5 signs your relationship is going bad

Updated on March 5, 2012

A sure way to tell your relationship is on its last limbs is if your partner has cheated on you. Mistakes happen, so it is possible to forgive your partner and have a healthy relationship if your partner has cheated on you only once. However, if the cheating is persistent and occurs more often than you'd like to admit, then your relationship could very well be on its way out. Cheating on a partner is a very serious issue and is very wrong. If your partner has cheated on you more than once or they continue to cheat, then it may be time to end the relationship.

Arguments that get physical

Arguments happen in every single relationship. No relationship is perfect and this is why arguing is not avoidable. It is actually considered normal to argue sometimes. However, if arguments happen way to often and the arguments get physical, then there could be a major problem in the relationship. If you and your partner find yourselves arguing often and it gets physical, then your relationship is probably on the way out. A relationship should never get to the point where it gets physical during an argument. A partner should not fear getting hit, thrown or physically abused during an argument or at any time in the relationship.

No communication

Your relationship could be going bad if there is a serious lack of communication. Communication is one of the main ingredients that make a relationship work. If you are your partner are barely speaking to one another, then there could be a major problem somewhere within the relationship. People get busy but there should still be a good amount of communication between you and your partner, even if one of you are extremely busy. When you start to feel like you and your partner barely talk anymore and you are not ok with it, then it may be time to reevaluate the relationship and consider ending it.

If you and your partner are constantly lying to one another, then it could be a major sign that your relationship is going bad. When you or your partner feel the need to lie, then it is not a good sign. If you or your partner lies to one another often, then it may be time to face the fact that the relationship has some serious issues within. It may be time to reevaluate the relationship and maybe even put an end to the relationship. A relationship is based on trust, among many other things, and if there is no trust and lies are being told, then the relationship will probably not last for a long time.

No intimacy

If you and your partner has little or no intimacy at all, then there could be a huge problem. Intimacy is one of the major things that make a relationship work. When intimacy suddenly stops and continues to stop for a long period of time, then this could be a sign that the relationship is going to go bad or it is already bad. If intimacy has stopped in your relationship, then try to talk to your partner and figure out why it has happen. If talking gets you nowhere, then it may be time to end the relationship for good.
