Keeping Better Relationships With Everyone

Updated on January 22, 2014

Times are changing very fast. A noticeable rise is being witnessed on the extra stress that is placed on achieving as much as we can in a limited amount of time. This kind of attitude is affecting badly the overall social relationships. In our desires to run after more we are almost near to ignoring and are not being much attentive to the relations around us.

An important aspect however, is that we the social beings can never stay greatly apart from people in our lives. It is in our genes and our requirement to live, communicate, and make connections with each other and holds much importance. For those who feel that they are losing or have lost touch with their friends and family, it is never too late. There is always room for recovery and building a better style of sharing your relationship. For the matter of developing good relationship with people existing around you, all you have to do is to take following points into consideration and see how much amount of admiration and respect you will gain from them.

Keeping better relations with everyone around us is not so difficult. We have to just follow some simple things and with a little bit of effort and sharing we can bring joy and happiness not only to others but to ourselves also.

If you give importance to others, other people will value you too and realize your worth. Not only this, every relation requires a better understanding of the other person. Only then it is possible to live in harmony with each other. No matter if it is your significant other, your kids or anyone of your family and friends, you have to concentrate on the understanding and valuing part much. Learn to listen to them, learn to give them their space, and learn to compromise on many things. With this kind of practice, others will trust you to a great extent and will know that they mean something to you. Ultimately they will realize your worth and in return you will also learn a lot about them through talking and sharing with them in every way. This helps you connect on a one to one level, which is a vital key to build successful relationships.

Understanding and listening to each other is something which the core of a good relationship. You have to establish a certain level of connection with those around you in a way that they feel comfortable in your presence. Paying your good attention to what others have to share with you and understanding them at your best is something that is always appreciated and admired by everyone all the time.

You might have heard much about the saying that relationships are all about give and take. This, in fact is very true as there are always some kinds of expectations that we attach with each other. If one side is being generous in everything with you, then it is also very much possible the other person expects the same from you. You cannot clap with one hand; similar is the case in the shape of our relationships. You have to give back in order to take. With respect, interest, and consideration for each other building a healthy relation with others is attainable and is essential.

In a relationship of any kind respect is something that matters a lot. In order to build a healthy relationship with your friends and family, the mutual respect is something which needs to be considered. There are people who just try to force their selves on others. They not simply criticize but also do not refrain from passing judgements about others . In other words they force their opinions, ideas, and constantly tell others what to do. This kind of attitude is never appreciable and needs to be corrected.

The best thing to do in such a case is to learn how to deal with others politely. If you don’t agree with them, learn to refuse in a good way. Advise in a gentle manner and guide with a softer tone. By making just a little bit of effort, it becomes much easier to establish healthier relations with others.

Your own way of communication is also that matters. Instead of keeping things in your heart and restricting your emotions, expectations, and desires you have to learn to talk to your friends and family in a clear way. Always remember that with effective communication things become much easier to understand for others and for you as well. Sharing yourself in a good way is something that is vital for your good relationships with others.

There are people who just don’t have the least possible idea what forgiveness is and they keep on concentrating on the mistakes of others. This, I strongly believe is not the right kind of attitude for establishing a healthy relationship. In order to co-exist; it is really important to ignore the mistakes of others. Focus on the good sides of a person and learn to forgive for whatever wrong that they did. If something really bothers you about something, then it is much better to sit, talk, or discuss with the concerned person. Clear out your mind about them instead of keeping grudges and disappointed attitude in your both heart and mind. With tolerance, forgiveness, and a better understanding about other person’s point of view, it is possible to maintain a good relationship with them.

Thus if you want a healthy, sustainable relationship with everyone, you need to focus your energy on the development of effective communication with sharing, listening, and understanding. Always keep a thing in mind that others require same amount of attention and time that you expect from them. So for a healthier and a stronger relationship you have to re- address and re- evaluate your priorities. Only then it is possible to build great connections and relations with others.
