Being more than friends is better than picking someone up

Updated on October 14, 2014

They say that the best relationships are the ones that start off as friendships. Some people want that and other people have a time limit when it comes to love.

So many people turn to online dating and bars to meet people. A time limit starts. If someone hasn't made a move after a certain point you have to forget all about that other person. That's not true.

It's great going on a date with someone but nothing is better than being in a relationship with the person who you known for years. Relationships should be about being each other's best friends. You could tell each other everything and are there for each other when the other person needs you. You also know each other's flaws and you feel comfortable with that person than with a total stranger.

When you go out with someone new you can be on edge if you have insecurity problems. If you were cheated on in the past you may think that this new person will cheat on you too. You have no idea who this person is so you are worrying.

You also do not know about this person's character. Of course trust is important in a relationship but some people mistrust a lot of people due to what they have experienced in the past. The way to gain trust is to get to know each other.

Go out and meet people but don't cross someone off the list because you are not with them yet. It is all about timing and if you are meant to be it will happen. Going on a date with your best friend is way better than going on a date with a total stranger.
