Do not depend on others for what only God can give...
The price to pay may seem petty, but the damages are far expensive,
I understand the need for companionship, the fact that someone's there,
To talk, to listen, to give attention, someone you 'believe' actually cares.
I tend to run to others when something goes awry,
This deception and lack of trust always lead my heart astray,
The false pretence of thinking these people actually care...
It's not that they don't really, but they can't always be there.
These people have a life of their own and maybe a problem or two,
They probably in need of someone to be there for them too...
And at other times when you are talking and you just about to hit the spot,
They're like, "Hold that thought for a moment, I will call you back."
I don't know about you really, but I can only talk for me,
That really hurts me dearly and I would no longer talk, maybe...
But looking at it, I do not have a right to be upset!
It's not their responsibility to care about me, how dear I make a threat?
Human relationships are good I'm not saying that it's not,
It just has a place of its own... but, in this case, I forgot!
God is Omnipresent and Sovereign in all his ways...
He sees the tears before they fall, He never cease to amaze.
What happens when all others are gone and you can't find anyone to care?
Will you declare it's hopeless with unending rivers of tears?
It's sad and good to learn from the mistakes we all make in life,
Personally I hope this lesson will blossom richly over strife.
