Secret Dating Confidence Tips

Updated on November 7, 2013

When it comes to dating there isn’t anything more attractive in a man or woman than confidence. You have probably met someone before, who just has a certain something that makes them more attractive, than one would expect. Something in how they carry themselves, how they speak and act.

Much of this is tied into their sense of self worth, how they see the world and themselves in it.

Fortunately there are some ways to help you find your dating confidence and we have some tips to help you with it.

Don’t fake it
You can’t really fake confidence. Trying to find it through drugs and alcohol is pointless. You have to look inside yourself to find real confidence.

Write it down: Write down the things that you like about your self and your characteristics which others admire. Put the list on your fridge or next to your bed and read it periodically. This reinforces your individual value.
Perform a random act of kindness: Help someone with something that they can’t do for themselves. This doesn’t just make you feel better about yourself. It also reminds you of your special and valuable abilities.
Try something new and difficult: Go skydiving, run a marathon, write a book just do something hard and rewarding. Succeeding at a difficult activity really juices up your self confidence and makes you feel great.
Give a firm handshake: When you greet someone, give them a firm handshake and look them straight in the eye. Many people don’t trust those who don’t do this well. Both guys and girls need to learn how to give a proper handshake.

While doing nothing and being the type of person to whom things happen makes your feel powerless and down. Being the kind of guy who makes things happen, will make you feel confident and in control of your own destiny.

Look good feel good

A big part of our confidence lies in how we look. Many people I know could do much better on the dating seen if they put some more time into dressing and grooming properly.

Dressing the part: There are a lot of magazines and books on what looks good on you. Do some research, before you go to the shops. You might consider taking one of your friends who has a keen sense of fashion, with you. If that’s not possible, ask a stranger in the shop, whether an outfit looks good on you. Don’t ask the staff, they lie. If you don’t have much cash go to a discount store, you can do wonders with a little money, if you are willing to spend the time to shop around.

Makeup: With makeup my belief is: more is less is more. Makeup should help bring out your inner beauty. Again, lots of books and magazines that can help you with this.

Work out: Get 30 minutes of cardio exercise 4-5 times a week. This can do wonders for your whole body. This dating confidence tip can help those of us with weight problems.

Although I am out of the dating scene I found this an interesting insight into what troubles people who are, the advice is good and is relevant in a general relationship sense also.
