Gay Marriage: Why Do You Care

Updated on July 28, 2012

Chick-fil-A's President Dan Cathy statement regarding same sex marriage has set out a big debate. We all have our beliefs and opinions and since we live in America we are entitled to have our own beliefs and opinions.

Marriage is supposed to be a formal union between a man and a woman. However, people continue to change and rules will continue to change. Shouldn't we all be treated with fairness? Gays and lesbians are all people, and if they say they are in love why can't we just except that? I would like to believe just for a moment that everyone will one day get the same treatment.

In my opinion, I think we should let gays be bays and straights be straights. If you do not like when a man and man or woman and woman holding hands turn your head. Lets not judge.

In the name of that same "fairness" why can't Dan Cathy express his own beliefs about the matter without mad mobs of protesters flocking his businesses.....

If he can state his opinion why cant I? I never said he was an evil man, nor did I say I would not eat at his restaurant. I was just stating that everyone should be equals that is call.
