in a house with a yard, I want a full time Gardner, landscaper, and caretaker. A housekeeper and cook would be a great addition.

I'd like an indoor dog as a pet, but I'd want an arrangement for paid pet care when I was traveling and also pet health care.

    That's enough for starters.

Great starters - and I definitely like the Kauai condo idea, for selfish reasons...  ;-)

I was going to say I'd do just what I'm doing now, but I caught myself because, looking at the photo you posted, I think that is not true.

If I had no limits I would just start walking and exploring. I have had the persistent fantasy ever since childhood of just setting out to see the world, kind of like a monk might, living hand to mouth. But I always have strong connections to others I care for both emotionally and in practical ways, and I would feel wrong to leave them.

I did this once as a kid and was snatched back, which I guess was good since I was six. But at no time did I feel fear. I got nearly six miles on foot and only got caught because I got hungry.

If I had no such attachments and had nothing else to stop me, I think I would do that. I would just set out walking. It puts me in mind of that blurb you see in gift shops and so forth, "Not all who wander are lost." That really resonates with me for some reason. Great question, thanks!

Thanks, CR!  That photo is one I took from Canyonlands National Park on a two week trip I took with my kids two years ago.  So you're spot on in your understanding of the question.

if by no limits you mean anything I desire. I would create the arc generator like in the Ironman movie. I would love to see the world with unlimited clean power. Hospitals that would never lose power in a storm or natural disaster. Space craft that could go beyond what we can now because of no concern over power.

I would explore every corner of the world and enjoy all that I possibly could. I would right all the wrongs and help all of those in need. I would see that the world knows that the only way is the way of goodness, and sharing and caring are the only thing that truly matters in life.I would devote my life to curing cancer and quelling all of the major diseases in the world. I would see that every child had a happy life and young adults had a truly wonderful life in which to look forward to and have no fears about their futures.I would not worry about life after death, because I have a strong faith in our God and creation. The only thing that human beings would have to be concerned with is what happy way of life each would choose and that no one would ever go hungry again. I would change laws about deforestation, dumping wastes into the waters of the earth and see that there would never be waste deposited into water or the air for the rest of time to come.True democracy would be a way of the world and all would participate, because they wanted to do so. There would never be discrimination in any form and all would have freedom to worship as they please. I would update education worldwide and see that all had the ability to learn how to care for themselves by heir own intelligence and ability through training. These would be my limitless things that I would share with the world.

If without limits, then I will try to cater for people to learn how to survive without depending on others. As I have watched too many of such cases, it is hard to help them all without resources. So with unlimited resources, it will be great to teach them how to survive without dependent on others.

This will probably sound silly but if I had no limits I would fly...everywhere. I would have wings that allowed me to travel the the other side to visit my family who has left the planet. And, I would fly to all of the places in our country and in our world and maybe even to outer space to discover and learn.

Not silly at all - that's the kind of unencumbered thinking I was hoping to inspire.  Flying is the ultimate metaphor for freedom of movement!

If I had no limits Hmm are you ready? I would create my own universe from top to bottom.  No limits to me means that my intelligence and power would have no bounds so I would have the ability to create an interesting universe populate it with new created being and then I would go in that universe and play with my own personal creations. I would endow myself with every type of power imaginable including eternal life and form changing.  Hmm sorry but I really do not think I would invite anyone else.

I would travel back and forth from my realm to this realm. I would still owe a debt to the original creator for blessing me with such ability, therefore;  I still would help those in this realm who wanted my help, if not see you later.

    Best wishes.

If I had no limits.  I would burn out and die.  Limits are what keep me in touch with reality and reality is cool.  Whitewater kayaking is cool because of the limits.  Riding motorcycles around hairpin bends is cool because of the limits.  Running till I drop is cool because of the limits and driving a car to the speed limit is cool because I don't get a speeding ticket.

I understand the perspective you're sharing, Agantum - obviously, we need limits.  It's a reasonable statement to say we need reasonable limits to ensure we stay sane and in touch with reality.  This question just asked others to explore possibility.

Reminds me of a Steven Wright one-liner:  "My apartment was robbed and everything was replaced with exact replicas...I told my roommate and he said 'Do I know you?'"  As quoted by Rodney King, who passed on earlier today, "can we all get along?" Thx

I would travel the world with my husband and write about all of it. We would go to Italy again, Greece, India, Japan, Russia, Chile, and everywhere else in between. I would have a log of pictures too. We would be adventurers in a world of our making.
