Bookmark Wedding Favors
One way you can show your appreciation to your wedding guests is to give them wedding favors to take home. There are so many nice options to choose from. If you or your future husband are avid readers or university students, it might be a nice idea to give out bookmark favors.
You might also like to pair them with centerpieces that are composed of books, pens, eyeglasses, and other reading material.
Here are some ideas to get you thinking about the style of your bookmarks. But the options are limited only by your imagination.
What do you think about bookmark favors?
Save the Date Bookmarks
Maybe you're looking for another spot to incorporate bookmarks. Well, here is a great idea! You can have bookmarks printed prior to your wedding to send out as “Save The Date” cards.
Insert them in an envelope and mail them to your guests so that they are sure to remember what day your wedding is planned for.
Save the Date Bookmarks
Many brides will choose cross bookmarks to honor their religious background and the solemnity of the ceremony. There are many lovely choices from the very ornate to the simpler.

The Seed Bookmark
Many companies today are offering bookmarks that actually have seeds embedded in them. After your guest has used the bookmark, they can plant the whole thing. There is also another version of the seed idea where the envelope it comes in is laced with sees and the bookmark is kept. Either way, it’s a green and interesting idea.
Many options abound when you add a photo to a bookmark. You can make them yourself with a home printer and laminate them. That way you can write a special note to your guests and put them on their take-home wedding gifts. Or, you can order them pre-made and you just slip in a photo.

DIY Tips on Making Bookmarks
Make Your Own
There are so many custom made bookmarks available today that you can pretty much find any design you’re looking for. But if you want to really add a special touch, why not make your own? You simply need good quality card stock or watercolor paper. If you have a friend who is an artist, have him paint you a few strokes of color (or you can do it yourself) and then add calligraphy with your new monogram or a bible verse or quote you’re fond of.
You can attach a fancy ribbon to match your colors or you can do a simple twist of raffia. Get as wild as you like. Adhere vintage buttons or if you’re into fashion, make the whole bookmark out of a zipper. Tie on bells, baubles or crystal beads. Invite friends and family over to help you make them. They’ll feel included and will be proud when they see their handiwork on the tables at the reception.
