Intro ~ Flowers and Love ~ Love, Love, Love . . . It Is all About Love

This particular Hub will address those gorgeous flowers meaning love, as well as incorporating trilinea and haiku poetry along the way.

Did you know that each flower has its own meaning? I really started to think on this when I wanted to send a friend flowers. Whatever the occasion, it is suggested that one choose the flowers that will most appropriately convey your sentiments. A natural and beautiful way to express your love to others is to send flowers.

Who does not love flowers? As for me, I love all flowers. I love receiving flowers of course. I love sending and giving flowers. I love seeing flowers growing in a garden or anywhere for that matter.

Are you in love? If so, you may want to pay close attention as to specifically what each flower means as relates to love, which are written in either trilinia or haiku poetry forms.

As you will note, many of these flowers have more than one meaning, other than just some form of love.

Regardless of what the meanings of flowers are, one cannot help but to be in awe of the sheer beauty all around us. I hope you enjoy the photographs contained in this Hub, which will attest to the exquisite beauty that is all around us on this earth. Sometimes we may just need to stop and open our eyes to take it all in, and in doing so, enjoy the magnitude of such beauty, found really in just one delicate little flower.

Please enjoy!

One of the Most Famous Quotes About a Rose

One of the most famous quotations about a rose is, "A rose is a rose is a rose." Gertrude Stein wrote this sentence as part of a poem, Sacred Emily, in 1913, which was published in a book, Geography and Plays in 1922.

Originally, the quotation was, "Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose." In other words, the meaning being that things are what they are.

Conclusion

I know I am not able to speak for all other women, but I do love all flowers, regardless of their meanings! If this is true for all women, then men, please do not sweat this stuff by concentrating on the meanings of the flowers you send.

Of course, many of these flowers would not be sent in an arrangement to someone, but are grown and stand in their own beauty in His creation, such as the magnificent Southern Magnolia! It is truly something for the eye to behold!

Another example is the Dogwood, which to me holds a special place in my heart as my childhood home's backyard was filled with the most beautiful Dogwood trees ever. They must have been growing there forever as I have never, to this day, seen any so huge. However, Dogwood's are understory trees, which do grow under taller trees. Well, at least in the eyes of a child, they seemed so very large. I remember how much I loved just sitting in my backyard in awe of such floral wonderment.

If you know of any flowers that are not listed here have the meaning of love, it would be so nice if you would share when commenting. Also, if you desire, it would be interesting to know what flower and what meaning you love the most. It may be that you love one flower and love another flower's meaning.

Thank you for taking the time to read this Hub of the sheer beauty of flowers as relates to those flowers meaning love, written in trilinia and haiku poetry forms.

Well Faith I just don't say this to anyone here at the Hub - but as a flower you are still the prettiest girl I've ever seen .

And this is one beautiful hub presentation so worthy of hall of fame status here at the Louvre Hub wall of fame and also to be posted and linked on my FB page for all to see and read - this is truly art in the making and thank you for allowing us to see this labor of love from you.

My mum and I cultivated the Ingrid Bergman flower in our secret garden together when she was alive and when she died in 2004 and I never planted any flowers again.

Sending our love and respects to you from Colin and his cat crew Little Miss Tiffy and Mister Gabriel at lake erie time ontario canada 6:30pm during a heat wave here but I've been keeping cool by jumping into the lake literally lol lol - I hope sincerely though your summer has been healthy and happy

What a lovely thing to share about your mum and cultivating the Ingrid Bergman flower, the very first one on this hub! Thank you for sharing those special moments with your mum in your secret garden when she was alive. Your comment touched my heart, please know.

Ah, yes, please take a nice cool dip in the lake and cool off dear one, literally. lol

Believe it or not, it has been a bit cool for July here in southern USA! It has been raining for a month it seems.

Yes, dearest Colin, my summer has been a busy, health and happy summer so far.

Sending hugs to you, Miss Tiffy and Mr. Gabriel from southern USA,

So glad to see you here now! Well, I unpublished and made additions of the poetry, then republished, so there you go. It was there and then it was gone, and now here it is again. LOL

Wow, thank you for leaving such generous comments sweet friend.

I understand about reducing one's time on HP, as I have not been able to write as much here lately, but still here! I am glad you will still be around. You have always been such a faithful follower, great writer and beautiful person.

Hello Faith. What amazing imagery. The creative process for assembling and sharing a wealth of beauty and wisdom within poem offers such a delight. I believe Sir Philip Sydney would be proud. I haven't any to add regarding flowers and their meanings. However, learning this a bit back and seeing much more added to here I smile with glee. I at times use floriography for code words for secret messages with fiction works. Especially adding intrigue with spy thrillers and such. The "Shining Through" theme with Michael Douglas and Melanie Griffith. Makes for fun authoring a story.

Thanks for such a delight and wonder . . . key elements danced with the keyboard and sent by pony express to all the neighboring lands.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment, and mentioning about all the hard work, as it did take a good bit of time to put it all together, so I appreciate you writing such. After I started, I did not realize initially just how many flowers there are with the meaning of love, and I am sure there are many more too! : )

Faith, this hub is amazing! I love it. You've done a fantastic job composing these trillinea poems and haiku poetry. These forms of poetry are so neat and creative. These images are stunning! I love all types of flowers and I love receiving them too. I forgot the last time that I received a flower arrangement. Lol. My favorite flowers from this list are the red rose, the red rosebud, the rosa red chateau and red rose sprinkled with dew drops. The pink tulips are lovely as well.

