"Angel of God my Guardian Dear"

Updated on August 13, 2010

Dear Family and friends,

I know it has been a while since I brought you all up to date..and in some e-mail I received a funny saying..."I'd rather slide in yelling What a ride" and believe me Mom will do just that...she is the trooper of troopers...AND FOR ANYONE THAT THINKS SHE WON'T OUTLIVE MOST OF US...I HAVE A surprise for you...I believe she will...and in doing so she will spend all her money...

I say that in reference to how smart her and dad were to provide for their end of life, so as not to burden their children...they/she is still taking care of herself...and in a big way US. In reference to this, my honest suggestion to the younger one's, is to get "Long Term Care Insurance" whilst you are healthy and young.( unless you have money now) Because later it is way more expensive and once you have a set price they cannot raise it. Maybe 2012 will be the end, who knows? we are not in control...but being prepared is a lesson I have learned...late and maybe for me too late..but I can pass on what I have learned to the one's I love...and I love you all as Mom does.

Anyway I was so worried about her in a wheelchair and going back to the Home, thinking it would be a big adjustment, which she has made many of since her fall. As we walked in the front door the biggest smile came across her face that I have seen in a long time, and I must admit it felt like Home to me too. The people here are wonderful, the Administrator and the Head Nurse visited mom about 5 times whilst she was at the nursing home. and I could go on and on about the Nursing? home. At any rate she is in a wheelchair, though not to say with theraphy she won't improve... and by the way a special wheelchair is being built just to fit her, by the Social Security Dept. There are so many Angels amongst us, and yet people that make us so angry and sad.

My sister was here for 2 months (which I have told you before) and without her I would be in the nut house...things are great, well better then they seemed 3 months ago. Mom is a wonderful Lady and I am still learning from her spirit and her big heart, which I know she passes on to you all...May God Bless You and Keep you safe...God Bless from mom and me...:O) Hugs

Dear one, I too rode this journey with my mother it is very difficult. She once told me this---"God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers." Please hug her once for me too.
