Lesbian Online Dating Services
If you are looking for lesbian online dating services or gay dating sites (Gay Dating Sites Guide has a lot of info) you have a lot of options to choose from. Not only can you find lesbian singles from sites specifically catering to the lesbian population (gay.com, lesbiandatingpersonals.com, and www.curiouslove.com), you can also find them on the major dating sites including, but not limited to, eHarmony.com, OkCupid.com, PlentyofFish.com, Lavalife.com, Match.com, and Yahoo! Personals. One site, which is recommended for Lesbian singles is lesbotronic.com.
When you are browsing the main sites (such as OkCupid.com) simply say that you are a female seeking a female or a woman seeking a woman. Although a lot of the profiles will be for females who are looking for a female friend, there will also be a lot of profiles for women who are looking for lesbian singles. Although the major sites don’t advertise themselves as sites specifically for lesbians, there are a lot of single women out there! I did a sample search with both Yahoo Personals! and PlentyofFish.com and found that both gave a lot of lesbian profiles. When you sort by women looking for women you’re going to have to manually for through each one because the profiles of women who are just looking for a female friend are mixed in there.
With any one of the lesbian online dating services, you are going to have to create a winning profile. They say a picture says a thousand words. Take a picture of yourself and make sure that it is who you look like in real life. Trust me, you’d rather get fewer clicks on your profile and have an honest picture than a fake picture and get hundreds of clicks. Other than creating an honest profile picture, make sure that your description is positive (who wants to date a Negative Nancy?) and unique (don’t go for the generic: I love to have fun…).
The best dates are usually the most simple. This would include a picnic, movie, theme park, ice skating, flying a kite, a trip to the zoo, museum, or the beach.
