For My Better Half

Updated on July 6, 2013

Nobody is perfect... until you fall in love.

Just wanted to share the first poem a man has ever written for his better half. I really appreciate the effort that this sweet guy did for the one he loves so much.

He doesn't write poems or any short stories especially about love; so I guess that this word of love comes deep inside his heart to show his appreciation for the love he felt not only on action but on words. Love really moves in mysterious ways.

I decided to publish this poem. I know that he deserves this and he’ll be thrilled to know that finally, he can see his first poem on web.

Well, congratulations, Mr. Gorgeous.

Love kept inside
Love kept inside

Because of 14th day of December
I am so grateful my dear
For proving to me the sincerity
Of your words with honesty.

But I would like to ask for apology
For I maybe a hindrance to your way
I am simply telling what is in me
To let you know what I have today.

Well, you can have it, as you may say
Without even telling me
But because you want to be true
You admitted before me very honestly.

With the words I have spoken
Let it be your guide in every action
With hope that you will treasure
The love that is planted to blossom forever.

But when time comes that you need someone
Maybe because of your desire as human
Please do it with gentleness, as a breeze
That from day to day, I may not even notice.

But for the meantime, I am so grateful
For the world is so wonderful
Despite of the uncertainties of everyday
Still it breathe of beauty for me.

And now, how I wish and pray
That this love be our source of life everyday
Holding hands together so tightly
As we, the twin hearts, ventures our every day.

Thank you for this very sweet poem, my dear. I will always love you.

Tobusiness, I appreciate your comment. They still have a long way to go...I just wish that they end up together. Their love is so much complicated.

Love is so amazing, it brings even giants to their knees. I'm sure your friend's wife will be very proud of him. I particularly love the last verse.
