Cute Gift Ideas For Her

Updated on August 20, 2011

Gift Ideas For You Lady

You don't have to be overly romantic to be able to come up with cute and spontaneous gifts for her. You also don't need to draw from your retirement account to be able to afford one, either. Sometimes it's better to go for cute and funny rather than a bed of roses with candles lit. It's been over done, and you need to stand out to her.

Glass Rose

Instead of buying flowers that will eventually die, or silk roses that are just boring, try to go with something a bit prettier that she won't expect. Glass roses are beautiful, and also last forever, so long as she doesn't drop them. Instead of a dozen roses, go with a single glass rose. They are similarly priced, and extremely romantic. Whether it's Christmas, her birthday, Valentine's Day, or just because you want to show her you care, this gift always brings a smile.

A Jewelry Tree

If you're significant other has a ton of jewelry, she's gonna want some place to put it. Surely she has a box, but if she's really into it and has a lot, she's going to want to put it on display. You should really be sure that she has a lot of necklaces and rings, though, as it's kind of pointless to buy someplace to put jewelry when she has none.

Better yet, a great combination would be to buy her some sort of necklace, earring, etc. and double up the gift.

Something Quirky

This goes solely based on her personality. If she's kind of a dork, she's going to want a quirky gift. Here's a cheap idea- buy a couple of nerf guns, really cheap ones. When she's at work (if you live together) load the gun on a counter and leave a note saying "This is your gun. It's loaded. I have one too, and you're being hunted. Happy Birthday!" When she comes home, she'll think it's cute and spontaneous and it will stand out a lot more than a gift you buy. I've done this once, and it turned out extremely well, but it's best to buy some sort of backup gift so she doesn't think you couldn't afford a present or just ran out of ideas. However, you can always go cheap on the backup present, just make sure it's something she'd like.

And All Day Pamper Retreat

Women LOVE to be pampered, no matter what. Find a way to cater to her every need, and she'll love it. Back massages are a great idea, if you're any good. If not, try bubble baths, scented candles, dim lights, breakfast in bed. You can take her to the beach at night- especially if there is a storm coming in off of the lake, it's one of the most magical and romantic things you'll ever see. Just find a way to ease the stress of her every day life.

If you can afford it, send her to get a professional massage, especially if your massages suck. Or send her to get her nails done. Do not be shy! One of the problems with us men is that we're so hard headed and feel as though that if we're romantic- we're corny. Especially you young guys. Look- even if it is corny, she'll like corny. Corny is cute. If you're nervous, it can be cute, just don't be too nervous.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times- your gift does not have to be expensive. It will not make or break your relationship. If you want to get her favorite movie and have a movie night, do it. If you want to go out to the theater, do it. If you have a lot of pictures and want to create a scrapbook, do it. The biggest mistake you can do is not do anything. Make sure you at least put forth effort, and tell her how much she means to you. That last part should be done daily.
