How to give a sensual massage

Safety First

To create the recipes above we are using essential pure oils which can be quite potent, so it is worth the time to take a few careful steps.

Step one. Always wear gloves when dealing with essential pure oils, this is too help avoid any skin irritations… (always use a carrier oil before applying any oils to the skin)

Step two. Never use essential oils internally, don’t sallow or use in your nose, ears or other body openings as this can cause a severe reaction…

Step three. Always try to use a dark bottle for your oils as this helps to increase shelf life…

Step four. Keep out of reach of children, there are also certain essential oils that you should avoid when pregnant consult an aroma therapist, naturopath or your doctor to be sure… (cedar wood, cinnamon, ginger, sage just to name a few)

Step five. When using a new oil for the first time it is always wise to do a skin test first

Dip a cotton bud into your new oil and apply to the inside of your wrist or elbow if no irritation occurs after 6 to 8 hours it is safe to use on your skin…

(another way to test is to use 1 drop of your oil in half a teaspoon of oil and apply to the same places as above, waiting 8 hours to see if you have a reaction)

Step six. If you experience a burning sensation with the use of essential oils on your skin simply add more carrier oil to the area of skin to help absorb the essential oil and relieve the stress to your skin…

Hope you enjoy these recipes :)

Well - I'll have to pass on the sensual part, but I do have massages for my health and just to treat myself. You've given some good options for making your own massage oil. I often use coconut oil directly from the jar and love this stuff. Thanks.

I'm learning to make my own blends and knowing which ones are aphrodisiacs and which aren't is important. Right now I'm focusing on Relaxation and calming or stress relief. Should I stay away from the aphrodisiacs and include only the ones that are not aphrodisiacs?
