LIVE On The Plaza District - The Plaza District located on NW 16th between Classen and Penn Avenue, is home to art galleries, studios, retail shopping, and restaurants. Inspired by Oklahoma’s state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher, is illuminated nightly with LED lights to welcome visitors to downtown. The color of light can be changed remotely, depending on the event or holiday. Grab your date and walk across the scissor-tailed flycatcher bridge at night when its lit up. And, while admission to the OKC zoo normally runs $8 per person, there are many free days throughout the year. In fact, admission is free every Monday in December, January and February.
