His love felt like...

A sweet nectar that came from the heavens

Magic that swirled in circles around me

Soft and gentle

Warm water slowly trickling down me

Flowered oil soaked in the pours

Filling me up with heat

Heightened energy that brought life to me

An electricity shooting through my limbs

Loving myself more and more each and every day

The darkness left and went away

Like a fairy that didn't stray

And the air on a hot summer day

It was so near to me

And he was so very dear

His words felt like the whisper of the wind

Brushing gently against my lips

The first taste of ice cream on a hot day

When you know you made it through

A storm

Like you're never alone

The most beautiful girl in town

No fear just happiness

A security I've never known

Just like peace

For a lifetime in stone

CloudExplorer wow you really analyzed my poem. I am so happy. I love that you took the time out to read and try and understand it. The poem is about a woman who is thinking about someone she really loved who's not around at the moment. The line "A security I've never known" means she hasn't ever had security like this before with anyone. Thank you for your great comment. I am flattered. :)

I sense with this poem the Lady has a strong sense of self, she's proud of who she is, how he touched her & wants this man dearly, but wants even more from what she once had.

Somewhat like her imagination runs wild just thinking about him, but she cant truly have it all from him anymore. Is she dreaming of this man that she's in pursuit of or wanting more from, because it appears that way towards the end with the line "A security I've never known".

I love poetry like this, it makes you wonder if there's more to it all. At least that's my take on it. Yet another awesome poem by you @ carolinemd21, voted up & I'm joining your fan club. LOL

Very nice poem. It made me think of that new, fresh love. Especially when you said "an electricity shooting through my limbs." There's something so exciting and intense about a new (or even forbidden) love. Made me think back to some nostalgic times...
