Samuel Smiles wrote:

Sow a thought and you will reap an act.
Sow an act, you will reap a habit.
Sow a habit, you will reap a personality.
Sow a character, you will reap a destiny.

In this article I present the twelve habits that you must sow to reap the happiness and success in your life.

Seek Happiness Inside You And Be Happy

Happiness is a state of mind determined by you, if you want to be happy just have to decide how. It is common for people to teach them to be unhappy, it means to put your mood on things that you do not control, for example, the behavior of the leaders, friends, economic situation, etc., General behavior of the environment and of what surrounds us does not undergo our control. So when these things do not meet the expectations of the people, they are unhappy. The secret of happiness is to put our mood on things that we can control our like actions, behaviour, efforts, abilities, etc., only then we can get permanent happiness, all that we control is called our inner world.

Smile

Do a physical gesture to smile to cause favorable and immediate result on your mood effects as smile inspires the deepest feelings of love, joy and happiness. Studies show that each time a person generates smile (even if an artificial one), it sends a small discharge of chemicals throughout the body, stabilizing the nervous system and improving the functioning of the brain and ultimately causing feelings of well-being in people.

"It is easier to get what you want with a smile than with the tip of the sword."

William Shakespeare

Be Positive

Being positive is subject to the way we see the world, face situations and hopefully the future. A positive person sees opportunities in the world, think that you will get positive results facing situations and hopes that the future holds good, not bad things.

A negative person sees threats in the world, faces waiting situations causing damage; that is, you lose the war before having fought and hopes for the future only negative things.

The question is what suits us better, the answer is obvious, positive people are more likely to succeed than negative people. Always think and act positively.

"Optimism is the faith that leads to success. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."

Helen Keller

Identify Your Vocation And Undertake Projects That Goes With It

The best way to feel good and be successful in the work you do, is to develop the activity you feel you are good at and also enjoy in what is known as a vocation.

Many people live behind their vocation, they never paid attention to this as life circumstances today are developing different activities they do not feel at ease, representing work they do for duty.

♫ ♫ ♫ ... I hope to find my place,
♫ ♫ ♫ so my life will fall in place...

The solution to this problem is to identify your vocation and undertake projects that are related to it.

Dare to not be unhappy all your life.

Set A Goal, Focus All Your Efforts Into It And Make Eery Effort To Reach It

Generally many people set objectives and then are distressed because they can not bring into life any. The explanation is that they scatter all their efforts and resources, they want to do everything and in the end they achieve nothing.

To avoid falling into this error is better to set a target and concentrate on it . But it is not enough to have drawn up a goal. In order to succeed you must accompany your aim with activities achieve it. You must not fall into the network sin dreams, you must not be the one who plotted a target but do nothing to achieve it, you must not be one of those many dreamers who wonder why they get nothing.

The other mistake is to do things without having a goal, in this case you will not reach any results because you do not direct your efforts towards an end. Draw a plan and defend your purposes.

Be Ambitious

Many people think they have many ambitious goals to be raised: a home, a job, a good job, a nice car but at the end they get nothing.

The ambition is not to be drawn by many targets but the target value itself, represented by the goal, which is the result to be achieved in order to succeed.

Being ambitious means drawn a great result, which should be measured in terms of the imbalance generated between what resource you have and what you want to achieve; for example, I have 10 soles and want to reach 10,000 suns, the bigger the gap, the more ambitious you will.

Be Honest

Your safety is in your integrity, as you commit to something and your commitment responds with actions that will increase your security.

Integrity is having coherence between what one says, thinks and does.

If you are not consistent you lose internal security; that is, you stop believing in yourself, which will weaken you and will not allow you to achieve your goals.

If you have integrity, this will increase your internal security and transform into the strength which will allow you to achieve your goals.

Do Not Give Up, Persevere To Get What You Want

Things are not easy, take your time. In the process of rising you may have fallen; the secret to success is not to stop, to persevere and get up.

"Our greatest glory is not in never having fallen, but in rising every time we fall."

Oliver Goldsmith

People who have successfully followed this path acheived great results; those who did not - lose their heart in the attempt.

Learn On Your Falls

The fact of failure does not mean you failed. Failure must be taken only as a losing battle, while you are living you never lost the war, only this battle; therefore you have to consider failure as a learning experience for use in the next battle.

"Failure is a great opportunity to begin again more intelligently."

Henry Ford

Use The Obvious Technology

Please do not discover gunpowder. If someone has already invented a way to get something, use it.

The technology of the obvious is to imitate the good and then overcome it. It is advisable and the best place is in the first stage to imitate, then look over it. That will save time on the road to success.

Let Your Principles Be Your Boss

In order not to go wrong in life, let your principles be your boss. That means when you have to decide between two or more alternatives, each is checked against your principles.

The principles are the values that humanity has: honesty, justice, sincerity, responsibility, love of neighbor, treatment toward others, etc., that have worked across time and space and have protected man from the destruction and misery.

Normally these principles are religious and philosophical knowledge as a common ground, it's advisable to know them and practice them.

Act With Maturity

Balance the courage you have to defend your positions and to empathy for not harming others. Maturity is that balance.
