When Someone Thinks of You

Updated on December 28, 2011

When Someone Thinks Of You

When someone thinks of you

And let you know they care.

It gives your heart a smile,

'Tis a feeling beyond compare.

If someone is on your heart

But the word you never say.

If you value their friendship

Take time to tell them today.

With our hurried way of living

Many things are left unsaid..

Kind words need spoken today

Tomorrow they may be dead

Somehow we think we're immortal

But all .the days go by so fast

God has given us an allotted time

And today may be the very last.

So slow down your pace of living,

Look around at those you know.

If you have love within your heart

This is the day to tell them so!

*************************************

Most of us have someone that we

love dearly but we have never told

them so ,we just took it for granted

that they knew how we felt about

them, good friends , relatives or

others that you care deeply for ,if

you have never told them how

you how much you care for them

can you think of a better time than

now? They could be taken out so

quickly without a last good bye.It

takes such a short time to say

how much it means to have them

in your life and I am sure they

would be very happy to have you

tell them it will probably make

their day. It doesn't cost a penny

but just think what joy you could

gve to someone who really may

have needed a loving word this day!

Hello Rasta1, thank you for your comment, my computer has been down a lot and I am behind answering , I try to answer every one that I receive,It is nice here to have someone tell you they will pray for you . Sometimes If I tell someone they are thankful and other times they just ignore it . I see you have a couple of hubs newly put on , I will get back to them in a few days ,I am looking forward to reading them.Keep writing ! clara

In Jamaica it is common to ask someone to pray for you. People believe that the more people that they can get to pray for them the better things will be. This is very true and your hub was a reminder.

Thanks.Allenn, for your comment. I think most of us are guilty at one time or another of taking things for granted. We usually don't mean to but maybe just put it off and then get busy and forget our good intentions, yes, life is full of regrets. No, there is no point looking back ,we just have to ask The Lord to forgive us and to change our ways ,It would be nice if we could just go back and change , unfortunately that is not always possible .We can always turn to Jesus to help us, there is no better place to go .Thanks. clara

HI NiaG, I am glad that you like the poem, yes , i guess it's like they used to say ,have too many irons in the fire.We have so many things we have to do and no time to do what we want to or would like to.I don't think God wants us to be so busy there is no time for us or for our loved ones, but Satan loves it! Great poem Clara. It's so easy to forget to tell those closest to you how you feel about them. I think today we multitask so much that we don't make the time for others like we used to.
