He Is Our Refuge

Updated on October 28, 2010

Psalm 91:4

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

How often do we feel so alone and so afraid? The harsh world and all the pain we feel as we travel this road of life. But as Christians we have that one refuge we can go to, we have Jesus Christ who will cover us and protect us, He has our back no matter what we go through. Satan will try to rip us up as we go through trials and storms but we can run to Jesus and He will cover us with His feathers and under His wings we will find refuge.

I myself have been going through a hard time with depression and I feel sometimes God has left me, but I have to remember He told me and all that He will never leave us nor forsake us, not ever. It's hard at times when we seek things that are not of the Lord but He stands with His arms open wide for us, no matter what is going on in our lives He is always there.

Keep looking up my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus will come one day to take us home, He is our strength and our Lord, and one day we will sore on wings like eagles.

Indeed, He is our refuge. This is Truth that has nothing to do with feeling...thank you, Lord! Feelings come and go, but He is unchanging. Thank you again, Lord!

Jesusismyjoy, Still Love the name my Sister in Christ Jesus. Betty you know one Friday night I was in a Praise and Worship and the Spirit came over me and I was Blessed within my Spirit. The Next Morning was Saturday I was up early and Praying and giving thanks and something hit me in my Spirit that I could have the same Love and Experience within the Spirit right there at the table. Just Like the night before but even better. He is so Wonderful and His Mercies are from everlastings to everlastings. Glory and Honor to our Lord God Almighty! Amen

We can give Him thanks even when we don't feel like it merely for His promises....and that He will never leave us or forsake us. When we put our efforts into focusing on Him rather than our problems, those dark clouds are often lifted. I agree with DeBorrah...put on the praise music. He never lets go of us.

Betty you are so true, we do have a refuge where we can go to every minute of each day, yes and His name is Jesus, as we go through this world we do need so much rest as we try to do more than that is expected just to keep in the circle of friends we have.

But praise God we can rest in the arms of our Lord at any time.

      God loves you

Jesusmyjoy, The Lord's Promises are ALL true! "He will never leave nor forsake you!" The enemy just wants you to feel like He has. He is everywhere you are... But youmust reach out to HIM!

Remember the Word teaches us; The "JOY" of the LORD that is your strength...

Turn on some good Gospel music and PRAISE HIM and meditate on HIS WORD; in the midst of whatever you are going through even if it is quietly... Allow the Words to inspire you and renew your HOPE! There are brighter days ahead... Be encouraged!

As you say JESUS MY JOY!

In HIS Love, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings

Many times in my life I just wanted to be covered and hidden in Him. I love Psalm 91 as it is all about that.

Thank you for sharing your struggles and how you are trusting Him through them.

I believe we all have trials, changes of seasons within our spirits, mood differences yet remember with depression, the Devil will try to take your soul and with discouragement comes hope that leads to faith, strength and understanding. In my prayers hon.

He often lets us go through some things though He never leaves us. It is often a matter of trust. Do we trust him enough to go through it all without losing faith. It is also the reverse. Can He trust you?

Can He trust you to carry the vision and testimony to others who need to see and hear it?
