Happy-go-Lucky

Updated on October 24, 2011

I am a happy go lucky person.

When a person is perceive to be a happy go lucky person, what comes to your mind? Is it a person who does not take life seriously?

Carefree and light-hearted is how I define a happy go lucky person. Yet, he can still think straight when face with problems and can still listen when there is a friend in need. It just that, he chooses to be optimistic and look at the brighter side of life. He wants things to be simple. He wants to be happy through simplicity. Peace of mind is something he treasures most. Time is not of importance to him but treasures every second. Moreover, best of all, he believes that “Laughter is the Best Medicine” …

Extremities characterize a person who is so carefree. His actions can be clearly the mirror of what he feels and what he thinks but can also be deceiving in some instances. Because of his wants to be happy and not to be burdensome, he masks the sadness and pains with smiles and laughter; and fix his physique so no one will notice his sufferings. He does not talk about his problems or worries in life. Only in selected circumstances wherein only to the chosen few he speaks up what is really on his mind. However, when he found the person he really trust, he tend to be so selfish and forget about the reality – the only thing that goes in his mind is the need to release all these sufferings, pains, worries, and negative things that bothers him. In short, he blasts that the other person becomes his shock absorber. Nevertheless, his innate nature of light-heartedness will lead him to realize that he is wrong on being pessimistic to the person he trust. Hence, bounce back to life he chooses – being happy.

A happy go lucky person is emotional. Most of the times, his decision is based on what he feels, and not on what he thinks. Between truth and right, he chooses truth because the truth is the right thing for him. A thing cannot turn right unless it is the truth or it is the reality.

He lives in the present. He does not live for the past or the future. The present is the gift for him. The past did make him of who he is today, and the future will be define of whom he is today. Hence, it is the present that he values most. Living life to the fullest as if it is the end is a thought he always bears in mind.

Lastly, these are just my opinion of who a happy go lucky person is. I do not have any proof on these characteristics. Happy reading :)

I wish I could be Happy go Lucky all of the time, instead of the old doll with the huge heart who shares every bodies problems. But alas I can't. I am in love with the imagine, in fact I would love to be in love with the person, but I am just an old mother earth creature living from day to day. Great hub.

This is a good hub! I wrote a hub on the connection between deep thinking and depression. I talk about carefree people in there. I don't think it's that they don't take life seriously, it's they have the ability to let go of negative thoughts. Some people aren't able to do this. Carefree people can. It's something I wish I could do! Thanks for sharing this hub!

I admire happy-go-lucky people who choose to be happy most of the time. I think living in the present saves you from a lot of sadness and anger.
