Dinner at GiGi's Restaurant in Philadelphia
Memories of our Date Night
Dinner and A Movie For Our Date Night
I have been married to my husband Walker, for more than twenty five years. We fervently believe that date nights have been vital for our longevity. To put on that form fitting dress, with a nice pair of heels, specifically for his eyes only, adds to the enchantment of the evening. With great anticipation, excitement builds as though this was our first date. Walker, always showers and get dressed before me, while I patiently wait downstairs. We plan things this way, so that when he walks into the room, I can seriously tell him how good he looks. I then veer off to prepare for our date as Walker, patiently awaits my arrival. It is vital that I look good as well, so that his compliments will be genuine and loving. With great anticipation and excitement, we look forward to our #date nights.
On our last date, we went to #GiGi's restaurant located at 319 Market Street, center city, #Philadelphia. This quaint little spot was perfect for a private night out. Upon our arrival, I noticed a few regulars sitting at the bar. They seem to be very familiar with the bartender and the servers. This was a good sign because they also ordered food. Walker and I sat at a quite little table in the back, so that we could have some privacy. In that way, we could hold hands, share our food with each other and be in dating bliss. I was thankful that we received a gift card for GiGi's from my little brother Don and his wife Joyce, as a anniversary gift.
It was our first time at this restaurant so our experience was intriguing. We started our dinner with delicious Hampton iced teas which had a better flavor than a Long Island iced tea. For our appetizers, we had jerk chicken skewers, which were spicy and delicious. We also had a crock of french onion soup, which also had its own unique and seductive taste. For entrees, Walker and I both had coffee rubbed rib eye steaks, which had a robust flavor. Our sides included a #Greek salad, with spinach, fresh walnuts, raisins, crumbled blue cheese, grapes and a tinge of dressing. We finalized our meal with an oreo mouse cake for desert that was absolutely delicious. We thanked our waitress, Kelsey Granahan, for making our date night so spectacular. Our chefs for the evening were, Carver and Dave. GiGi's restaurant is managed by Tommy Brower and has been in business for more than five years. Walker and I will be returning for another date night at this perfect little location. The prices were reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious.
After an excellent meal, we held hands tightly as we walked back to our automobile. We pondered carefully what movie we wanted to attend. Once we arrived at the theater, Walker and I decided to see, #Tom Cruise's new Mission Impossible movie entitled, #Ghost Protocol. The alliance of characters, beautiful locations and fancy cars captivated our attention throughout the film. The movie depicted Tom Cruise making mistakes as a secret agent and learning from them, in order to get the job done. My date and I agreed that it was a nice way to end our evening.
The unity of man and wife is truly a gift from our wonderful Heavenly Father, #Jehovah. Marriage is arduous but rewarding. Your spouse is an ally and we must work at it, in order for the marriage to survive. Date nights reminds the individuals to keep that excitement within their relationship. We must cherish our marriage because it is suppose to be forever. Investing time and energy to make your it work is vital. Date night allows us to remember why we fell in love with our mate. Dinner and a movie, may not be your concept of a date night. Whatever you decide, try to be creative and loving. After all, our marriage is worth it.
