Competing With Others

Updated on November 2, 2011

In today's times girls often compete with other girls. It can most likely occur in relastionships. Society puts pressure on us to look a certain way.

We look at a magazine or watch TV and see a celebrity or model who is super thin and think that that's the only way that guys will look at us.

I'm not saying to go out and pig out on food. I'm saying that we should accept ourselves for who we are. We have to stop competing with other girls and focusing on what we don't have and start focusing on our qualities that make us an amazing person.

God made each of us different. He made us look different and put a special talent in our heart.

Today look in the mirror and list what you find beautiful about yourselves. Those girls in the magazines and on tv aren't real. They are photoshoped and have proffessionals making them look that way.

When you like a guy don't feel the need to compete with other girls. Remind yourself that if he wants to be with you he has to like you for who you are. Otherwise he's not worth it. Never change for anyone and don't get down on yourself when you see a pretty girl. You have something amazing inside of you and everyone is beautiful in their own special way.

Life is short, stop competing with others and gain confidence by knowing that you are an amazing and beautiful person.
