How possibly one can treat this touching beauty as a reproductive structure?
How possibly one can treat this touching beauty as a reproductive structure?

Flowers, a reproductive factory for plants.

Everything on the Earth has its purpose. Since I am going to talk here about flowers, I will state the main purpose of a flower.

Flowers, as a matter of fact, are nothing but a reproductive factory for certain plants. Yes, a flower, a blooming miracle of nature which inspired thousands of poets, spoke language of love for millions of men and pampered the eyes of billions of women is just a reproductive structure found in flowering plants. The biological function of a flower is to facilitate the union of male sperm with female ovum in order to produce seeds.

From botanic lessons we remember that the process starts with pollination, then goes fertilization, that leads to the formation and dispersal of the seeds. For the higher plants, seeds serve as the primary means by which “representatives” are dispersed across the landscape.

Flowers sound so boring if you think about them just as the reproductive organs of flowering plants. Let the scientist dealing with Botanic treat flowers this way.

For us, romantic and loving people, flowers are and always will be admired and used to beautify our environment and, to express our feelings.

Flowers ordered and sent online from abroad is the best surprise you can ever think about.

For centuries people are decorating their special occasions with flowers, sending flowers as gifts, as signs of gratitude or appreciation. With introduction of Internet into our lives ordering and sending flowers became as easy as counting “one-two-three” (of course, with certain precautions for shopping online). Shopping for flowers online may become frustrating, because there is an endless choice of opportunities and besides being time consuming, it will make you feel lost and confused. Where to order flowers, which flowers to order for different occasions, how to know if you can trust this or that florist…. Then, what if a person for whom you want to send flowers lives a little bit far away, even not in a different town, but in a different country, or even on a different continent?

This is the biggest surprise and unexpected joy, when here you are, on your birthday or your anniversary day and you get a call from a local flower shop… And a florist wants to verify your address because you have flower delivery from…. Oh My God! From your friend (or relative) who lives far, far away. In another country, another continent! Or even from your spouse who happened to be away on a business trip on this important day!

But how do you know from what florist in the area to order, whom to trust? Unless you have an experience or at least if you read some reviews online. We used to order flower delivery from FTD flower experts online for our friends and family who live abroad. Though their service and flowers are excellent, they somewhat lack personal touch, personal readiness to adjust to your circumstances. Sometimes it is just easier to go with smaller florists. Sometimes you are even able to get a home-type service with smaller florists. And the prices are just right.

Tango Flowers is the right place to order if you are sending flowers in Auckland, New Zealand

I want to share my happy experience in ordering flowers online for our friends in New Zealand. We have very close friends yet from Russia who live now in Auckland, New Zealand. They have a very special occasion on Valentine day. It is their wedding anniversary and also a birthday of their youngest daughter. As you imagine, Valentine day flowers delivery is a hectic time, especially if you procrastinate and don’t place your order beforehand. I will not describe here the whole ordeal we went through to find a florist in Auckland, New Zealand who would be able to deliver flowers to our friends in time for the occasion.

I will just say that we were lucky to find Tango flowers and its sweet and friendly owners, who not only answered our desperate e-mail (and they answered it in a very personal and reassuring manner), but also squeezed our order in this busy day of flowers delivery. Don’t get it wrong, they were extremely overbooked that day (as each and every florist in the area), but it was what you call, personal approach to a customer needs.

No need to say that now we are their regular customers. Our friends became their customers too. On that valentine day Tango Flowers delivered to our friends unbelievably fresh and beautifully designed flowers- a bouquet (or rather, a composition) of red roses for Valentine day, a composition of colorful tulips and decorative “all-kinds-of-stuff” for their anniversary, and a nice touching small bunch of flowers (that looked like a cuddly something) for a little girl’s birthday. Our friends were so happy with their service and the design of flowers, that they placed an order with Tango Flowers for their elder daughter's wedding.

Flowers provide several important foods and spices

Flower vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower and artichoke. The most expensive spice, saffron, consists of dried stigmas of a crocus. Other flower spices are cloves and capers. Hops flowers are used to flavor beer. Marigold flowers are fed to chickens to give their egg yolks a golden yellow color. Dandelion flowers are often made into wine.

Flowers can also be made into herbal teas. Dried flowers such as chrysanthemum, rose, jasmine, and chamomile are infused into tea both for their fragrance and medical properties.

Did you know?...

Red roses are given as a symbol of love, beauty, and passion.

Poppies are a symbol of consolation in time of death. In some countries red poppies are worn to commemorate soldiers who have died in times of war.

Irises/Lilies are used in burials as a symbol referring to "resurrection/life". It is also associated with stars (sun) and its petals blooming/shining.

Daisies are symbols of innocence.

Gladioli symbolize strength and moral integrity.

Narcissus/Daffodil symbolize rebirth and new beginnings