I agree with the max Muller quote," a flower can't blossom w/o

sunshine and man can't live without love. so true, love and belonging are basic needs for survival. I like the John Lennon quote and so true. Love is the flower, you've got to let grow. The best relationships start out as friendship in my opinion.

I voted in the poll. Do you believe in love at first sight? Yes, anything is possible. I am a hopeless romantic. lol. The scabious flower.. that is an unusual name for a flower; however, when I think of scabious, I think of scab, flaw or imperfection, so I can see why it would have a sad meaning. Faith, I also read your interview on the HP Newsletter. Jackie did a great job. Good interview questions. I admire your strength and courage and determination in your battle with breast cancer. Your faith in the Lord is deep and you were healed because you already believed in God's power to heal. okay so I am hitting all the buttons here except funny. voted up awesome, beautiful, useful and interesting.

Oh, sweetie, you deserve to be showered in love and surrounded by beauty each and every day . . . you and your beautiful self.

I am hopeless too . . . romantic that is lol I do believe that love at first sight is possible. Thanks for taking the poll. Yes, that scabious flower is unusual to say the least, and I can see that too, with the "scab" part.

I am so glad you like the quotes too.

Thank you so much for your kind words as to the interview Jackie did. She is a sweetheart no doubt.

My goodness, Faith Reaper, what a beautiful hub! The pictures are simply amazing and I just loved all of your creative writing (I'm not that good at understanding all of those poetic terms, but whatever you've done, I loved it!) I don't think it matters what phase we're going through in our lives, a rose is a rose is a rose! I love flowers, today, yesterday and tomorrow!

Throughout this, I thought about referring to my favorite once I got down to the comment section, but I had so many favorites that I lost track! ha ha.

Though, the Fuchsia really caught my attention and it became a fast favorite, your writing included... then I got to the jonquil and almost laughed... that is me... ha ha.

Beautiful hub Faith! I'm so glad I found it!

I am sorry, I was so very tired last night, that I just went to bed and got myself some well-deserved rest. Been burning the candle at both ends, as I am sure you understand sweetie.

Yes, I was surprised at just how many flowers have the word love as their meaning or some variation there of! And I know I missed plenty ... hahaha

Yes, the Fuchsia so beautiful with that special meaning of that one true confidant! Then the Jonquil, yes, that one whose meaning is pretty much pleading with another to love me, love me! hehehe

I am glad you found this one too! Thank you for always leaving such amazing comments, and I appreciate the vote up and more and share!

Hugs galore to you this day and I hope it is a special one,

      Hi Faithful Frank,

I am glad to know that . . . as I did unpublish initially and add more poetry, so I am just assuming a lot do not get notices after one does such. And we know what to assume means! LOL

Well, I was wondering about not "faithfully" as always promised. LOL Thank you for not forgetting this hub and I am sorry I did not know that your comment did not "faithfully" stick.

I am glad you still think so : ) ... even though I know this flowery type of hub may not appeal to most men, but I do appreciate you taking the time out return to my page to figure out to what in the world I am referring! LOL Don't you know that we women think men are mind-readers! LOL ... no, I do not think that of course. : )

Yes, a whole lot of flowers with love as their meaning going on here, and believe it or not there were more ... so I just had to stop at some point. Should have just stopped with the roses, as they are the true "love" flower of all time.

God bless you, always faithful Frank, even when I do not realize you are being such, but should have trusted it is so.

That was a fast two weeks : )

      Hugs, Faith Reaper

And to top it off, I went back and changed the sign poll, and it wiped out the votes! I am batting a 1,000 on this one! LOL

hope to write a tribute to the lovely beauty..

      only your smile is sweeter

      than then the flower ..

      only your eyes shine

with the sparkle of the sun...

only you compare to this beauty

      that the lord has created..

Lovely hub, Faith Reaper! Hey, look at that - I sort of made a pun and didn't even intend to. Hehe. Some of these flowers I've not heard of before, but dogwood trees and magnolias are everywhere where I used to live, along with pine trees. And roses are my favorite.

      Hi Shan,

Haha ... yes, sort of LOL. I grew up with an entire backyard filled with dogwood trees that looked like they were there for hundreds of years. Oh, how I looked forward to seeing them in bloom each spring. One spring, I had a little miracle happen on Easter morn, as the Lord knew in my little heart. I had written about it but wound up unpublishing some hubs from when I first joined, but may republish it as it is a true account.

Pine trees are so lovely, but when they get so tall, their limbs will break so easily and fall, plus the sap gets everywhere. I love seeing them though.

Magnolias are everywhere here and just stunning.

I cannot imagine a world without roses!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Hi Faith, I think I may have read this before, but its so beautiful I just had to come back. What is it about Roses? they are definitely something special, even without the romance or words at all, something magical I think. And the other flowers are so gorgeous, wonderful!

      Hi Nell,

Thank you for returning to this hub and leaving a comment this time. Yes, exactly ... about the roses, as they do not even need the romance part, as they stand on their beauty alone.

      I appreciate your kind comments.

      Blessings

A wonderful and beautiful hub about flowers!

I love flowers and who doesn't! Flowers always provide inspiration to me as a writer and as a human being.

The greatest lesson that the flowers teach us is that live happily, shine and make others smile--and that all this may stay for a short period of time but that should not stop you from being happy for today!

I loved all your pictures , descriptions and poems.

      Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I love what you've shared here about the greatest lesson flowers teach us! So true.

Thank you, again, for the blessing of your visit to this hub.
