Dating: Make Each Date As If It Were Your Last
Enjoy Every Date
Think about it. If you felt that each and every time you went out on a date it would be your last, wouldn't you really try and have some fun? I know. You do try and have fun when you go out, but do you do all of the things that you've thought of in the past? I mean is there at point at which you feel alive while you're out?
All of this could be about choosing different things to do when you do emerge from your nest. If you just don't know what you'd do if you really had a choice, (and you do), then you better start thinking. Start day dreaming. Realize that you don't know just how long you'll be able to do what you want to do. Then set things up and just do them.
Doing new and different things can be a great way to approach someone for a date. Don't you think it would be interesting if someone came up and asked you to go hot air ballooning? How about sky diving? Deep sea fishing? Spelunking? Skiing in your swim suit? Mountain climbing? Hang gliding? Horseback riding on the beach? Think of anything you can. Be adventurous.
Of course it would probably be a good idea if you tried these things first before inviting someone to go along. What if you were afraid? Then you wouldn't be able to encourage anyone else to try something new, would you? The only reason you wouldn't try it first is if you both want to scare the whatever out of each other at the same time. You know, have something to tell the grandchildren.
You might wonder how you go about finding someone adventurous enough to try different things with you, but that's what online dating is for. The break it down for you. All you have to do is put yourself in the category of people that do these things. If you don't want to go this way try joining clubs that specifically focus on what it is you want to do.
It is important to remember that while you and your date are out enjoying these activities you include humor, and a certain playfulness or you won't really get to know the person very well. This is what dating is all about, right? It's good to see a date in a variety of situations, especially if you want to hold onto the relationship. On "Sex and the City," one time Charlotte couldn't date a guy after seeing him in the kitchen cooking when a mouse ran up and sent him climbing on the counter.
It is so different if you think that you'll never have the opportunity to see someone for a date again. You just enjoy it more. The weather will never be the same. You won't be rocking the outfit you're wearing. The people you meet won't be the same. Enjoy every moment of a date. You won't regret it.
