Create a Second Life account now by going to and choosing your screen name and starter avatar. After you have created your account, you will need to download the Second Life viewer found at Complete the installation, launch the viewer, and login using your new account settings.

When you first arrive in-world you will be teleported to Orientation Island where you will undergo a series of training exercises to develop your movement in the Second Life world. Your avatar will be kitted out with the standard Second Life inventory, including a small selection of clothing. Take this time to explore your inventory and acquaint yourself with all the features within your viewer. The more familiar you are with how your avatar can move, the better.
