Forgive or Not To Forgive

Updated on December 27, 2009

In my speaking sessions, one thing comes out very strongly:
No one is willing to FORGIVE anyone!
There seems to be a mental block against this word. I am sure
everyone have their own reasons for not forgiving people - friends and
foes alike!

Here are some wise quotes which MAY make us rethink about this:

"Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much.”

β€œTo forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."

"To err is human but to forgive is divine."

"You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well."

"When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive."

can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will
not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a canceled note - torn in
two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one."

Please feel free to add more quotes or comments on the topic!

This is by no means the end of this HOT topic. I am definitely going to write a long one on this!

Keep thinking!.
