I Lit A Candle

Updated on August 8, 2017
I Love you
I Love you

I lit a candle for you today, then I got down on my knees to pray.

That God would keep you safe from harm, away from the cold, and in his arms.

I prayed that you would stay close to me, that what I asked would come to be.

I lit a candle for you today, that the memories of us would still remain.

I prayed that God would keep you near, to me the one who loves you dear.

I prayed that you would feel no pain, that the love we felt would still remain.

I prayed that you would make it through the hard times that lie ahead for you.

I prayed you would know I'm here for you.

I prayed God  would give you strength in all you do.

I lit a candle for you today, to say the things I can't say.

To say I'll love you until the end, that you are my lover, my best friend.

To say I'll never let you go, to say that I'll always love you so.

I prayed I'll be here until the end, your never alone, just take my hand.

I lit a candle for you today, Just know I love you so,

Hold onto me me and onto God, we'll never let you go!!

With all my love,

To my husband Fernando,

Your wife, Chris

Answered Prayers

My prayers were answered on November 13th, 2016. My husband was released under the 2% program we are once again together and doing great though he is having to adjust to a different world. There no tablets and touch screen phones before he went in so he is sometimes frustrated by the technology.

But I still thank God every day that I am once again in his arms.

It is so good to see you again. I am so sorry that you are ill. I am also not doing well lately. Keep praying and know that God has the power to heal all. God Bless and keep you and yours safe in his care. Let me know how you are doing.

      Warmest regards,

I am doing better. It sometimes takes awhile to come out of these episodes. It has been a rough two months. Again I am so sorry about your sister. My husband is my inspiration and strength.I thank God for him everyday and look forward to him being home soon even though five years is a long time.
