What do you think of fairytale weddings?

Storybook Wedding

Every bride wants their wedding to be a day right out of a princess movie. This includes lots of beautiful details, including sparkles, shimmer and elegance.

For your wedding, you’ll also want to include fairytale wedding favors for the guests that remind them of just how picturesque your day was.

Think Glitter

Everything that glitters is fair game at a fairytale wedding. You can find magic wands in toy stores that are miniature sized and practically dripping with glitter. They’d look perfect at the reception tables. You can also find oversized diamond rings that you can knot the napkins through, so they’ll double as napkin holders and wedding favors. Some rings even come as keychains or paperweights, so they’re useful and decorative.

If you can’t find the shiny or glittery object you want, why not make it yourself? You can buy inexpensive photo frames in heart shapes, paint them with glue and dip in glitter. Stick a cute photo of you and your fiancé in it and you’re ready to go. You really can't go wrong with glitter as one of your main wedding fairytale accessories.

The Glass Slipper

Favor companies have caught on that brides want dreamy favors at their tables. Now you can buy “glass” slippers just like Cinderella’s that are darling at each place setting. Some even light up! You can also get glass slipper decorated cookies frosted in white, and candles where the whole shoe is a 3-dimensional slipper. You can buy plastic glass slippers in bulk and fill them with candy for the guests, and they even come in tints of blue and pink. So cute!

Budget Bride’s Guide to a Fairytale Wedding

The Carriage

Little carriages like the type that conveyed Cinderella to the ball are now available as favors as well. Some are candle holders while others are place card holders or cookies shaped as fairytale carriages.

You can find a good many beautiful choices on this carriage theme that will look absolutely stunning on your guest tables, and will pull your theme together wonderfully.

Ah, what bride hasn’t fallen in love with the romantic rose? You can find many rose-shaped favors, from place card holders to frames and candles to candies. But you might want to splurge—it is your fairytale day after all—and make tiny bouquets of miniature roses for each place setting. You can tie them in sheer glittery ribbon. Just make sure if they are live you make them the day before and keep them in water for freshness.

You can also opt for craft store roses that will last forever. Either way, a delicate rose bouquet is always a good idea!

Which 'tiny gown' idea to you like best?

Tiny Gowns

You can find gown replicas in everything from cookies to salt and pepper shakers. Brownie pops, and cake pop gifts even come dressed as bride and groom. Along with these dessert gifts, you can also find gown bookmarks and candles shaped as a fully-fashioned gown.

Your guests will love the reminder of your gown when they look at their favors, unless of course they eat them first!

A Castle on Every Table

For a fairytale wedding, it is only natural to incorporate a castle motif into your favors and wedding day decor. You can find castles on votives, bookmarks, key chains and as 3-dimensional candles and cookies.

Wherever you choose to use a castle, it will remind everyone of how regal and elegant your wedding was. These are practical as well, as your guests can use them well after the wedding.

Fairytale Wedding Favor Ideas

The Frog Prince

If you and your fiancé have a sense of humor about the fairytale theme, why not include the frog prince from the fairytale as your favor? There are adorable candles and cookie favors available with a smiling frog in a crown ready for his kiss from his beloved princess. Show everyone that you have found your prince from among the frogs. It’s a cute way to keep the theme going!

I would say that to pull off a fairytale wedding, you'd really have to think hard about what you want to have and what things would be a little overboard. But either way, you definitely have to have a castle.

Nice ideas for a fairytale wedding! It's every girl's dream to have one -- doubt if the girls would find it cheesy. But yeah I guess it would take some effort to get the guys to agree!
