Be An Acne Free Bride With These Effective Tips to Get Rid of Pimples and Acne Before Your Wedding Day

Updated on January 27, 2014

Acne and Wedding are indeed poles apart. They simply just don’t go together and I am sure all those girls who are getting married soon (but suffer from acne) will agree. I know how it feels to have acne just when your wedding day is fast approaching.

I had a horrible experience with it last year but thankfully timely and careful consideration of my skin care routine along with the diet and some natural remedies helped me get a glowing acne free skin on my wedding day. If you too are just like me then know just one thing- there will be countless advices given to you by your friends, relatives, neighbors as how you can quickly get rid of acne or even gifted some acne clearing products too!!

However you should always have a wise approach and not apply anything which comes across you. This ensures that you are not using in haste any of the acne products which might have reaction on your face or else cause any kind of irritation.

In this post, I am writing about some of the ways in which you get rid of acne fast so that you can get a glowing and acne free skin on your wedding day.

Note: You can also read my post on Homemade Acne Spot Treatment for Getting Rid of Dark Spots where i have discussed some of the natural methods for treating acne and pimples.

Your Wedding Skin Care Program Matters the Most

Well, I know this post is on acne and not on skin care but without mentioning a bit about skin care we cannot directly move on to acne itself.

This is so because if you as a bride is following a correct skin care regimen then chances are that you won’t suffer from acne.

So, to begin with- it is always best to start the wedding day skin care regime well before six months (please don’t wait for the last month).

This is important because in case you have used any new cosmetic and you suffer from allergy or skin irritation you must have ample amount of time at hand to get it treated. Don’t even think about going for experimenting with cosmetics during the last 2-3 months.

It has been dermatologically tested and contains sea whip coral extracts which reduces inflammation and redness

For all those working girls who don’t have the time for proper skin care I have just one advise for you- at least follow the basics of skin care to look your best and to avoid acne or pimples.

Begin with a good moisturizer whichnshould become a part of your daily routine- both during daytime and at night. This ensures that your skin remains hydrated. If you want to improve your skin texture then glycolic acid pads or peels should be opted for once a month.

If you are thinking of a skin treatment like Botox then you should do so at least 6 months before your wedding. You must also avoid doing hair removal treatments which you have never done before like laser treatment.

Opt for hair removing creams or waxing i.e. whatever you have been doing till now. Make sure you are sleeping well because that tends to remove half of your problems like dark circles, puffiness or acne. Go for a proper manicure and pedicure because you should never ignore your hands and feet.

How to Get Rid of Acne before Your Wedding Day

One of the prime reasons for acne is stress, anxiety and hormonal changes in the body. Beyond doubt, if it is your wedding then you are bound to be in stress or anxious.

This may be due to your wedding day preparations, making guests lists, picking up the unique wedding favors, your wedding dress and so on. Well the list is endless.

Though it is not possible to simply say Goodbye to all worries but still you should try to remain as calm and tension free as possible.

Some of the studies have shown that excessive caffeine intake can also trigger acne. So if you are a coffee addict, this is the time to put a big stop to your coffee overdose. (Hey till your wedding day I mean). You can substitute coffee with herbal teas which will keep overall fit and healthy too apart from preventing acne.

Just get rid of highly processed foods from your diet. You must include more of fiber rich diet and increase the intake of green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. This will not just give a beautiful glow to your skin but also keep it acne free.

Just a small tip- 4 months before my wedding day I have started taking juice of cucumber and mint on a daily basis. While mint is said to prevent acne and give you a fair complexion, cucumber brings glow on the face. Both of these are also great acne fighting foods.

You should always choose the right skin care products. There are countless products available in the market but choose only on the basis of reviews of the product and read down the ingredients too.

If you are still confused, its best to consult a good dermatologist who will give you the right products depending upon your skin type. Remember what works for one girl may not work for the other since we have different acne types and different skin tones too.
