Healing A Settled Issue

Updated on May 4, 2013

God is a Spirit

John 9 says, God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship in Spirit and in truth. The problem is that we have been so used to dealing with our 5 senses that we depend on them even in the spiritual and so we expect to hear or feel something when the Word of faith says, “you are healed”.

As believers we have a tendency to drift into the atmosphere of the carnal man, which has nothing to do with the spiritual man.

Romans 8:5, 7, “for to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”.

The carnal mind is enmity against God, meaning the carnal mind loathes God, it despises and hates him, it is not subject to the laws of God, neither does it want to be or can be.

Therefore, we have false expectations because our flesh deceives us into believing that unless we hear thunder and see angels flying, then nothing is happening in the spiritual and therefore God is not intervening in our circumstances. Even with some of us, if when the minister prays we do not fall under the power of the Holy Ghost, then we surmise that nothing took place. And so we let our doubts have the better of us.

We desire to be spit on, slapped in the face, hit in the stomach but if that’s where God has to meet you, then his compassion never fails.

Access Granted

Some times a believer has doubts in the area of healing and so God, in his lovingkindness, will access the believer’s atmosphere to strengthen his belief, so that he or she may receive their free gift. The point of access may be discomforting to a believer, for God has to penetrate and settle your spirit so that your focus will be on Him and not on the symptom of the sickness or the evil that has your attention.

Now the word “sickness”, in the Greek language, is translated as “evil”. So sometimes, in order for you to get anything from God, the “evil” must be destroyed and as we have already showed, one evil is pride. In the course of this destruction of evil, a relationship is being constructed that will stand against the future turbulence of the evil one. A turbulent condition is anywhere that instability is in your atmosphere.

So then, when God takes you to a place of prepared turbulence, he is taking you to a “good place
