Heart of a Thousand Steps

Updated on December 30, 2011
Source

The path I take you on goes deep inside

Winding and twirling, nothing is left behind

Each step closer to the heated light

Where passion and love reignite

When you come into my sacred boudoir

You will see much beauty

It's a place where lies

No hate

No fury

Through the midst your mind's keeper

Into my heart you will sink deeper

Like a sandstorm from centuries ago

Winding around you not letting go

Take a sip from my little heart's desire

Take a seat and feel my fire

Each step closer to an ectasy

That you have never known

Sit back and relax

You won't be alone

I will take you higher

To another land

Where gods and goddesses joined close at hand

Walking through a garden of roses

No losses

No games

No imposes

This reminds me of a book title by Thorne Smith, ‘Night Life of the Gods’. Very evocative poetry.
