Come, my Beloved, Come!

Dance with me, beneath the willow in the twilight hours,

Let the green vines swing to our rhythms;

The zephyrs whistle to our songs.

Let Your ethereal melody resonate,

Through a joyfully weeping heart; and

May the radiant moon visit, to illuminate our path.

Behold! The rocket flies speedily through the azure sky,

Thus leaving a trail of sparkling white.

So let me chase You,

And may the pain and trials

borne from this ceaseless longing,

Be a welcome token of my undying love.

Insufferable is my separation-sorrow!

Devoid of peace, I reach out to You, my Dearest,

Oh precious repository of the Soul!

Sweet Ecstasy, how can I quench this

Fiery-attachment-furnace, lurking

within the veiled chambers of my searching heart?

As the child emerges triumphantly from the womb,

To a joyful cradle in its mothers arms,

So let me hold You!

Let my anguish and aspirations,

Merge into the fullness of our supernal joy.

Beloved, even though an untended light may flicker,

When fixed it is suddenly aglow again;

A soil may seem infertile,

Until it is replenished by the gardener’s magic touch.

So, too, Oh Queen of the eternal,

Hold my tormented gaze with Your beauty;

Lash me with the fragrance of your breath,

And grant me sanctuary in Your raiment’s glow.

Let my stormy rage subside in the depth of your unspoken Love,

And grant me Peace.
